AOC is most likely gearing up for a run in 2028
she'd only have about a decade in congress to her name. she lost her position as vice ranking on the oversite committee and while she has name recognition she doesn't seem like she can debate worth a fuck. i'd say she'd be better off waiting for 2032 because she'd be redistrict'd out of her current seat by then anyways and she might have a shot beating a weathered JD, or at least making it through the primaries. it doesn't matter how bad california has become they always send someone into the primaries. They fucking sent Jerry Brown in 92. They're going to at least let Gavin stay in until super tuesday regardless of what he did.

honestly i'd chose 2036 if i was a democrat. start blue dogging now and basically adopt Trump's 2016 platform and by 2036 we all know Trump will be too old to fundraise and perform all over the country like he has been doing while JD will have fucked off, then you'll only be against the flunkies.

They have no one to run, anymore. It's her chance as much as anyone else's at this point. Fuck, the best they could do was a dementia patient and a drunk, why not AOC next time? She could have another member of The Squad on her ticket and they could just block ambulances on the highway while doing sick tiktok dances to min/max the voter base.

You do understand that keeping Trump is nothing but stalling for the inevitable downfall?
What do you think will happen when Trump's gone?
That's right. Back to good ol' status quo.

I'm always astonished to see how people naively celebrate something they have no control over. History has been set in motion for decades and the West has crossed its tipping point a while ago, demographically, ideologically, spiritually. Only thing that's keeping this sinking ship afloat is its economy that's been seriously undermined with the successive crisis and poor political decisions.

Enjoy the comfort of your delusion, it's only a matter of time for reality to catch up on you.

Having nobody to run is a good thing, they need fresh blood. Since 2000 the Dems have an established elite that just pass the batton to eachother every 4 years — Gore, Kerry, Hillary Clinton, Biden. The only exception was Obama in 08, and even he was only allowed win the nomination because he's black and capitulated on every promise he made and fell in line without question.

AOC is not a serious option and would get obliterated by literally any Republican.

Trump’s decision not to pardon Jan. 6th protesters specifically was likely influenced by multiple factors, including political considerations and ongoing legal consequences for himself. While Trump did express sympathy for some of the Jan. 6ers - calling them "great patriots" - he did not take action to pardon them before leaving office.
Allegedly the cocaine turtle told him that if he released the 1/6 hostages then GOPe would join the Democrats to impeach him, which is why he didn't do it. He was blackmailed.

Then the left kept going after him even after he left office, up to and including trying to kill him (repeatedly), and he rode a big ol' fuck you red MAGA wave despite the GOPe trying to sabotage shit in 2022 and 2024, resulting in the turtle losing a lot of capital and a lot of GOPe being flushed out for MAGA. Trump now has more than just capital, Trump has a mandate -- and the pendulum has swung back.

While it is still relevant with all the pardons going on, I'd like to take a moment to remember Matthew Perna, a Trump supporter charged for a January 6th related crime and committed suicide while waiting for sentencing.
Like I said. There were thousands of these Jan 6 Political Hostages. From sheer weight of numbers, you're going to have some who lost family members while in jail, whose wives left them, who lost houses, who missed their kids graduating or getting married. They all lost their careers. Some of those subset of people whose lives were ruined by this miscarriage of justice are going to want revenge, and they now have literally nothing left to lose.

And Biden, who threw them in jail and left them to rot in 23/7 solitary confinement in 6'x8' cells for 4 years, made damned sure to pardon the people involved with putting them in there and keeping up the farce on the way out, so they'll never face justice.

Well, not in a courtroom, anyway.

And this is before you consider discussion coming out today that apparently the Biden admin's prison guards et all were literally torturing them.

Keep seeing unsettling videos of the DC police saying that no more J6 prisoners are being released tonight.

Why?

I truly pray it isn't because a lot of these prisoners have been abused so much to the point where it's trying to be hidden ... But my gut is telling me that is exactly the reason why.
Because it's 3am and there's procedures and stuff. You have paperwork that had to be filled out as well as belongings that are probably in̈ police possession they'll get back (clothes they were wearing, wallet). It's also not a cartoon so you don't just boot them out asap. Normally they get released around noontime to someone that meets them
