Normally, they would be spending millions of dollars on a campaign like this. Instead, all they're spending is a mere quarter-million dollars, which is such a joke of a number I'm not sure why they're bothering.

It is also about opportunities to some extent. The story of Homer Hickam is quite relevant here. There's no use for bookworms when what your community needs is miners.

Russia has 5 times the amount of people as Ukraine does, they can replace far more losses for much longer than Ukraine can period

Russia has been able to rotate soldiers out and give overworked units leave and rest. Ukraine is struggling to maintaining a front line.

you lose 3-1 soldiers when on the offensive as a baseline, so even if Russia was experiencing those level of issues as the attacker that wouldt be an indication of incompetence but simply reflects the brutal nature of a modern offensive war.

Also Russia is on year 3 of a war economy, don't google what Winston Churchill has to say about the 3rd year of a war economy

I'm slowly getting through this congressional hearing on the Panama Canal re: Trade and National Security. It has taken way too long, but the general tenor of discussion indicates to me that congresscritters do finally understand the scope of risk posed by Chinese presence in the area.


We should all hope that there is enough political will to do what needs to be done about it. The operative treaty provides for any signatory to unilaterally declare a violation. "Formal" and "Informal" means of interference are outlined, meaning any activity even if not explicitly military can provide justification to declare a violation. Potentially a lot of words to say that China's activity does violate the treaty in one or more ways, and the U.S. can say as much without consulting anyone else about that. I just hope there's enough political will to do what needs to be done down there. It's just a matter of deciding how to tweak Panama's nuts in a way that doesn't cause any more future trouble than necessary.

There are multiple schools of thought. One of them is that we'll get there not necessarily by AGI, but by augmenting human brains. The other is AGI -> ASI, as previously discussed. Another is mind uploading, where you take the really smart fuckers and upload them and run the uploads as a form of bootstrapped AI.

Kurzweil's is that we just have to hope for life extension and then all sins shall be forgiven -- if we can reach the bridge point, where life extension tech adds more lifespan than time between life extension tech breakthroughs, we'll increase our odds of hitting one of the other pathways before we run out of time.

In any case, there's a reason they call all this the Rapture of the Nerds.

It's obvious its all a cover up, and they've deleted any files so that the Trump admin cant lookup what was actually going on. Clearly they were spraying Bird Flu trying to kick off another pandemic, They just dusted off and modified an old playbook since the public has grown aware of chemtrails.

Be on the lookout for massive amounts of gay frogs in these areas as well.

It was a test to see just how well the public would notice this sort of activity as an indicator of the viability of using the "public as a sensor" for detecting drone invasions, along with testing radar in those vicinities. Going ultra-secret with it was the wrong thing to do however after a few nights they should have just said they had some pilots doing night training to maintain their licenses or some bullshit and that they'd announce any future training to the public.

Every day feels like Christmas morning since inauguration. Sometimes you just get socks, other times you get an ugly shirt in the wrong size your parents will force you to wear, but some days it feels like 1999 and you get a Nintendo 64 mixed in with your presents.
