Should we have a fish hook rating?

Facebook may have AI bots, and Twitter may have porn bots, but we at the Kiwifarms got sticker bots in the form of @gaynigger69 and @dumbnigger69.

A new one to the list lol:

Maybe a "you need to have been here "x" number of days" requirement for stickers or something? Though without careful watch and other posting requirements, it would just be delaying things.

Homestuck? GAY.
It's a bit more retardedly complicated than just homestuck but yeah at the end of things it's pretty much homestuck in some form. Inside joke spawned chatbot that would probably say the same thing you just said if homestuck got brought up. Been messing with the thing's settings on and off every few months the last year or so with minor tweaks like getting it to send images associated with it's post intent.

In other mildly related news screengrabbed this because it was interesting. First letter of each name in timestamps from newest to oldest spell out "Niga" in ascending timestamp order from A to N and 3 of them are blank fucking accounts. Normally i would not post reactions like... It's a fucking "niga" made of puzzle pieces and gay sex related names. This is like possibly the funniest shit to see directly before going to bed.

I keep forgetting I have this page open, noddingoff and zoning out while trying to multitask on various prjects, I'm fucking going to sleep. enjoy the MAD gay riddler sandwich, nigga stalker child.

Explains the amount of homosexual dog name activity at play. :jace:

It's a little weird to say you aren't obsessed with reactions when you've apparently put this much thought into why they're evil and nobody should have them.
The point I'm making is not to remove reactions entirely. Just to remove the notifications/page etc. Reactions, as mentioned, work as a rating to whether a post sucks or not (excluding where gayops are had). IMO, some of the same logic as the anti porn ones carry over. Don't ban reaction dopamine hits, just make them as hard as possible for people to access. If you have to resort to userscripts - so be it.

Reactions are useful to me because I do use them instead of watch thread or whatever to keep track of threads I post in. Get to thread X in two or three clicks and get to the newest post in one more click.
Also another shit/cope argument from the other thread. What happens when no one reacts to one of your posts? Do you get to jump to your post in said thread? This is only one way where it deviates to the cope itself.
You are literally describing the "Recent Activity" tab in your profile. If you want to ask for a button in the main UI that goes to that - I could jump on that.

Are you suggesting that we perhaps start a group, like er, perhaps “Retards for Reactions” or “Emoji Anonymous” to see if we can help these poor souls?
I think we can have an easier solution for them as soon as Trump bans Anime.

Stickers also help find good posts. Well written or informative posts get winner or informative ratings and that draws people to them to read them. When I see a post that has 50 winner ratings it's most likely something funny or well written so I read it. It's a positive of ratings.
I agree with this as this is what the highlight feature uses, I think. This is a good argument, however, it is not what I am arguing against. I don't want TOTAL STICKER DEATH. I am perfectly fine with PARTIAL STICKER DEATH.

Turn it into? Always was.
Nah, but I don't want it to go that way either. A good middleground is best imo.

I guess I just want to read more arguments, which aren't straight cope, of why reactions are beneficial.
Nigger what Null himself might be a massive aspie about stickers but he himself has said that he expanded the system because everybody choking up a thread posting the same variation of "yeah I agree with that post" is fucking boring. So your first benefit is that it cuts down on worthless posts like yours, the other is that when a shitty post like yours gets enough dumbrates I can highlight hop directly to it when catching up on a thread.

I hope these two are good enough reasons for your nigger taste. If not, just imagine my post reading 'I disagree' and nothing else.

I like how stickers are the forums Forever War

No one is ever happy, it rears it's head every six months for one or both sides to start shitting and pissing about it

I like them as a way to give quick feedback on a post without posting low quality replies, but I hate people who are so addicted to them they, apparently, keep a tab open to view all the reactions they are getting in real time.

I hate people who will autistically and snarkily argue that "humans are made to be social" or some shit when you point out their dependence on these stickers is odd and unhealthy even more.

I think they are broken humans and I don't like that this redditor-type of human is posting here, and seems to be in a majority? I thought KF was less retarded than that, but I guess I was wrong.

is this obsession with the word dopamine a zoomer thing? i keep seeing it pop up recently.
No. It's a "i am very smart for using this word" person thing. Generation doesn't really matter.

I know you said never to bother you about this issue again. That being said: thank you, Null. I know you put up with a lot of bullshit and we don't deserve your patience and dedication. We wouldn't have such an amazing place to sneed and sneer at troons if it weren't for you and your hard work.

As I said with the first one, they're just going to have to figure out how to use it regardless. They're going to be upset, but their position is just nonsensical.
I apologize in advance for the lengthy spergery.

I don't think it's nonsensical at all. I only use the watch thread function for my own threads because those are the threads where I actually care about any and all replies.

When an old or unfrequented thread starts lighting up with reactions to my posts there, I know there may be activity without having to manage my watched threads tab. I don't meant to go through my watched threads tab all the time to remove dead or now-irrelevant threads.

I know it sounds like a bullshit excuse, I get it, but have you ever had huge bookmark lists in your browser or something along those lines, and had to go through hundreds of bookmarks to prune the list? Anyone on an Internet forum likely has, and they know how tedious it is.
