America had better not go on fire again.
I live here and I've seen enough of that shit.

🕯️

China virus blew its load, so, be on the lookout for a loose equivalent within the next 20 or so years. I give it 2039-2040.

"Armored Tesla" forecast to win $400 million State Department contract after Trump's election, government document shows

This is something that just won't be great unless Tesla starts working more with SpaceX engineers, maybe they are already, but they also need armored vehicle talent, the cybertruck's panels are decent against smaller arms fire just due to them being stainless steel, beyond that they're shit and most of the vehicle is worse than most modern ones in a crash alone, it can't crunch, and the rest of it is just anemic in other ways. I don't see this being a failure at face if it becomes a hybrid rather than an EV, if it's an EV it's dead in the water.

The National Socialist Movement isn't really relevant anymore relatively speaking so these guys seem to be its replacement in the Neo-Nazi sphere of far-right groups in the USA. To some it is all a big act but there is probably a handful of hardcore believers.

To get an idea of what to expect here is an image of the Blood Tribe and an image of the Goyim Defense League:

I'm not saying these guys are good people but oh man are they cuter than 80% of leftwing fellows

we are at 15, lets check the f-22
The US uses more than 10x the number of f35s than f22s, and f35s are individually used more often that an f22.
Consider that the the f16, which has a similar quantity to the f35 (+- a few hundred), with ~3x (<49 years vs <19 years), has well in excess of 500 bad accidents.
Even adjusting for time, and assuming that all f16s currently in use were instantly deployed 50 years ago, the f35 has crashed about an order of magnitude less. Obviously this is a meaningless and uninformed statistic, but even with it your claim is weak.

Taibbi smacks the democrats upside their collective heads

Holy shit I’m going down a taibbi rabbit hole now, do you guys have any greatest hits re: his writing? I have only been aware of his twitter files stuff.

Relatedly: do any of you subscribe to the racket news paid Substack? Price seems low enough it doesn’t look insane compared to some others, and clearly this dude does serious work.

Notice how all the entries get smaller over time? like they dont want to draw any attention or scrutiny to this issue, but I was worng, its not an even dozen its more than that

we are at 15, lets check the f-22

There are about 5x as many F-35s as F-22s. 15 out of 1000 planes crashing over 19 years vs 13 out of 186 planes crashing over 28 years means the F-22 has crashed at a rate about 3x higher than the F-35.

That balances it out, sure, the comparison will only really be just when the f-35 reaches the f-22's current age, then looking back will show which was truly worse.

I will say you're over exaggerating a bit; it's been pretty nice here since, like, November for outdoor eating, at least during the day.
Sure, in the winter time it's not bad to eat outside unless it's a wet winter or you get some real bad cold snaps blowing in, and it hasn't been all that bad this winter. But that still doesn't change the fact that in the other six months of the year, eating outside isn't entirely pleasant. Chik-Fil-A is extremely popular, and those misters really don't do a damn thing gonna be real with you. These places should have options for both indoor-outdoor.

But also that location is just badly-placed to begin with and the traffic is horrendous even for the drive-thru. I always drive to the next closest Chik-Fil-A because traffic isn't shit there, and also you can eat indoors there. Seriously, fuck these tiny drive-in-only shops, they truly have no business being squeezed into plazas that were never designed for such traffic to begin with.

Tabbi wrote great stuff about the mortgage crisis, then get got involved with some guy that didnt work out. He thrives substack because he does real work.

Thats why elon let him have the twitter files to start with .

can you redo those calculations with those numbers and see if it still seems commensurate?

also alot of those "1000" arent ours but partner nations as they funded small but significant portions of the development of the program

see only 630, still less than 200 but shoudl affect the calculations significantly over 1000

You will never convince me that 75% of the people in these photos are NOT feds.

In order to match the F-22, between now and 2034, accounting for the planned production of roughly another 1000 planes over that period, another 200 planes need to crash, or about two every month. We're at 15 so far. Probably not gonna happen.

Your crash list includes crashes by Japanese, South Korean, and British F-35s. If you add up all crashes around the world, you divide by all F-35s around the world.

15/1000 = 1.5%

If we look just at the USA, there have been 9 American crashes and one in-flight fire.

10/638 x 100% = 1.4%, basically the same.

can you redo those calculations

Do them yourself, faggot. I'm not your homework bitch.

You know how disappointing this has to be for the lefty elected offical reading this and seeing the little bit of their base that is still politically motivated only cares about shit like this
We’re not quite at “Trump gets two scoops of ice cream, everyone else gets one” levels of politically motivated pettiness yet, but it’s getting there
