Avowed - Obsidian's new game, like Pillars of Eternity meets Elder Scrolls

I'm kinda sad that this turned out how it did but it's definitely not unexpected. After playing The Outer Worlds (none of the dlc) ,with how lack luster it's world building, writing and gameplay all felt, it definitely seems like their not capable of delivering a product even on the level of FNV anymore.

Honestly, I've been less interested ever since they started telling people who compared Avowed to Skyrim to lower their expectations.

Suuuuure, if RDR 2 hasn't convinced people that Rockstar has gone full woke, nothing will. Go and play your woke slop, go and give money to the people who want to exterminate (not with violence, with the promotion of mass immigration and black/brown race mixing) the White race, I hope you are not White then at least I can understand it.

At least RDR2 offers some fun in the open world and moment to moment gameplay, GTA 6 looks like a mod for GTA 5(which is over 10 years now). I don't see GTA 6 being anywhere as good as people hope it will be, especially after the leaks.

Oblivion NPCs were great, they all had little pre-programed routines. If you followed some of them around you could find out they were cultists before the game hit that point where they started attacking you. Pretty fun stuff.

It's really weird. I think it's some bizarre hipster thing where they're considered "diverse".
And like all "diverse" characters, they're never allowed to be cool. They're always buck broken like those nerdy flannel black guys they keep putting in everything.

Wait, you can't just kill random NPCs like you could in New Vegas or Outer Worlds? That might genuinely be a game killer for me, the only way I can have fun with a game like that is to be a chud and kill anyone I don't like.
Oh well, I was never going to give them any money anyways, so I still lose out on nothing.

That's terrible. I take back wanting to play it on xbox live. If I cant chop an NPC's head off because they're being annoying than what's the fucking point? I'm not even saying that I'd go on a rampage, showing mercy is something that also allows. Essential NPCs were bad enough but this is, "Don't play the game they way I don't like" tier.

All I ask for at the end of the day is to keep my agency. I'll suffer consequences for it, but let me do what I want ffs.
