As a br*t reading this thread is filling me with some serious joy and i hope some of this effective leadership and rapid change is possible here one day. Godspeed yanks
you guys are permafucked because your culture is allergic to independence from the government. you guys will continue to get hoighty toighty globalists until you get rid of the monarchy; its the first step away from big brother.

"“There was a desert wind blowing that night. It was one of those hot dry Santa Anas that come down through the mountain passes and curl your toupee and make your tweets quick and your fake tan itch. On nights like that every illegal immigrant sting ends in a fight. Meek little ICE agents feel the edge of the carving knife and study the coyote's necks. Anything can happen. You can even get a free trip on the Columbian president's plane."

If you went back just two weeks, and did the exact same thing, it'd take the US a week or two to even vaguely decide on a response to it, and it would almost certainly be a compromise. Trump has been vastly different, not so much in his aggressiveness, but in the speed of it. Within hours of someone trying to stop his plan, he immediately opened the floodgates.

He's not playing games anymore, he's not playing judiciously with his soft or hard power, he's doing what he wants, and if they try to stop him, he'll immediately use anything at his disposal to make it the worst possible decision for them imaginable. And its working, I guarantee the rest of LATAM knows to not tell the repatriation flights to fuck off. AND he's fucking doing this while bullying the danes outta Greenland.

I wonder if this reminds Trump of his early business startup days. Might be where all the energy is coming from.
Some of our former Presidents would be proud

Vance has already aged from campaigning. By his second term as President he'll probably be silver-haired or bald.

I can't find it easily, but they do these fuck fuck games with the lighting, they did in the past to vance, a few months ago. They light it in a way that makes him look like he's in the shadows, but the interviewer looked liek she was lit much more evenly.

Exactly what hostile media does with filters to make Trump's skin tone look artificially orange

NO they are not. I lived in SoCal for a few years and that shit was tyranny. Maybe I'm a stupid american but the only things that were good was 1 place where I lived overall, anything with el pastor tacos w/ cilantro and there was one place that had seasoned chips for their chips and salsa which was wonderful. Besides that, hellscape.
I liked King Taco, don’t know if the quality has gone downhill (thankfully got out of Cali long ago) but they seem to still be popular.

But I it’s ridiculous to act like Mexican food is some delicacy, it’s popular junk food for a reason they’re pretty cheap. It’s meat on a spit, onions, small tortillas, and limes.

Now to make Asian food can generally take some degree of knowledge and skills. I would never try to make Vietnamese or Thai food. No one pretends that food is going away because I’m pretty confident in saying America’s Asian community got here legally.

Feeling like I’m getting derailed so I’ll just say this, the Laken Riley act is entirely sensible and if the GOP is smart & decent it needs to be defended to death. Anyone is here illegally well you better be good behavior.

And most Asian foods would be damn near inedible to Americans. I don't see Americans lining up for things like stinky tofu or balut. That also goes the other way around. I have seen some "American" food abroad that is just straight up heresy.
i phocking love pho but you couldn't show me a pho place that doesnt use prepacked noodles. as for broth they sell it the can, add your own meat n veg and viola you got pho. they even have instant pho cups now. its not as good as the best pho place but its miles better than the rest of the shitty resturants.

the food can be industrialized and taste better without foodbourne illnesses.
