I don't have any special further insight into the situation, except that I think Clarkson is alright and Musk and Rogan are lizard people.

Even if the car actually ran out of range you personally contact the guys running the show and settle it like a man, instead of running around suing everyone swinging your dick around and still bitching about it over a decade later.

All it takes is a rifle, preferably with a scope. The only way to protect against a shooter at long range is to secure a mile-wide perimeter around the principal like US presidents do, and that's not feasible for any private citizen. There's also the option for the person to spend the rest of their life in an armored bunker, but I don't think Musk would enjoy that. He'd have plenty of Diablo time at least.

There is a homebrew rip off top gear called 'Car Trek' on youtube and they take a Tesla put it in performance mode/turn of regenerative braking (it's no good for lap times) and it didn't even make 3 laps of the circuit (from a full charge, brought in on a trailer and in Atlanta not Alaska). They are no better to this day. They are good at acceleration and that is it, they weigh far too much to be performant in turns, outside of super cars they are all geared too short (because they aren't geared at all) to reach top end track speeds and if you try to push them beyond highway speed by revving further you run into back EMF and kill your battery before a set of soft tires (18 miles! lolol). You can't work on them without risking killing yourself or lighting your garage on fire. This electric garbage is a gear head's nightmare and I wish Jeremy had gone HARDER!

That’s utterly retarded and done for clicks. Regen braking is good for track driving as it reduces heat in the friction brakes and recharges the battery. All hybrid and electric race cars have regen braking.

They’re driving laps around an oval, which is nothing more than a glorified top speed run. They also did 12 laps, not three and the car is the short range version. Doesn’t bode well for highway driving out west though.

The car sucks for performance driving, but you don’t have to misrepresent it and fall for YouTube clickbait when the truth is still terrible.
