The barrier between graduated Nijisanji Vtubers and current ones seems to be eroding. Current Nijisanji Vtuber Kana Sukoya had Yamien who was the person behind graduated Niji member Mayuzumi Kai on their stream.
Yamien comes on at about 3:18:30

My fav 2views got moved into Hololive. I was a huge fan of Soya Poya and natsume moe. Soya just out of the blue said she was graduating. Some of us knew she had gotten in to a big corpo. She had just rigged a new model for herself. It wouldn't make sense for her to leave otherwise. It made sense as it's every 2view tuber's dream to get into Hololive. She had been doing vtubing for years and wasn't growing or making any real money.

Was a huge fan of Natsume Moe too. Was worried she'd abandon her crazy unhinged creativity to be an idol. She does a lot of cool stuff in Holo.

I always assume when an idie graduates they're getting into Holo or a corpo.

Aye Soya kept the same energy as her new life, CC. I didn't watch her back then but when I watch her from then, she definitely is the same German and went from Blue to Green.

With Natsumi Moe, I found it funny to see that she still is unhinged even in Hololive. (Last night I watched her Hitman gameplay and she unintentionally said 'Breed me' )

I watched a bit of Moe very early on since she was pretty much the only EN vtuber at the time other than that hawaiian girl using a filter which hardly counts

If you want to get technical the first thing to really utilize the technology that would later be used for VTubers was actually the Roxie Show which was one of the first original cartoon cartoons to air on Cartoon Network all the way back in 1993.

The funny thing is that he actually tried to do computer stuff and broadcast to show all over the states to do countdowns and New Year events so he's sort of like the forefather of the modern day Vtuber

The first VTuber was that guy on 4chan that tested using facerig or whatever it was and said the tracking was "okay" because it managed well enough while he masturbated.

Bro Team then did some streams as a VTuber, and (correctly) predicted that it wouldn't even take five years before this was a huge thing. He found a huge titty anime girl and screamed "OH, I'M ANIME" before prophecizing. I have no proof of this because his whole channel was nuked at some point before I archived it.
