Warhammer 40k

This is probably going to be an dumb as hell question but fuck it, is there any """based""" non-grifting Warhammer content creator? I want to keep a list of them because it's only a matter of time before more and more Warhammer content creators old and new will shoehorn in troonery, unwanted politicking, and other unwanted nonsense. And since I'm asking this question let me ask another probably dumb as hell question, is there a list of people whose content you would recommend avoiding? Especially "well known" content creators. I have my suspicions of Mr.Bones since he associates with a few troons. I hope Baldermort isn't someone I should avoid...on purpose, I forgot about him for a while now and haven't seen his latest stuff, though he associates with Majorkill (raincheck) so probably.
Do you guys think it's worth getting into 40k in Current Year? I've been vaguely interested in playing for over a decade now but my only actual tabletop experience playing it was a demo game of Kill Team 5 years ago.
My favorite subfactions are the Kroot and Death Korps and seems like the Kroot have gotten a decent amount of support this year (even if they still suck according to this thread recently?) and Death Korps are getting some new models next year too so I figure if I'm going to get into the game now is as good a time as any. I've already got a decent painting/modelling setup from when I used to paint/kitbash RPG minis so I won't have to invest in that at least.
I'd say yeah, if you can get models for cheap on Ebay or are willing to throw down some money on your future new plastic crack addition and find the "right" kind of autistic group you'll have a great time. If you're already experienced in painting and kitbashing you're already ahead of most 40k fans. The most recent Tau codex IIRC gave the Kroot a subfaction or some shit and you can run a Kroot army...I don't think it's good but you can. Kroot are more "supporting/specialized units" of the entire Tau empire so it's probably better to run a "mostly" Kroot than Tau. I could also be wrong and retarded so please correct me if I'm wrong, I don't want to be like the other guy on here who got BTFO'd a while back for pretending to know what he was talking about (in fact I haven't seen him since).
You fucking feral baboons are the reason the actual criticisms for the direction GW is taking are treated like jokes. Its got the same airs as the feds lumping flat earthers in with the people that called out MK Ultra, its so egregiously obvious.

Garbage like this sadly gets engagement as well, INB4 that faggot Endymion uses this article as a "trusted source."
Merry Christmas & Screw The Woke..

Is that Tom McDonald?
Fucking K E K. I only ever heard of him from his Ben Shapiro video. Man I hate "woke" faggotry as much as the next person but Jesus...despite what I wrote on the top of this post you might need to get off the internet for a bit.
YouTube keeps bombarding me with rouge trader vids
seems like Owlcat found out how to promote their games, cant wait for normies to be exposed to their autism and be frustrated as fuck
Ahhh, Owlcat. God why the fuck do they get the licenses to make Pathfinder CRPGs and Rogue Trader. Hope they don't make a Dark Heresy CRPG...fuck it I'll take it over Larian, especially their character builder.

Rag on the guys ya want, but they actually kept the TTRPG mechanics in the video game form, instead of dumbing it way down. Also, I don't think Dark Heresy is popular enough to adapt into a CRPG.

You're not wrong, and I am grateful for that. Well, parts of it, certain other parts I'm not too keen on. The rest of the game I am not however grateful for. Also was Rogue Trader any popular in the Warhammer community before the CRPG? If it wasn't at all, Dark Heresy would could get a bigger chance, hopefully with someone more competent.

I'd say ye, Rogue Trader def had bigger popularity when it came to the TTRPG crowd Warhammer fans. I think the reason for that you aren't restricted on making a PC like you are in Dark Heresy or DeathWatch for example. In Rogue Trader, you are allowed to play as a Tau, Eldari, Kroot, hell you can even play as an Ork if you wanna. Combined that the adventure itself can be over the top and pulpy or dark and serious mystery.

One that's actually "based" but isn't some whiny retard? They don't exist. At best you get content creators that are obviously left leaning at a minimum but leave the politics out of it, but that's mostly on the painting side of things. Not lore or gameplay. They're either whiny morons who haven't played in years and bitch about everything GW does like it's the end of the fucking world, or they're just right wing grifters instead of woke morons from the left.

Kroot have a detachment in the codex(kroot hunting pack), and there's also a joint species detachment that Tau just got the other week(auxiliary cadre) that does shit like force opponents to re-target kroot instead of shooting at Tau assets(among other things).
Really the biggest problem kroot have is that for the most part, they're Tau chaff units so running an army of them is never going to be great due to them not having much(like wanting to run an all grot ork army, or an all cultist chaos army, shit like that) in addition to being t3 6+(but it makes sense due to most of them having scout, infiltrator, stealth, etc.), or a whopping t6 5+ for the mounted units. Vespid are at least t4 4+. Tau auxiliary races really are just a "fluff" thing for GW for a while now, but at least the new detachment tries to cater to people who want that.

If you want to see a real dumpster fire of a mixed up army that doesn't need to exist, Imperial Agents does it far worse than Tau. However GW wanted an excuse to sell a codex for a bunch of units imperial players were taking as allies.

My YouTube recommends have a bunch of "40k abandoned by FLGS! GW is cooked!" type click bait as of late.

Short answer. No.
Long answer. It's complicated.

If you have the money and it looks interesting to you, sure, why not. You already have a minis background so you should known if it's your thing. However, the game is supposedly in a bad place, while the hobby, business, and community sides are a shadow of their former selves. If you're new and lack that experience, it might not bother you.

If Death Korps are your bag, I recommend looking into third party models. A great thing about any guard sub-faction is that GW doesn't have the copyright on space soldier, so there's lots of third party options in plastic or 3D print. So might be a good way to fill out an army.

DreadAnon.
I mean he did get his start in 4chan, unsurprising. However I'm not entirely convinced he isn't just slightly less normie than the average normalfag. Then again he could just not want to be banned off the platform if he says something like "niggerman" again.
"Wait, it's all grifting?"
"Always has been (since the culture wars)."
Well, speak of the retard.
Something involving clocks and working.
Give or take, yap.
"Just wanted to make sure my sources were straight man! Totally not just a fat fuck who can't do proper research to save his life!" Christ the Henry Cavill head in the thumbnail too, 67,000 views in only 6 hours, it's just sad. Would be hilarious if Henry just told these guys to fuck off already.

Maybe it was the GW trailer but he looks huge.
He does look pretty big, but I'm assuming he'll wind up being about the same size as his brothers. I'm actually quite psyched about the model in general. It looks cool and they've got the Hellraiser aesthetic I was hoping for with that flayed-open section on his stomach. Plus he's got a copy of Fireblade because he still can't let go of Ferrus telling him to fuck off when he tried to recruit him for Team Horus. Good reveal. Excited to see the rest of the new Noise Marines whenever they get around to showing those off.

Lets assume this fucker's as tall as an Armiger; I don't think that's unreasonable. His wings are just as tall or taller than him. We're talking 10-12" or so here, aren't we? And it's going to be resin, so those wings are going to last maybe one trip to/from the gaming table before they snap off.
That's the forgeworld horus heresy version from a year or two ago. It would be really weird for the 40k version to be resin, when mortarion, angron, and magnus are plastic. This is the new 40k fulgrim
xmasreveal-dec25-pic1-rxez6hhnj8.jpg
his latest version of the daemonic Third Primarch joins his brothers Magnus, Mortarion and Angron as a plastic kit. Just like them, he appears corrupted by ten thousand years of exposure to the Warp – the difference between his new form and the Fulgrim Transfigured miniature from the Horus Heresy shows the effect the Empyrean can have on even the most willing of daemonic tyrants.
