Ralph likely just took the sympathy donos and is going to an ayahuasca retreat instead.

Who needs rehab when Trickster Coyote can send you visions of the powerful Thunderbird and the mysterious White Buffalo Woman to cleanse your soul.
(Wouldn't be anymore retarded than claiming you can safely clear a high volume 20 year benzo addiction in 15-30 days. Don't even think the coward clearly stated exactly WHAT he was going in for anyways, this is a guy that calls himself sober when he's only abusing three substances at once. Nick Rekieta bullshit incoming.)

I have decided to be the one and only True And Honest positive polly on this website. Ralph can do it. He can complete rehab and spend the rest of his life leaving a good legacy for his kids. He will come to terms with death being on his heels and he will either get life insurance or he will get enough of a last wind enough to secure some sort of inheritance for his kids.

It's easy to make the safe bet and say there's no hope, that it will fail and fall into ashes, but I believe death ennobles and dignifies men in a way little else does. A man can live a bastard but be a man in his last hours and save himself in some small way even in the reapers clutches.

I believe Ralph can choose to make the last act of the show he calls his life the best one. I think he can genuinely come to terms with the fact he has two children, two people which carry in themselves him and his parents and his grandparents and he can do the right thing by them if only he chooses to and that they are the only real thing of worth left in his life.

My act of hope is the bravest route I can take in regards to Ralph because it stares in the face of all terrible probability and danger of disappointment.

Ralph's substance abuse isn't the only thing holding him back from a normal life, it's also his ego. Even if by some absolute miracle he manages to shake off the habit slightly, there's still a lot of work to do in regards to his anger issues. The guy doesn't even take care of his home and barely cleans after himself and/or the messes he makes. And he's as sensitive as a high school girl. I could see him maybe get a job in Mexico, but that's about it. And I don't think he has the discipline to go through getting clean or therapy anyhow.

Benzo addiction is a real bitch. He is going to need some real therapy combined with treatment. 30 days alone isn't going to do it unless he seriously dedicates himself to doing aa/na, working steps with a sponsor and talking to a therapist.
The thing about benzos that makes them so great and so terrible is that you just don't care about what is going on and can avoid feelings about everything that is going on in your life and ignore dealing with issues.
Once you detox and start rebuilding your life all those feelings and issues are still there and you will feel very overwhelmed and your brain will tell you "hey some Xanax would sure let this feeling go away"
I wish him the best of luck. I hope he is honest in there.

I think Null is right. This is the Ralphamale Death Arc.
What is the point and value of going to a rehab in a country that you don't even speak the language?
The real question is how is he not fluent yet?
Pigger has been down there for years. It takes children less time to learn how to speak from birth.

I think you’re confused. We’re talking about Ethan Ralph here. It’s not an easy bet. It’s a sure fire bet.

In spite of all the evil things he has done and all the people he has fucked over along the way, I do hope that Ralph can somehow recover (and maybe even regain some semblance of showmanship so he doesn't have to get fucked up to have any entertainment value). It would be a story of hope, in the end. If Ralph can turn his life around, literally anyone can.
I don't believe it will happen, however, since he has no apparent reason to stick to sobriety. His deplorable treatment of the people around him, which is what keeps him isolated, also seems more pathological than a result of circumstance.

It would be one of the most epic redemption arcs ever. I think Nora is a doctor now isn't she? He really fucked up when he lost her. I mean he was fucking up before but that really fucked his shit up.

Watching Ralphs video address, I have to say despite everything. I think if he can take getting more on track seriously, then he can have a chance in maybe having a good redemption arc. I think there are parts of him that he knows he is fucked and needs to get better. He is at the point where embracing the meme is going to be his downfall. Complete scorched Earth he went and I think that his best bet was turning on Diddler Dax. With his cross mixing and xanny addiction, going to be at least 6 months until he can see some level of light at the end of the tunnel. If he can get the help he needs and stick to it, then I think that maybe he can at least rebuild some semblance of a presence for himself. The fact he has that level of self awareness about the current situation in his life is telling in itself. If he can stay committed to it is going to be a different situation all together. I personally think that maybe he finally hit rock bottom. Not many more trap doors he can go down until he just under the Earth at this point. I wish him the best of luck and hopefully he is serious about making the necessary change that needs to be made. If he doesn't do it, then essentially the show is pretty much over at this stage.
