Some of the games that were made to be tie ins to the live action movies were generally received well too. Though from what I remember most of those weren't like 1 to 1 of the movies and had characters that weren't even in the movies at the time like shockwave which gives a good timeframe of how long ago those were lmao.

Transformers One bombed because of when it was released and due to how little they advertised it after they showed the worst parts of the movie. Marvel and Star Wars IPs make them a ton of money. They're also working on a new Power Ranger movie. Maybe look things up next time.

Looking up the cancellation of reactivate, apperently it wsn't hasbro that forced the company making it to shut itdown but the company itself doing it for weird fucking bullshit reasons. I mean the statement linked kind of implies that if you read through it but apperently people that worked on the game and are now jobless are like very angry on social media about this shit.

One was an actual good movie that bombed because it was mismanaged (marketing/release date), a failure on both Hasbro and Paramount's part.
Star Wars and Marvel toy revenue have both plummeted. Hasbro even admitted SW has been doing poorly in their last report.
They licensed out Power Rangers to Playmates after fumbling the brand.
They need someone who isn't totally out of touch to oversee things cuz their current management certainly isn't doing it.

Yes, but if they stopped overproducing the unpopular new stuff and focused on the classic stuff that gets scalped anyway, things would be fine. Their distribution is a nightmare anyway, at least for Transformers, because at any given moment nowadays the shelves only have a few expensive toys, a bunch of cheap gimmicky toys, and a few Generations shelfwarmers (usually beastformers, common characters, and redecos) -- around 2015-2019, it was only ever like that when lines were being retired and we were waiting for the new ones to come. I have never once seen ROTB Battletrap, DX Sentinel Prime, ROTB Studio Series Wheeljack, Legacy Beachcomber, RID2015 Strongarm, and many others at retail (though retail has lots of gems online doesn't have either like Iguanus, Tow-Line, Galaxy Shuttle, and Toxitron).
