I went to my doctors office today, which fortunately has been a very gender affirming place interacting with the medical and administrative staff.

On my way out, walking past people seated in chairs in the waiting room, an older man (70+ I'd guess) in poor health (oxygen tank), looked up at me and said "Hello young lady!"

In general, I've been gendered correctly in public settings and misgendered, so any time I'm gendered correctly it makes my day. I stopped and said back to him "Hello! How are you today?", to be friendly.

He said "you are a young lady" in a pretty monotone voice, so it wasn't really clear if it was a question or a statement. I wasn't sure if he was being a bit creepy, like "you are a YOUNG lady" or if he was second guessing his gender conclusion about me like "you are a young lady?" or something else entirely that's beyond my experience.

My response was "Yes. Have a nice day", keeping a friendly or at least neutral tone and resumed walking toward the door.

Part of the reason why I hate the Beauty Parlour is because there’s this tendency to act like Britney Venti or Anisa Jomha are the ugliest people alive. 1. A lot of them are genuinely hideous,
2. The ones who look presentable (Robbie White, Finnster) are still obviously men, with man faces, man asses, and man voices. Being average or decently attractive as a man does not mean you “pass” as a woman. The ugliest woman alive is still more obviously female than Robbie.
3. The problem with trannies is not that they’re ugly or cringe or whatever else. It’s that they’re evil. The fact they’re the Sideshow Bob kind of evil where they step on rakes is funny, but doesn’t change the fact that they’re evil.

this is true for the entire site. whenever KF doesnt like a woman the tendency is to treat her as the ugliest disgusting woman ever. a good example outside the parlor is april imholte. she isnt a beauty pageant winner, but she certainly isnt anywhere near as ugly as the people in the rekieta thread make her out to be. (although with anisa she did go through an ugly phase where she was actually pretty hideous. so there is some justification there.) this is just one of the quirks of this gossip site.
