What fucking paint do Norks use?

Small point of order: They had the most ADVANCED army but not the strongest. That is, they had recently modernized all their equipment so no WWI legacy weapons were gumming up the works. Czech war plans still relied on the Brits coming to bail them out in the event of war - which is why they listened to Chamberlain's retarded ass idea.

To add to that, Skoda made some of the finest heavy artillery in the world. Those mountain forts had a ton of heavy siege guns aimed at Germany.

To be fair, the 155th were one of the better-performing units in the early days of the war. Granted the bar was not becoming a meme like the VDV at Hostomel and Odessa, and not getting their teeth smashed in the failed assault on Kharkiv 4th Guards.

155th were one the legit "hard" units of the Russian army. They were deployed in Chechnya and Syria, and were by most accounts one of the few competent units because they were attached to the Pacific fleet and thus were expected to be bulwark against the Yellow Menace. They had been compared favorably to a US marine brigade, including having their own armor. (you know back then the marines still had tanks)

After about year in to the Special Military Oopsie, specifically in the late 2022 attempts to reverse the Kharkiv counter offensive, they have been pretty well gutted. Other than some very senior officers/NCOs I've been told there are no soldiers from pre-SMO days left: All dead, injured, or termed out and didn't reenlist. What you have left is a bunch of fresh moblik replacements who are trained by, effectively, injured soldiers too fucked up to fight or who didn't deploy. This has turned what was extremely difficult combat training into normal russian military homoerotic hazing with an extra level of Ukraine-PTSD. this is why the 155 guys have been doing a bunch of warcrimes lately.

This makes this unit a perfect example of Russian civilisation, picked by Putin himself to represent the armed forces.

Joe McDonald, a volunteer since the start of the invasion, interviewed by Britbong history enthusiast & overall eccentric LindyBeige has posted an update 2 days ago about visiting the Netherlands for his brigade and wider Ukraine.
Apparently, he personally spoke with Dutch MoD officials & other big wigs, along with a company that's developing waterborne drones there.

Seems that countries are starting to wake up and take a microscope to the experience of the average footman.

For those unfamiliar with Joe, he came as a regular foot soldier before becoming a sapper & drone pilot with the marines in the Kherson direction. His videos/vlogs tend to offer an interesting micro scale perspective that larger news outlets do not offer. I've personally found him to be the best way to have a window into the smallest scope of this conflict ever since another volunteer, Brandon Mitchell, left Ukraine.

They're also the main foreign supplier of armor to the English Royal Navy. Since the WNT "build holiday" royally fucked the entire supply infrastructure of England naval industry and especially the foundries.

Edit: English foundries were making armor for the battleships and such but there weren't enough of them to make the plates on the schedule the Admiralty had. So they went abroad and hired the Czechs to make the additional armor plating for them.

With Russia possessing limited fuel ship capacity and major carriers refusing to dock in Crimea, the Russians have instead resorted to using river barges as improvised fuel transport vessels to transit the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea from refineries on the mainland to the depots in Crimea. The problem though is many of these vessels are well past their service date. They were also intended to serve as RIVER barges, not high sea vessels. So they are quite literally being split in half by the open waters when the winds pick up.

According to discord chatter, supposedly the drones that hit the residential areas were aimed at industrial targets but fell off-course to to EW/jamming.

Grain of salt though, as most the claims are coming from >bluesky accounts though. I'll update later if solid proof of the claim comes through.

Equally it could have been a mistake setting a low flight plan and not taking the skyscrapers into account.

Basically they have a parallel chemical industry to the rest of the world that uses coal instead of oil, since that’s what they can access.
So all their textiles are or where made from Vinylon, which is notably shiny.
They’ve either adopted that aesthetic for their paint, or it’s similarly from a bit weird and basic chemical process and can’t get it to do mat.

It’s unflattering for a big vehicle to have gloss paint though, at it shows up all non-flatness in the large flat panels, as well as being the opposite of camo.

I don't even know for how long Russian women have been bitching about the absolute state of Russian men, their terrible prospects for stable marriages, etc etc. It's just drunkeness, poverty & abuse all the way down for them; but aside from shitty (or lack of) parenting, it's during their mandatory training where they learn most of that shit.
