Another question I have on the topic of neovaginas, wouldn’t some basic movements and exercises cause them pain in their crotch? If the musculature of the scrotum area is dug into to make a tunnel, that area would flex and move as you move naturally.

Does this thing ever really heal? I guess if you suffer an accident where a chunk of your skin and muscle is removed that area does heal over and leaves a dent, but this would this be different I assume if they use bits of colon. God I bet their cells are confused as fuck trying to heal this nightmare.

Real vaginas have built in supporting muscles to keep the internal organs from being exposed in the event of injury. Isn’t this essentially just a hole into your crotch, making your internal organs there vulnerable? Like digging a hole out in your side through your abdomen. Which, I suppose people do for legitimate medical procedures, but to do this just for sexual satisfaction is wild.

Post surgical recovery for SRS is usually very long, and very painful. After awhile, an internal layer of fibrotic (scar) tissue usually forms surrounding the interior of the neovagina, and the process of dilating tries to compensate for this by trying to keep the scar tissue flexible by trying to stretch it.

With any deep tissue injuries/surgery, there is always the risk of permanent nerve damage. This can range from deadened sensation to complete numbness, and this would be a lucky outcome. In some cases, nerve damage from SRS results in permanent nerve pain from the misfiring of the severed nerve endings. The best case scenario for a post-SRS troon is that the nerves reorient themselves around the inner ring of fibrotic tissue that surrounds the neovagina, but peripheral nerve injuries are a bit of a wildcard in terms of what things will happen with them, long-term.

In troons, there is also the risk that tearing of the inner wall of the neovagina will result in something like a rectal-neovaginal fistula, in which the contents of the colon/gas start leaking into the neovagina because of its close proximity to the rectum. This is exactly what happened to a troon that we have a thread on called Kevin Gibes. It is messy, unpleasant, and dangerous as it can also lead to a whopping infection. The same thing can happen to actual women, but it is usually the result of post-pregnancy complications because of damage to the vaginal tissue that can happen during birth. It almost never happens spontaneously in women unless there is an actual defect in the vaginal epithelium.

As an addendum, troons that have colon-graft vaginoplasties also run the risk of developing abdominal hernias from inadvertent damage to the abdominal wall during surgery as well as abdominal perforations/permanent damage to the colon. Quite a few troons have ended up needing colostomy bags the rest of their lives from colon-graft vaginoplasties because of what happened to the donor-site of the colon in the aftermath.

But most of these people, even when they had less than perfect lives, are just weak and stupid. You have to overcome your problems, and not act like a retard just because mom was mean and dad was drunk.

I only hold people with the most extreme traumas in this regard. Ok, you were gangraped growing up everyday in a Romanian orphanage during the war, and now you wanna cut off your dick. That’s a reason, even an excuse. Doesn’t apply to first world suburban teens who’s bullied at school with divorced/alcoholic/mean parents. If me2 movement ever taught us anything is that people are extremely resilient creatures and most people persevered despite their sexual abuse. Say trooning is an illness implies it’s not their fault, when 98% of the time it is. It’s not their fault they got abused, or sexually harassed, or even raped, but it is their issue that they just gave up. They are just mentally unadapted and crumbled under rather commonly occurring adversities.

It’s like addiction or bpd. Technically they are “disorders” in the diagnostic and statistics manual and people with a really good life usually don’t get them. But getting better literally just involves effort, strength, and persistence, maybe medical detox so you don’t have a seizure and die. If one don’t recover, it is their fault that they didn’t put in the work.

My grandma survived Soviet famine, collective farm, and knew people who went to the Gulag. The vast majority of them lived a normal life, kept jobs, had families. Except for one or two that went psychotic, and a couple who drinks and beat their wives, everyone else integrated and went on about their life. I think I remember Kevin Gibes talking about it, and he also posted this, so I am not sure if it was actually a fistula, or if he was mistaken. Regardless, it is not an uncommon complication of vaginoplasty.

I'm no medic but where would they even start? Gynaes specialise in disorders of the female reproductive system, none of which a man (no, not even a man with a scooped-out and stitched-up crotch) would or could experience.

Depends on what kind of "requir[ing]" you're talking about.

If they work for the wrong organization, quite possibly. But that's more of a bureaucratic thing than something about their medical training.

As @Precocious Halfwit mentioned, they have no skills particularly specialized for rotpockets beyond what a normal GP would have.

It's not; they're completely different branches. Urology is the surgical specialty that deals with everything from the kidneys to the urethra. They're trained to work on both male and female tissues. Note that I said surgical specialty. If someone has kidney problem that doesn't require surgical intervention, they go to see an internal medicine specialist/nephrologist. Urologists often have cancer patients of either sex, but their job is not treating the cancer itself, but it can be to surgically remove tumors from anywhere in the urethral system.

Gynecologists are trained to work on the tissues and diseases of the female reproductive system. They can specialize on either medical or surgical intervention, but they're never trained to work on diseases of the male reproductive system. For that, you would need a specialist in andrology. Oncologists might, as well, since prostate cancer is such a common illness. Many urologists also have some training in andrology, but it's not mandatory.
