Yeah, shit's fucked, and anyone near the fires needs to make an inventory of things and get a go-bag packed with the essentials. Food, water, medications, hygiene stuff, some basic survival gear like flashlights and batteries, small valuables, and some coffee, cigs, and booze as trade goods with the other homeless refugees.
Everyone should have a bug-out-bag and a bug-in-box. It's not paranoia, it's not gonna summon bad things into existence, it's just basic safety.

Did you know that stupid environmental activists are actually one of the leading reason the US has such a problem with invasive species? They're responsible for shit like the Green Crab epidemic, Lionfish epidemic, the ongoing problems with bamboo in New York, Eucalyptus in California, and more. It's specifically the stupid ones, the ones who have a child's understanding of the natural world, who think nature good, kill thing bad, free thing good, even if freed thing fucking ecologically devastates an entire region.

Anyone familiar with invasive species knows that any one of these is like a fucking micro-apocalypse for everything in that ecology, but some of the greatest evils in humanity's history have gone hand-in-hand with good intentions and nothing shows it quite like parts of the environmental movement. I can't for the life of me find them, but I remember one shithead journalist going on about how cool and awesome Lanternflies are, or how the Carp are our friends, and finding myself very disgusted with us a species.
"Green" shitlibs are really behind just about all of the enviroshittiness that defines modern-day US.

One of their talking points is the concept of "climate justice". The term itself isn't totally meaningless, but the libshits have added their usual nonsense to it, which makes it stale and dull. At its core, climate justice must mean that those who are responsible for problems and disasters must be made to pay for them or they must be the ones who suffer from them.

When one says that this fire is climate justice, it should be interpreted exactly that way; the immigrants who squatted in California are suffering from this fire and the wealthy people who oversaw the decline of California are losing their mansions. That's climate justice.

Keep voting Democrat is all I will say to the great people of LA. Your Mayor was on vacation while your city burned, she took 15 million dollars away from the fire department in budget spending last year. Also the person she appointed to run the fire department Another Woke democrat Lesbian fired hundreds of male firefighters to replace them with women, then she donated fire trucks, thousands of hoses and other equipment to fucking UKRAINE. Also she put the city in a drout. She wanted to save some stupid fish that's about to go extinct and stopped a deal that could of had water be brought into California another way but she felt the fishes life was more important than peoples familys and homes. You're fucking stupid to vote republican but you're really fucking dumb to ever vote for any modern day democrat.

The most important question: How are the smelt fish doing?
They're dead.

“Dam removal is expected to improve the health of the Klamath River, the route that Chinook salmon and endangered coho salmon take from the Pacific Ocean to their upstream spawning grounds, and from where the young fish return to the sea.”

It sounded good on paper – at least it did to the bureaucrats agitating for it.

But according to local officials, “it’s an environmental disaster.”

“I’ve been around natural disasters all of my life, and I’ve never seen anything like this,” Siskiyou County Supervisor Ray Haupt recently told the Globe. “The river is essentially dead, as is everything in it.”

Haupt was a District Ranger in the Klamath National Forest for 33 years, retired in 2010, and now owns a Forest and Natural Resources Consulting Business. He is a California Registered Professional Forester, a member of the California Professional Foresters Association, an Ag advisor for Etna High School and the College of the Siskiyous tech programs, and is an author of multiple Forest Management and Fire Policies for NAFSR, the National Association of Forest Services Retirees.

Haupt said the sediment plume extends 2 miles into the ocean. And he and local residents are witnessing a massive salmon extinction event.

Supervisor Haupt isn’t the only resident making these observations. OPB.org reported:

Many have seen dead fish stranded in the mud, and on Jan. 27, residents spotted a doe and yearling that had become hopelessly stuck trying to reach water. Volunteer firefighters from the Hornbrook Fire Protection District tried to rescue the mired animals but abandoned the mission as dusk fell. Soon after, an officer from California Department of Fish and Wildlife euthanized the deer.

“The mud was so thick; it was so far out there; they tried so hard,” said Chrissie Reynolds, a long-time resident of Copco Lake who drove to the scene to try to help. “But all that time, those animals were suffering.”

Supervisor Haupt also shared photos of Copco Lake, left almost dry with the dam removals.

“The speed of drawdown did not allow crews to assist with ‘sediment evacuation’ as was planned,” OPB reported. “In that scenario crews would use jets of water and shovels to slough off chunks of mud from the banks as the water level dropped.”

Haupt said what’s left of the water in Copco Lake is brown and thick with mud, and dead fish are everywhere.

Rep. Doug LaMalfa (CA-1) also expressed his disbelief in the results of the dam removal, in a January 30th Facebook post, summarizing the politics of the situation:

Environmentalists and the State of California are celebrating the world’s largest dam removal on the Upper Klamath River, while their work kills endangered species, destroys roads, threatens homes with bank collapse and is already seeing drinking water wells go dry. They purposefully made a disaster and are leaving taxpayers and the locals to clean up their mess.

