I keep thinking about that one video, I think it was a TikTok, about a mother who talked about how she taught her child to spot people wearing pride/pronoun pins because they're the safest people to talk to, especially because in this instance the child was in a particular distressing situation where the pin wearer helped them.

I really want to do that, to differentiate myself as someone safe to talk to, as someone more normal compared to the frankly horrendously Trump worshipping Florida. But is Florida too right wing to be wearing pins or shirts like that? Would it be too dangerous, or does it depend on the city or county? To be more specific, I'm in Pinellas County, but I hope to move to Orlando for college this year.

That's a great question.

It's not socially conditioned, as the "internalized homophobia" buzzword-splutterers unreflectively bark.

Men see sex-with-men as a consolation prize for women, who can't hunt. When you submit to a man sexually, you're saying "you have something I lack"; when you (a man) dominate a man sexually, you're saying "I have something to prove"; when it's a tie, you're saying "I don't know what I am anymore, and for the moment I don't care—but something is gone".

This messes with your head. You go: "I can hunt. I can hunt. I can kill a gazelle with my bare hands right now—I'll kill a dog; I'll kill anything; I've got the sauce. I've still got the sauce."

And some of them give up and decide that they can't hunt. And others write "Baki the Grappler".

It's not like it is in the sanitized gay cartoon porn that 11 year olds watch on their parents computers (permanently stunting their development), involving their favorite Pokémon. It messes with your head.

My armchair theory on masculine gays and fey homosexuals is that their evolutionary "purpose" is to ease tensions on the social dynamics of a group or tribe by reducing the amount of men competing for a woman.

The Masculine contribute to hunting and other male based activities while the weaker stay at home spending time with the women weaving baskets and watching the kids. I remember there is a breed of Bird where some of the males feather patterns mimic a females so they can sneak in while the Alpha isn't looking and impregnate a female and I think to some extent the same thing has happened with humans.

Do you have an opinion on the psychology of it, rather than a hypothetical origin? That's what @Syikeblade was asking, if I'm unmistaken.

Edit: cool article, though. I originally said "mythologized" rather than "hypothetical", because evopsych is modern mythology, but the tone was wrong. Looking to nature for answers can be valuable and the article was interesting.

I won't pipe up in here again without a thread tax, unless someone asks for clarification on something.

This reminds me: back in 2021 there was a barrage of headlines about two women making the selection for SAS entry process, which had opened up to women a few years earlier. Notice the women just made it to the selection process, not the SAS itself. This was pushed as such a big deal that somehow I remember reading about it even though I'm not in the UK.

Well, that was 2021, and nothing since. Obviously the women quickly dropped out and no women since have qualified (or if they have, they also quickly washed out). Did that get any headlines? Reality is clearly too awkward for our betters in the media to acknowledge.

(I'm sure if you brought this up to a gender believer they'd tell you that women can't get through SAS selection because they just don't believe in themselves enough, due to patriarchy or ambient sexism particles)
