Live updates: Brush fire burns in Pacific Palisades as Santa Ana winds blast Southern California - Live video at link

Well, guess the poster isn't going too get their death fantasy numbers. As a real world wildland firefighter, we try to get people to safety, away from the fire. Regardless of their status or that some retard wants them to die. The homeless can die somewhere else but not if the fire crews can help first. Saving lives matters more than some retard's internet laughs.
That's the right thing to do sure. I don't know if they had the manpower, though, as evidenced by the fact the Eaton and Palisades fires are still largely uncontained. I think a lot of elderly people probably died too.

My personal guess is that it won't be the Sodom/Pompeii some people here clearly wanted, but I think the death toll will rise to some hundreds of people, which is a shame.

What are the chances that some kike paid an illegal to light a few properties on fire?
Last time that happened it was antifa doing the work and only in red counties when Trump was last in charge.
(Been reading since page 50 and this is the first time I hade something to contribute)

They could and did and that's why insurance companies were fleeing the state en masse well before this happened and premiums nearly tripled in a lot of places where you could still get coverage. A lot of this loss is going to be completely uninsured.
The CA insurance fuckery problem is quite different from the Florida one, but they can both be traced back to stupid government actions. Florida fucked over insurance companies by basically saying they have to buy new roofs for people every fucking time it rains, and CA fucked them over by saying they couldn't price or refuse coverage for high-risk areas. In both cases, most of the companies said "whelp" and folded up.
It's Twitter so massive grain of salt but Califags are already reporting that companies are already cold calling them and offering 200k for the plots where their 3 million dollar houses used to be.

The globohomo/blackrock harvest has begun.
I get random calls and texts every so often from random numbers asking if I want to sell my parents house listed at their current address. They still live there, I haven't lived with them in over a decade.
Anyone with a CA address gets these letters/calls/texts, especially if the "property tax address of record" is not the same as the property. It stems from shitty real estate courses where they promise you can buy real estate for 20% below market value by offering to buy from absent owners. The scam is that it rarely works, and when it does you're taking advantage of some old widow who remembers buying the house for $50k so a $400k offer sounds large (on a property that would sell at $800k in a day).

The fire is just another opportunity for them to scam again.

For just twenty dollars and a tiny bit of fent, you could bribe like five junkies into starting a fire right in the heart of LA.
A fire in the heart of LA is not the best way to burn the area as it centralizes an emergency response.

If you could start five sperate fires they would be:
  • Pacific Palisades
  • Rancho Palo Verdes
  • Irvine / Laguna Hills
  • Eaton Fire area
  • San Bernardino National Forest area
The goal is the spread and strain firefighting resources across the entirety of the Metro area.

Amazing :story:

Yeah but what if the firefighters are too weak to lift them?
Then it's their fault for getting themselves in that situation.

Not if they're allowed to hire illegals to do the rebuild. That money will leave the country just as fast as the money buying all the Chinese drywall, fasteners, appliances and everything else that needs to be purchased now.
Also somethings (I.e. the historic mansions in Altadena, the Bunny Museum) + the existing buildings not up to modern code can simply never be replaced as-is. The character and culture of these neighbourhoods is inevitably going to be lost, especially with urbanists chomping at their bit on upzoning to multi units as well.

The fire will benefit the US in the long term since construction stimulates the economy.
This is the Broken Window Fallacy. If that were true, you could stimulate the economy at any time by breaking things in order to replace them.

However, you might technically be right since California isn't a part of Real America.

Fire departments, structural and wildland fire, to state forestry agency's are woefully underfunded and undermaned. Underfunded by the same politicians and the wealthy that are crying because their houses are burning down now.
No one wants too spend money on public safety until it's too late.