Dam removal advocates refused to see the big picture, trusting a questionable Master’s thesis over the locals who knew better. Now, we see the results that are being ignored by the media and environmental groups – utter devastation of an ecosystem, and death. Dam removal advocates simply ignored the immense amount of sediment behind each dam, and how releasing it would impact water quality and river health. Now look, the water is black and thick with mud and toxic heavy metals covering every bit of gravel needed for spawning, deer are dying in the muck as is chokes out all life – and it absolutely reeks.

Shameless environmental groups cried that the removal of the dams is essential for fish health and would reverse salmon and steelhead population decline. Tell me, does this water look like a better habitat for the fish?

Newsom and the environmentalists were more interested in the trophy of the dams’ removal than the harm they caused.
Klamath Dam Removal: ‘It’s an Environmental Disaster’

In the name of environmentalism, they're destroying the environment.

On one hand these dem fucks need to face consequences for their actions and inactions and it's getting rather hot for them (pun intended). On the other I know what it is like to be stuck in a blue state, surrounded by madness and powerless to stop it, the system just waiting to stab you in the back. Someone said being red in a blue state makes you angry all the time, they are correct. It's like living in Stalinist Russia, I am in a silent war with Dems at all times, they are trying to squeeze me for everything. So yeah I hope Kamala Harris' house burns so hot you can fit what is left in a shoebox and I have no hang ups about saying it.... but we need like a go-fund me for anyone effected who is willing to say 'nigger faggot' three times in a row cause I'm sure it fucking sucks extra hard in blue hell today.
As someone who has been in red areas of very blue states for long periods of a time I know this feeling entirely

Holy shit that’s horrifying!!

As a woman, I have NO PROBLEM with only 5% of firefighters being women. That sounds about right, actually!! A small % of women are probably strong enough, not to mention that women can handle other tasks that require less strength.

I DO NOT want a 50/50 firefighting force! Wtf!!

And yes, you need to be able to carry someone out of a fire!! Isn’t that THE JOB?

Yeah I’m also MATI. Wow

It has never been more important to mock, ridicule and diminish the cultural power of Californians and yet you feel a little bad about kicking them while they are down.
Damn straight on the first part, missed the boat on the second part.

I lived in California for a few years a decade ago, and I still feel outraged at how pathetic and apathetic they are, how overly influenced by their wanting to be liked and admired, and how hurt they feel over being told that California sucks and they are fags.

Every Californian wants to laugh along with you and make you into their friend, like “oh Ho, I guess we do have our problems sometimes” and when you don’t let them get out of being accountable as a Californian, they fucking crumble

Field of glory is never a pretty sight. Besides, even tho they might not be part of the degens, they still always just turn the other cheek, and tolerate the evil, and let it thrive.
I said "blaze of glory" as a cheeky joke of the DEI inaction and Biden administration because they have ample opportunity to lessen the effects of a natural disaster BEFORE something like this would happen. I wasn't trying to preach and glorify innocents losing their possessions or lives.

Happenings, tragedies, wars, terror events... are what drive history (lord knows the politicians aren't interested in anything but lining their pockets) and they are fascinating at the very least. You can have a WWI style Christmas cease fire and still want to win the war. I don't hate Californians as much as I hate their leaders and their culture but one stands in the way of reaching the other.

This is also a double edged sword that could accelerate 'Californication' via displacement and 'bedbug theory.' They will be fleeing en' masse to your state! It has never been more important to mock, ridicule and diminish the cultural power of Californians and yet you feel a little bad about kicking them while they are down.
You're not the only one man, and it goes beyond that I share a state with them and know my tax dollars will go to them. I don't want this to happen, no doubt in moments of heat I welcome North Korea and Russia nuking everything on the coast from San Diego to San Francisco; but I honestly would hate to have my house and livelihood lost in a fire, and I don't want it on others. But the reason the state has numerous fires a year and it's always thousands of acres that burn, it's due to mismanagement and other problems that are via the rot from the top; and it doesn't help that a lot of these decisions are championed by fart-huffers who want everyone to know how superior they are to everyone else. I won't dance or cheer your misfortune, I feel for you I really do, but I'm still wanting to stab you every time you open your fucking mouth.

As an aside, dude I went to school with and his family lost everything; I'm sure there are others, but so far just one that's confirmed.

On one hand I guess like 2 people so far have died
That's reported deaths of identified remains. There's likely thousands of people dead.
How ancient, crippled, stubborn, stupid and/or dependent do you have to be to die in a slow creeping brush fire?
Utterly retarded thing to say. These fires can move incredibly fast with the wind, especially when the wind is gusting up to 80-100mph or higher. There was also a complete standstill of traffic and got so bad that entire roads were full of abandoned cars because people literally ran away by foot from the fucking fire.
