I have recently been thinking about the Elon's role in Trump's second term and I can't help but be reminded of the story of Ramiro d'Orco as retold by Machiavelli in The Prince.

Here's the full paragraph for context:
When the duke occupied the Romagna he found it under the rule of weak masters, who rather plundered their subjects than ruled them, and gave them more cause for disunion than for union, so that the country was full of robbery, quarrels, and every kind of violence; and so, wishing to bring back peace and obedience to authority, he considered it necessary to give it a good governor. Thereupon he promoted Messer Ramiro d’Orco,[4] a swift and cruel man, to whom he gave the fullest power. This man in a short time restored peace and unity with the greatest success. Afterwards the duke considered that it was not advisable to confer such excessive authority, for he had no doubt but that he would become odious, so he set up a court of judgment in the country, under a most excellent president, wherein all cities had their advocates. And because he knew that the past severity had caused some hatred against himself, so, to clear himself in the minds of the people, and gain them entirely to himself, he desired to show that, if any cruelty had been practised, it had not originated with him, but in the natural sternness of the minister. Under this pretence he took Ramiro, and one morning caused him to be executed and left on the piazza at Cesena with the block and a bloody knife at his side. The barbarity of this spectacle caused the people to be at once satisfied and dismayed. (Source)
In short, Ramiro d'Orco was a cruel governor who the duke empowered to clean house and instill order in a disorderly state. The governor naturally drew the ire of the population for his cruelty and when he was no longer useful to the duke, he was swiftly disposed of in a public spectacle to appease the masses.

I believe many parallels can be drawn between Machiavelli's retelling and the current situation between Trump and Musk. Musk is acting as the big bad guy empowered by duke Trump to clean house and do all the necessary reforms Trump needs to solidify his power. Once he is no longer needed, perhaps as scheduled on July 4th or even before that as a result of a (possibly premeditated) public spat, Musk will be thrown under the bus to calm down the anger of the public and state officials alike. Trump would get his reforms while saving face, thus being a perfectly executed Machiavellian move.

Interesting, interesting, However a less skeptical man than me could say the report on the entirety of the spending is still forthcoming due to blocks by the fed judges but hey who knows, surely there isent another part of this story that might deserve higher billing right?

The idea of having someone who is willing to get their hands dirty and can also be politically disposable to their patron when pushes to come shove is a classic Machiavellian tactic. Musk is no mere minister though, he is a powerful donor who has much to gain financially by working with the Trump administration and may be willing to throw his money elsewhere if he isn't at the very least entertained.

good

get fucked you WEF shills. AP was at one time the premier journalist outlet but that was decades ago and they've been trading on the built up trust since. Their latest boss is a out and out leftist stooge for globohomo.
I will tell you a secret about the AP Wire Service. The AP Wire Service does not vet the stories that go out on the wire. They're not in the business of checking facts; that job belongs to their media subscribers, who are supposed to check all the details of the stories and confirm the facts before they publish. ANY subscriber in ANY country can upload a story to the wire. It's up to the media to decide which stories to fact-check and publish, and which ones to ignore. For some reason, the media doesn't do the fact-check part if the story confirms what the journalists already believe, go figure.

The AP Wire is flooded with insane stories that never see the light of day here in the US. There are stories from Japan about hungry Yokai leaving innocent schoolgirls drained of blood in the public toilets. There are stories from India of many-armed babies speaking in deep voices hours after birth, the perfect reincarnation of Kali. There are UFO abduction and ghost stories from all over the world. There are a lot of demonic possession stories coming from Italy (you know why). There are stories of witch doctors stealing penises from Africa, and hungry Bigfoot-like creatures alternately eating children whole or raping virgins. There are Abominable Snowman stories from Tibet, interspersed with the occasional 900-year-old monk (his secret is abstinence and Fava beans). The former tabloid, the Weekly World News, rarely made things up from whole cloth, because they had the AP Wire for inspiration. Most American outlets just don't report on the crazy stuff, but it all comes from the same source.

The AP Wire has ALWAYS been like this, since its inception. It was always up to the media to pick and choose which stories to ignore and which stories to promote. AP Wire was never reputable, it was up to the media to pick through the spew and wipe off the gems.

The fuck is a pricey subscription?
pricy in this case is just being used to say politico's subscriptions are high-cost, which they fucking are, holy shit.

$16.67 a month for the 1-year plan, $14.58 for the 2 year. you really only save $1.09 a month, lmao. 50 dollars for overseas subscriptions too... wonder how many of those we paid for. jesus fucking christ, what a scam.

redditors do not EVER click the source. if you do, you get downvoted to oblivion for pointing things out in it. as we all know, karma is the single most important thing to any redditor, so they just don't do that.

A reporter asks about whether or not if Egypt's plan will be "acceptable", but Trump states that they're already aware of some parts of the plan.
  • This part I'm not entirely sure what he meant.
what it means is that egypt is the biggest fucking opportunist in the world and will take the best deal offered so shit can change on a dime

In 2022 right after the start of the war in ukraine russia payed Egypt to build them like 50,000 missiles if I remember correctly

they took the money said "happy to build ya your 40,000 missiles"

Then big daddy US came in an said "we will give you 2 billion in military funding to give those missiles to Ukraine instead of russia"

they then said "we would be happy to build ukraine the 20,000 missiles instead of russia. Thank you for the aid"

when I followed up on it last they delivered a couple hundred insisting they are "getting up to speed" on production
