Really, he could only encourage this sort of mature, responsible stress-management.
If she's looking after herself like this, it really takes a lot off of his plate.
Listen up Kiwi Fag. If his daughter just takes his coke without permission, what can a trad dad do?

What do you expect him to do? Violate the NAP?

Edit: Oh, Jesus, Rand does come up in this thread since 2019 but I can't find him referencing it. If he did take Ayn Rand to heart then he likely is an atheist larping as a Christian.
That's exactly what he is. Jokes about his e-god Juju aside.

You can be a small government conservative. You can hold some libertarian values and still call yourself Christian. I know plenty of people like that. Plenty of good decent people. Some of the best, even. That's not the issue.

But you can't be a committed Objectivist and a Christian. The utter contempt shown to altruism, the worship of selfishness, and the outright rejection of religion and God shits the bed.

Nick is an Objectivist masquerading as a Christian

And if he wants to be a Randroid, that's fine. This is America. Freedom of and from religion.

But when he tries to be both at the same time, he should be mocked for it.

I do not recall whether Rand specifically talked about private altruism.
I do. She rejected altruism as a moral imperative, and not just as a state mandate (though she certainly rejected the latter as well). A moral imperative is separate from a law, and one can exist without the other.

Rejection of altruism as a moral imperative is simply inconsistent with Christianity. Especially as, in the case of the U.S., Christianity is practiced under a system of government in which a wall of separation exists between church and state, and the church can't imprison you for defying them. There's your private altruism.

Had Rand only been been bitching about a welfare state, I wouldn't be pressing this point.
It's easy to say that Rand was only speaking out about mandatory altruism, but Christ compels altruism.

Rand didn't just believe a government functions best when altruism is dispensed with, but also humanity as well. As a Christian, she loses me on that second point.

What do you expect him to do? Violate the NAP?
Especially since, had his daughter asked for some coke, she would have asked in a "faggy manner," thus violating the NAP herself.

This thread has tried to noodle out a consistent position from Nick, but it is a futile endeavor when he pulls out: 'Well, it was true at the time...' as a post hoc justification and laments how he cannot tell the whole story ..
When I was looking for a clip of Nick talking about Ayn, this popped up. I'd never seen it. It's 57 seconds. Nick's voice.

I'd argue this would be his only consistent position through all of his years streaming:

This is what snapped me out of the Rand-nosis I was under for a year or two of my life. I was and am fully on board with rejecting mandatory altruism. I do however applaud voluntary altruism. At first, I thought I just disagreed with Rand about a few issues on the periphery, but as time went on, I found her increasingly insufferable. My favorite contradiction of hers is that Israel is objectively better than Palestine because it has the mental power to design, build and operate better technologies, but we as Americans should contribute to Israel (her one exception to the "no charity" rule) because they need our weapons of war to win the fight. Which is it? Are they objectively better because their mental superiority allows them better weapons of war or do they need our weapons of war to win the fight?

Da fuck is this? Lolbertcore? Lolbertwave?

It's extremely homosexual, is what it is.

Like, I get it, this is a variation of good quote (commonly but incorrectly attributed to Jefferson):

When government fears the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny.

But holy shit, sampling from Nick Rekieta for that song doesn't age well.

"They abused my principles!"
-Man whose daughter tested positive for cocaine

Junkie brained Nick will literally blame everyone but himself for his failings

2025 is going to be a fun year, he's gonna spiral hard. It's in his junkie nature.
The broken man is likely to break down and overdose due the fact his life collapsed around him.

Suicide is a very real possibility

Nick has no values other than pleasing himself. "Nick wants what he wants." Any philosophy assigned (self- or otherwise) is just cover and a means to an end for Nick.
Nick will probably do the Lowtax thing of switching from libertarian to some sort of Democratic Socialist/Bernie Bro if and when the money dries up. It was always the hedonism part that appealed to him, rather than the self-reliance part.
Atlas Shrugged is on par with Mein Kampf in regards to being a book that most people who have claimed to have read it, never have.

