As far as I know Sims 3 and 4 don't exist in this timeline. The franchise when to shit after the second one. I can play the old games with means.

Honestly, in terms of re-releases/remasters? It's fair. Given they work flawlessly, which they don't. It's a cheap price to not support fitgirl troon crypto kernel miners & co.$30 dollars for The Sims 2 and $20 for The Sims 1 re-releases is insane.
There's a $40 bundle of 1,2, and some bullshit to add to 4.
I'll stick with my Ultimate Collection of 2. It isn't that hard to mod TS2 with the 4GB patch and shadow patch.
You could have easily gotten the disc images for The Sims Complete Collection on Internet Archive or elsewhere, and TS2 has (or had) an installer hosted on GitHub that downloads the entire game for you and applies the necessary fixes. It's a cheap price to not support fitgirl troon crypto kernel miners & co.
These aren't really even remasters so it isn't worth it. They just did barely a few days worth of coding and sticking DRMs to make them work on modern Windows. Nothing else.Honestly, in terms of re-releases/remasters? It's fair. Given they work flawlessly, which they don't. It's a cheap price to not support fitgirl troon crypto kernel miners & co.
If they released sims 1-3 with all dlc at $80 total I'd probably buy it eventually on a sale, solely to go "Okay, I got 'The Sims'. 4 does not exist and I have no future interest in the franchise", but of course that won't happen.
This is why licensed shit is terrible for video game preservation. Once the license ends, there's no guarantee the company will rerelease it in the future. I'm sticking to what I have for now until someone manages to pirate the new version will all the necessary stuff.IKEA Stuff is not in the Legacy Collection either

Ok so apparently I was wrong. They put out release notes later in the dayNot even a UI rescale for Sims 1. What an absolute bummer.
We thought we’d also make it easier to see all those classic pixels on your monitor! To scale the game to make better use of the screen space available, try using the Alt + Enter key combination to cycle through the different scaling options.
Just get the games4theworld version and then apply the widescreen patch manually. That one works fine out of the box, it's just the tiny window that gives issues. All that shit
I did that. I got the complete collection the no CD crack and the widescreen patcher and put it on my external ssd for PC games.Just get the games4theworld version and then apply the widescreen patch manually. That one works fine out of the box, it's just the tiny window that gives issues.

How about no. Ugh I hate how the whole old sim community is ruled by the same 5 zoomer genderspecial assholes all the time now.
