You're forgetting about the most sensible option: cut aid to Israel and let it be. We created this mess by propping them up. I fear that us taking ownership of Gaza will just make things worse and that as long as Israel is propped up by us they'll destabilize the region by being hyperaggressive and refusing sensible compromises.

I agree with you completely but I'm looking at possibilities that would come out of this bullshit, shot from the hip, non-plan. I'd rather these demons be buried and the Palestinians given their homes back but more than anything I don't want the US to be entrenched in the region forever. It's fun to think about taking Greenland since it's on our continent and strategically significant for us at home. We have NOTHING to gain from having an administrative territory in the Middle East other than to escalate wars Israel wants but doesn't want to pay for.