Ayn Rand is a fucking slog to get through and Atlas Shrugged, in particular, is hilariously bad. It's on par with Battlefield Earth.
It’d call it the My Immortal of political theory, but My Immortal is far easier to get through.

I was thinking more about altruism through generational wealth. Would Nick's trust fund from his grandfather exist under Randian style economics? It wouldn't under communism, it would have been seized (or taxed after death).

I don't mind an economic system that doesn't have a moral imperative to be altruistic. How people give away their own money is their business. That means they can give or tithe to the church of their choice, a relative, etc, etc. I'm not particularly fond of the government deciding which kinds of voluntary altruism is most preferred through "tax deductions." But make no mistake, Nick is a welfare recipient of his grandfather.

An interesting deep dive would be to see what government benefits Nick has applied for or received. If Nick is living off of some post-tax lump sum of money, he may have zero income. Just a pot of cash. The government uses income (sometimes just wage income), not wealth, as their test. He may qualify for medical care and food subsidies based on that.

I use Filmot to search YT transcripts. I suggest 'Atlas' as a search term on his channel.

He has alleged he was 'on foodstamps' when he and his wife were 'poor'. I doubt this.

He is recorded publicly as taking a COVID-era loan government loan that was forgiven. I recall him and Beard having a show about how people could apply for it.

Marxist ideology was anathema to the National Socialist German Workers Party (Nazis) Mainly because Hitler believed it was a Jewish thing considering that Karl Marx had Jewish roots. He advocated the complete destruction of Marxism in all of its forms. Communism simply doesn't work, never has, and never will. Read Animal Farm.

He is such a grifting piece of shit. His shitiness just grows and grows.

I know we’re in a bit of a content drought right now, but I saw this tweet from Randazza. I wonder if he’s ever bitched about having to drive his kids around to random police officers like his client.

Hope you all had a great Christmas. Time to catch up on the shit show while I've been gone.
I'm going to guess we're going to have a bit of a drought from nick until after the trial. Mostly him being catty on twitter and in youtube chats.
But he still did enough this year to cinch that lolcow trophy twice in a row.
Cheers!

If he doesn't want to be Christian can't he just. . . not be? People leave Christianity all the time.
Or is choosing to leave a religion you don't want to be a part one of the those normal people things, like cleaning your kitchen and not storing your cocaine where your kids can reach, that Nick is too cool for?
The trad-west/statue-twitter/krist-iz-kang grift has been dead for awhile, it can't possibly be lucrative for him anymore.
I'd wager its about appearances.
Possibly with his trust fund too.

I would argue that this is only because he isn't the government.
If he had power or authority that position would disappear faster than a bottle of booze in front of Nick.

E: fixed obvious typo

Look, he may be the dad that made insane personal sacrifices for his kid, but he'll never be the cool dad that lets his daughter do cocaine like Nick is.

Two updates from the Sean front wrt Rekieta.

1. Elissa posted a clip from Sean's Xmas Day stream.
- Sean goes over the legal process after the presumed guilty plea next month and likely sentencing in February. He qualifies everything with "probably by the end of February we'll be all done unless he gets charged with other stuff and that's a whole other saga".
- He mentions the likelihood of a PSI (Presentencing investigation). "The judge is gonna want to know who is Nick?... The court is gonna wanna know a lot of things about him." I found this funny. Can the prosecution cite the Farms?

2. Tonight he was asked about the hacking at 17:14 responding to this superchat:

"From what I've been told their stuff is still pending and it's set to happen...it'll be in the new year from probably what I guess."

I know nothing ever happens and I shouldn't get my hopes up, but if Nick gets through all the drug and child endangerment business with a neat little plea deal only to cop worse punishment through being a dumb cunt who somehow thought it was fine to use another person's Google account, let alone a party involved in his numerous legal matters(!!!), this is going to be an outstanding year ahead.
