Mike's been talking about being scared shitless of retaliation for years, he still can't shake the Monty thing. They both talk about having reoccuring nightmares because of this show, also shout out to retard Mike for literally saying both of them wouldn't be able to hear if someone broke in during the 10 hours they stay on set. he has thousands of subs, at least 3k paypiggys probably a lot more. viewcount live i think might be around 500, but you have to be a sub to watch live. But in terms of cultural awareness he's insanely well known, he's like a one man kiwifarms for stand up comedy and podcasters. Him going after Chris D'Elia meant when that metoo happened he fucking exploded in popularity thanks to tiktok and podcast clippers.

Most people don't know this but he proudly avoided even letting people clip his show until 2018 and would report people for it. But ever since he's just exploded. literally the biggest comedy podcasts have shouted him out by name. The only reason he's got a smaller online footprint is him deliberately reporting subreddits and the like. You can pretty much post about him anywhere online and everyone knows who he is. He's probably the most famous person with a thread here that's not a politician or billionaire. If you know who Shane Gillis is, you know redbar. He's the closest thing to a "normie" underground band. like listening to MGMT, they're not hugely known but any modern rock station plays them annoyingly a lot. If you have any knowledge of comedy or podcast drama you know this guy.

Its like knowing who Nick Rekieta is in 2021. If you were watching lawtube it would almost be impossible not to know.

Of course they might not know too much, but they recognize the name and have seen clips

Can anyone find the episode where Dean is in denial about how much money his impounded car is worth, and then someone calls in while on Kelley Blue Book's website and confirms that he is indeed upside down on it? It's fucking hilarious and I want to hear it again.
 
Mike is live, he really seems to be going through the motions, he does one extra long show every two weeks and they're all way better clipped because they cut out his rambling bullshit. first one since the election btw.

its a classic episode. RED BAR RADIO (03-17-08). In general that entire 07-first half of 08 era is amazing, and its telling that those are the most requested episodes/favorite episodes of "old redbar" (07-2012) Honestly there are more good episodes in 2007 then there were from 2008-2014 combined.

Its a lot like Wreckless Media Radio, the 2007 year was its best year then it became a slog to get through. both shows sort of suffered from being stuck in that 2007 "kid show" mindset. Like Mike would just watch tv and commentate on it or talk about boogers or his new diet and WMR was similarly just grasping at straws. Mike was still trying to find cohosts and get people talking and it just never really worked. once he did that final retool in 2015 it took off, but 2014 might as well be another shitty show Mike mocked like tommync

Yeah it kinda sucks now. I'm two hours in, and this is the third time I've tried to sit through it. I can only do 30-60 minutes at a time. Used to love binge watching it.

He seems more full of himself, whereas pre-grey haired wannabe fashionable nigger Redbar was more just a cool funny asshole dude (not that this is news).

The part about Hinchcliff alienating half his audience by supporting a presidential candidate was interesting, though not in the way he intended. He goes on and on about how no comedian wants to do that, and how bad it is. Which is unsurprising, as Mike never seems to say anything in support of anything politically without attaching some sort of lame "JK" at the end.

I skimmed through the last show and I have to say, Michael’s lack of talent and overall patheticness is seriously impressive. Not only does the midget show up looking like a reanimated cadaver, he's starting to perform like one too. Something's definitely off since his comeback because his voice is becoming so nasally and whiny that I can't even get through a single segment of that garbage show anymore, even when clipped out on Youtube. He also drags out what could be said in a single sentence and rambles on about it endlessly and doesn't know when to shut the fuck up and move on. There’s really no punchline in anything that pathetic piece of shit says or does anymore.

I keep waiting for this so-called "comedian" to say something funny or at the very least insightful, but Red Bar has become nothing more than a platform for a dejected midge to kvetch about nothing for hours on end. He basically swapped out any semblance of humor for that cringe explosion sound he recycles after every sentence like a stunted idiot who’s delusional enough to believe that’s making him come off as funny. Michael must have a very low opinion of his audience if he thinks he can charge them money to cam up once a month and play hour long clips of other shows acknowledging his existence while spamming that stupid sound drop in the midst of complaining about what a miserable faggot he is.

It’s also embarrassing how this midget can’t even have an honest opinion on anything anymore out of fear of being criticized, even though the entire premise of his show revolves around making fun of people and their opinions. So instead he pretends to have "contrarian" views by ironically taking the opposite side of what he actually thinks because he’s too scared to have his own political views or takes on world events out there, and now he’s even stopped criticizing certain people he wants to win over like a little worm. I can see (5'6, 110lbs) why he’s a spineless bitch, but how can you be that pathetic and still act as conceited as he does? Where does Michael get off thinking he’s worth something when everyone knows he’s a socially inept midget who’s back in diapers like a baby because his brain is so shot?

I feel like the empty praise from Red Bar fans went straight to Michael’s bobble head and he started believing it like a dipshit. It also doesn’t help that he created a literal echo chamber for himself in the BBG where only morons who praise him unconditionally are allowed to stay. I'm sure the “Red Bar in the Wild” segment got to Michael’s head too and made him think he’s on the same level as them because they mentioned him in passing, which is both hilarious and sad. But let’s face it, he’s literally just the retarded kid in the class that everyone feels bad for, so when someone praises or acknowledges his sad life, it’s only to make the midget feel better about himself. And besides, everyone that knows about Red Bar knows about this thread and knows what Michael is, so who does this closet case think he's fooling at this point?

the normies mainly. you'd be surprised how few people know about A. Mike's pre-2020 era or B. that kiwifarms exists. Also Mike is financially responsible enough that at this point as long as he has 500 pay piggies he's fine. the fact he has 10x that mean's hes doing great. plus he's not spending all his money on cigs, booze, or weed anymore so he's saving even more money.

Jules is living an amazing life, she just has to wack off mike a couple times a month and she gets to live like a little rich girl and watch her favorite tv shows and movies and play video games all day.

I don't think Mike will die, he'll just make less and less episodes, if you notice his eyes are fucked up, and he's lost the ability to wear pants since 2019 at the latest. as long as he can, he'll keep doing the show, he's had much worse periods and much better ones. 2012 was nauseating to get through.

That's exactly what I've been trying to say, but I couldn't put it into words as well as that. Well done and thank you lol, that's something that really annoys me about him, along with the over-indulgent ego stroking and snail's pace of the show. It's too much of a chore to try to watch anymore.

Mike ceding more producer powers to Jules has made her quite annoying. Multiple instances in this latest episode. The part with Tony's special where she first begged Mike to watch the whole thing, only to pivot once the inevitable burn out of momentum into saying the chat and the viewers wanted the whole thing and she always tries to explain it never works. Stealing redbars essence like Rogue. For 13 hours I am tepid in approving the quality of content, compared to how hard they both carry on about being the best.
