King of the hill appreciation thread - Yup.

Overestimating her abilities has always been a part of her character. At no point did she ever fix her accent.
I like how Peggy can’t speak a sentence of Spanish correctly, Hank and Peggy compliment each other well, Hank was the uptight straight man to Peggy’s insanity. I have this running joke about all the crimes Hank and Peggy committed. But Hank takes the cake on blowing up the meglo mart hehe

It's episodes like lupes revenge that lend credence to the theory that after her skydiving accident Peggy suffered brain damage that permanently altered her personality.

would love for the continuation would touch upon the skydiving accident and how it ties to Peggys narcissism, quality writers could make a fantastic episode (or fantastic set of episodes) of it

You could even do something really touching with it too - like the near death gave her some PTSD she's covering with that narcissism or something. KOTH was like classic Futurama - able to make you laugh and cry all in one episode.

tbh Peggie gets into "go away" heel heat for me, like Kai Wynn
I agree to an extent. She's similar to Lisa in The Simpsons. She was okay in the first few seasons as a straight man/smart foil. After than every episode focusing on her is a immediate skip on rewatch, she became an annoying know-it-all that was also simultaneously the reason for the episode happening.

Except for the episode where she made an art sculpture out of beer cans or something and got roped into being a part of an art exhibit for retards, I think that came later in the show's run and it made me laugh pretty hard.

Her art was with propane tanks. C'mon man.

Her book/gun shop episode was good.

Because it had good Dale shit in it.
"And so, a farewell to A Farewell to Arms!"
"Excellent grouping, Colonel. Plus, those hollow points penetrated Shakespeare all the way into the so-called "Joyous Comedies". "
That and I love the ending where she figures out she should be less concerned with the opinions of the schoolmarms and enjoy the company of the customers she had cultivated along the way.

You know... back when writing was good and stories used to have layers where they worked on multiple levels. It's why KOTH is a Great.

Sorry, it's been awhile since I've seen that episode.

Yea Dale was definitely the real star of that episode. I won't deny that Peggy helped moved the plot along pretty well.

King of the Hill is unironically the '"adult cartoon" that has the best writing. Everything the characters do makes sense, and it's consistently funny without anything feeling like it was just a setup for a cheap punchline. I'm pessimistic but hopeful the reboot can carry the torch.

Heck yes love this show. Let me see what I've got in the old archives.
