Starlink is cool and all, but it's far too expensive for the average family or person even. As someone who's struggled with rural Internet, 1MB/s peak speeds for a long time, 5G home Internet is going to be the future for those communities I believe. $50 a month straight up no bullshit or equipment costs. Starlink needs to drastically reduce its price per month or it won't expand into these larger markets where people literally have no options for Internet. You would be surprised the areas in the US that aren't middle of nowhere, but don't have good Internet options or any at all. You may get one option, and it goes out frequently or they want to charge you to rip up ground to install wire first.
I remember they got to positive cash flow pretty quick. Adding Cell should only increase revenue with time.

The problem with SpaceX financials is it's a private company so it's all estimates. But hopefully as bandwidth supply goes up, costs will immortalize and so on to lower end user prices. There's quite a lot of of commercial market available for air and sea traffic still untapped. I hope it does well long term. The main problem I foresee is upkeep costs because the sats have a limited lifespan. It'll depend mostly on how well they can or even if they can get Starship going it seems in the next 2-3 years. It'll be interesting to see.

Of the big 3 Elon businesses, I'm not worried much about SpaceX or X even. It's Tesla that seems pretty unstable long term.

Oh I'm sure starlink is doing well. I just think/hope they can reduce the monthly price as time goes on for average joe American. $120 a month plus the start up costs? That's a lot, especially with speeds I've seen are lower or close to 5G home offerings which is $50 and no hardware fees. I love the concept, but the pricing even for me is expensive, and I'm the ideal customer. Maybe Trump will tap it as the perfect push for the rural Internet project that went nowhere and subsidize it or something. While 5G home Internet is I think a far better value, many areas also aren't serviced by it yet.

Pinning the Elon Musk thread for discussion of a car bombing was a strange mistake. It would have been like throwing discussion of Torswats into the Tomlinson thread.
Apparently a manifesto will come out.

Jack Murphy is a well known Special Operations reporter with some credibility. But I don't think it was a mistake. Jeetgate had just happened, and blowing up a CyberTruck in front of Trump tower (we now know is a suicide) is highly likely a veteran sending a message. Also this is just after Luigi, so it may be part of a pattern. It doesn't seem like just some random "fucking around" for malicious giggles like Torswats.

I hope that is not Cuck Jack Murphy

In 1995, some random grunt have managed to blow up ~200 feds. In 2025, Green Beret with 19 years of experience only offed himself with a poorly designed contraption (while driving the ugliest vehicle in the world). It's quite literally a "Virgin Cyber vs. Chad Ryder" meme.
Leftists terrorists are always lolcows

do people seriously believe this is him? holy fuck man
It's clearly him. I know you worship Elon Musk because he's as retarded and termainally online as you are, but it's clearly him. He's even slipped up a few times and said "I" instead of "he" when talking about Musk

How badly will TSLA perform today?
It might have a dead cat bounce after yesterday's massacre. Earnings is going to be ugly

As much as I don’t like them, if the angle ends up being that he was a pissed off groyper mad about the H1B thing and that’s what’s in the manifesto, then this is a psyop and it’s been conducted by the Trump/Elon/“MAGA” Team.

Did anyone hear a gunshot? Was one ever recorded? If he pulled up, set off a bomb and blew his brains out, all that should have been pretty audible and noticeable.
Silly Musk designed the car to be soundproof so when people are locked inside and getting incinerated the bystanders don’t have to hear their horrifying screams.

My money is on being about Ukraine and the possibility of Trump (or Elon whispering in his ear) cutting off aid. Besides, sadly, veteran SOF suicides are extremely common. Either by gunshot, OD, or driving high and drunk to their death. This one is just a bit more colorful. So I don't know about a "psyop".

Elon was tweeting that stark link is a better option than rural fiber.

He's well known sure but he's also a liar. One example is the hit pieces he did against Sgt Major Ritter. Here is a thread all about that incident. He never apologized, he instead sent a cease and desist to Ritter.
