Live updates: Brush fire burns in Pacific Palisades as Santa Ana winds blast Southern California - Live video at link

I'm not helping the State of California. They're incompetent. They've made no changes the past 8 years to fix any of the problems that directly caused this fire. You can find more information out on that at NewscumsTinderbox.com. I'm helping the PEOPLE of California, and God willing, they'll do the right thing in 2026 and start throwing these incompetent people out."
"I can't conscionably give federal funds to a state that disregards federal law"

What a moron

There is next to no recent visual on the multiple active fires to the point where I can't help but think about it even while they're burning. Best-case scenario the politicians are being complete fucking scumbags and exaggerating how bad the fires are for whatever reason (maybe we can't see anything because they've already been extinguished), worst-case you're right and this is city-destroying levels of damage that haven't even reached their apex yet.
L8, haven't been checking the thread as much but came back to say I'm lucky to even see a few wisps of smoke. Cameras that previously had active fires like Topanga, Star Mtn, and Mt Wilson show nothing now. Not even burned landscape - at least not for more than a second on rewatch. Topanga 2 which I had a clip of burning flashed the original position I saw the fire in for a mere second before switching back to whatever untouched structure it's currently facing. Sar do not redeem pole.

No other cameras are showing burnt landscape either, even the cameras in the Palisades or Eaton zones. At least that I can tell since the cameras appear to only be switching position at night when I can't see shit.

So between Eucalyptus, Tumbleweeds and Kudzu which one has caused the most damage to the US?
probably the one that fucking explodes

Thank you for confirming that I’m not just schizo or bad at finding camera angles. I’m looking again right now and seriously turning up nothing.

What is the purpose of hiding how bad the fires are? It's pretty obvious to the people of California who are directly affected, and it's already enough to kill the reelection chances of everyone who are supposed to take responsibility due to their position.

1) You’re being optimistic on that re-election comment, and 2) the point isn’t the people who are affected. It never is. It’s to make this shit seem like way less of an issue to everyone else so that Trump’s administration doesn’t guillotine them, your average layman might still consider voting for Newsom’s presidential campaign in 2028, and California looks less like a national embarrassment.

What about local news? They should still be covering this, right? Any resident Californians can confirm?

All the talk about gravedancing and consequences for the sins of Los Angeles and I'm just here wondering if any politicians will face true consequences from this at all or will be able to get away with this disaster by blaming everything on climate change.

The more I read about them the more the trees seem like the flora equivalent of cockroaches for better and for worse. Very resilient yet quite annoying ecologically.
I redpilled a family member about the 'splody trees, I was rewarded with a dumbfounded look, right until I mentioned they were from Australia.
"Oh, that makes sense, everything there will kill you."

I'm currently attempting to convince people Australia was actually transmigrated from an alternate, more dangerous, universe.

The Watch Duty has links to press conferences consistently throughout the day, each day. The app itself hasn’t had the acreage updated for three to four days. For the actual fire line, the Citizen app located in Los Angeles shows it better than Watch Duty app, which only shows evacuation zones.

Today is the first day of actual quality air in the heart of LA, so the main focus is now the smaller arson reported constantly. And soon I can finally fucking leave.

make all the jokes about trannys and immigrants if you want, if California was its own nation it would be the 5th largest GDP IN THE WORLD

But seriously newsom sucks and his whole admin is misguided

No way it was planned, especially since as previously mentioned by another poster, Newsom was gearing up to make California the state leading the charge in fucking up Trump's shit in his second term.
They
Thats a very good point.

Newsom branding himself as the resistance leader isnt going to work, the donor class are kissing trumps ring.

I honestly think that the intellegence services have there hands in the MSM, and they cant run the same playbook because it doesnt work.

Fuck if I was newsom I would be in front of the camera's denouncing "The politicization of this disaster" responding to the claims about the smelt, fuck gavin should go Adams Corollas podcast and do an hour like trump or Vance would do.

The real trick is to down play the DEI bullshit, as community engagement

Explain that large orginzations will have equipment thats out of commission for repair, maintence or decomissioned

Explain the failures in infrastructure and response, get some one to offer their scalp and resign.

The reclamation of the Klamath river, is fucking land stewardship.

And so on.

He could also use this as justification to pivot on trump policies, get the national guard on the streets, invite trumo to stand with him.

instead newsom wont be able to make it.
