I'd say it's inferior to the free version. You no longer need to mess with actual files on your actual computer, now it's all done in-game.
The issue with DDLC+ is they basically were ashamed it was a horror game. All the new content tried to get as far away from horror as it possibly could, which is a shame when they could have easily subverted the “virtual desktop” constraint by making it act way more like a virus than could ever be allowed before, yet besides a single Easter egg where you can get a new song to play backwards, they did NOTHING which took advantage of the new environment for horror stuff in any way. And then they tried at launch to sell this bullshit for $15.I didn't even know they'd done that, that's a massive pain in the ass. But that said, Unity does still give you full access to the .NET API. For example, Inscryption is made in Unity and fucks with the filesystem a little bit toward the end.
Back on topic, Vedal987 is confirmed to be getting a global Twitch emote for breaking the Hype Train record, which Mald held. There is a non-zero chance it replaces the global Mald emote.
The global emote getting replaced would be a significant ego blow, though he’ll try to take the record back on April 1st, as mentioned earlier.
