So how is Trump going to "rebuild" the military with Hegseth in? I doubt they're going to start drafting people.
Strip the companies in charge of on and off post housing and put it back in control of the military.
Put the dining facility back in control of the military and not some fucking corporation who decides they don't want to feed the military on weekends.
Get rid of the constant SHARP briefing spirals.
Train the military instead of give them DEI lectures.
Get rid of the corporations and go back to having the military do their own maintenance.
WIpe out the officer caste from O5 and above.
Get rid of the Senior NCO Corps from E6 and above.
Redo the medical system.

It's all stuff that Trump tried to do or started to do and Biden reversed because his Sec-Def was a fucking DEI dipshit.

Third: how soon is it done? This is a very, very rare instance where the longer something has been going the better as you want plenty of time to let people feel the ease on their wallet... as well as give States a chance to drop their own income taxes....
Fourth: Whether states drop their own. If the push is made and succeeds, people will really feel the lack of those taxes on them on a -monthly- basis.
I call you optimistic. I firmly believe they will jack property taxes, sales taxes to kingdom come to compensate.

As a question from the uniformed who has only just now heard about it, is it actually two orders of magnitude more efficient, or are we just going off of China's word that it's that much better?
It's easy when you don't have to shoehorn in tomes of doublethink.
But who would drink an entire 2-liter bottle of soda at one go?
Plenty of lardasses would.
I wouldn't be surprised if California would upcharge their citizens for the emergency water supply.
I can see Trump cracking down if that happens.

How are they burning through so much cash holy shit??? Aren’t they just running a text database & crappy photoshop generator?
Partially because they are using tons of storage, processing power and bandwidth to churn out shit to try and brute force results
Partially because it's all scammers and bullshitters filling their pockets as fast as possible before it all falls apart
and Partially because practically every aspect of it is stolen and they've been fighting legal challenges on multiple fronts, even trying to defend their clients from being sued by the people whose work OpenAI has stolen and paying off sites they scrape data from

Being optimistic would require making a prediction. I made none, merely outlined what would effect the view of Trump abolishing income tax.

I am... leery of it personally. It sounds nice on paper but unlike the immigration stuff there is no "This is coming from experience from term one" here, this is instead a novel policy that is wholly unvetted. So I am reserving all judgement until "on paper" meets reality.

NOt much to jack in some states.

Sales tax of 10% or more and nothing being fixed on the roads or the bridges. The local spics got nice new trucks though. Same with the pajeets and the camel jockeys outside the welfare office.

Property taxes have hit the point where it's forcing people out of their homes.

Optimistically, I would hope it would turn into another "ludicrous demand" that gets watered down to something like lowering income tax rather than doing away with it. It would be a smarter move because you wouldn't have to restructure as severely.

Update your ad block extension's filters. uBO fucks up every so often if I keep a browser window continuously open for a few hours, maybe a day or two on end. I presume the same is true for extensions like ABP as well.

Academia in the USA is fundamentally rotten to its core for the last 30+ years; Silicon Valley is 2 or 3 recessions behind the curve, but academia needs to burn to the ground so that the rot is cleared and new growth can sprout from its ashes.
I can't begin to tell you how nice adding Adguard DNS to your router is. It blocks so much stuff and in tangent with Ublock Origin makes the web halfway useable and the Smart TV not a piece of shit. Theres discounts out there and I think I pay something like $2.30 a month. https://adguard-dns.io/en/welcome.html

No one wants a draft. A draft is a terrible idea as the bulk of your lower enlisted being a bunch of bums that don't want to be there isn't going to improve the military. If manpower is the issue you can do the following:

Improve pay while waving high year of tenure restrictions for 20 years and invite GWOT era vets to re-enter service while purging the Biden era Enlisted/Officer corps. Let the vets from Afghanistan and Iraq forge the next generation.

Purge the Flag Officer corps. Right now the current Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is an Air Force General that somehow avoided the Iraq and Afghanistan campaigns during his career. How do you make it to General while avoiding the two longest campaigns in the Nation's history? (Oh right, he's black).

Restructure the Navy, I have no experience in the US Navy but everything I heard about it, from procurement, to the Chief's Mess, to enforcement of the UCMJ seems like dysfunctional "we've always done it this way" garbage you would read about in the Soviet Navy.

Restructure the UCMJ so Officers receive harsher punishment for convictions than Enlisted, especially Flag Officers. It's ridiculous seeing an Officer get convicted for a crime like rape or murder then receive a lighter sentence simply for having a Commission.

Dedicate a Public Affairs office that explains the reasoning and logic for new weapons, uniforms and technologies. If a new plane or weapon is easy to sell to the public then we can easily support funding to congress.

Buying school lunch was actually optional at my school. Most days I had my own lunch from home. When you entered the cafe you could go strait to the tables with your own lunch, or go through the kitchen and buy the school lunch and then go to the register and pay $1.35 for it.
IIRC the only options for dink where milk or chocolate milk. I don't think there was such a thing as lactose intolerance in the '90s.

Closest thing I have ever been able to find to them

I went to school thru the entirety of the Reagan/H.W. Bush administrations. In Grade School my parents would pay for "lunch tickets" which I used to get my school lunch. In my case, I usually got pizza, chocolate milk apple juice and some type of dessert. There was one year that my grade school changed the brand of pizza and got something much cheaper. It was garbage. You could turn the pizza on its side and the cheese would ooze off like glop. Disgusting. Thankfully they got enough complaints and uneaten pizza going into the trash that they switched back. Middle School lunches were pretty uneventful as I can remember it, but in High School, the lunches improved dramatically. Meatball sandwiches, tacos, different types of pasta, and hamburgers/cheeseburgers. My High school called their double burger a "Deluxe Double Meat" burger. I loved bellying up to the lunch lady and saying "I'll have one o' your Deeeeeluxe Double Meats please!" They hated when you ordered it like that, but fuck 'em. They're the ones to give them that silly name.

Thing was, we had very, very few fatties in school. I was an exception (hence me going in strong for those "deluxe double meats"). Kids weren't getting fat from school lunches.... I wasn't fat from school lunch. Overeating at home was what made me fat.

I read a decade or more back that schools were doing away with recess. and even in some districts, gym classes. That is unfathomably dumb.
