Slow week so I'll comment on some connections between SS14 and the rest of open source happenings.

1) PJB commented on Hector Martin's resignation, expressing support. (archive) They both were quite early adopters of Mastodon, which is something I haven't seen outside of open source weirdos. Besides Bluesky everyone seems to use one of dozens of incel fediverse instance with stuff like tech.uwu.groomer.lgbt. Their posts get no engagement from what I can see. What is the appeal of the fediverse stuff?

2) SS14's 40% of top contributors being trans doesn't seem so ridiculous any more after Rust polled at 35%.

Previously the working theory was that these insane, ridiculous, unbelievable numbers were the result of Spacemans being the center of open source, ERP, furries, femstatics, etc which all fed each into each other and led to such an anomalous result. Now, with Rust, I have no explanation. Yeah it has a reputation as being tranny-associated but it's, whether you like it or hate it, a competent technical product that can be used in a serious manner to any other popular programming language. That SS14 number is probably a bit higher now; I'm seeing pronouns in bios of people who didn't have them last July. What the fuck is going on? Surely there has to be an upper limit we'll hit soon to how many open source autistic guys can troon out. Is it literally just autism?

Transgenderism is a mind virus plain and simple. Trannies desire nothing more than to make more trannies, and barring that, make anyone unable to be converted absolutely numb to their existence. I remember one time I had this bug on Fulp (Rest in Piss) where no matter what I changed my character settings to, I would always be defaulted back to female. Whenever I brought it up someone would say "Maybe you're trans" and I would assure them that I wasn't, but nobody ever had a solution outside that quip, and it happened multiple times when I asked. It's just how they exist, for some reason trannies are hardcoded to spread like the fucking borg.

Yes. It's autism.

Gives them the mental eccentricity to like programming. But makes them significantly more likely to troon out. This is associated with the programmer socks meme.

Programming is tedious and often unfun work. Paradoxically, who would voluntarily spend their free time doing such things? An autist. Due to the nature of things, I do not think it's realistic that we can contain the techtranny menace any time soon - unless some normal people would like to pick up coding and reclaim these communities themselves.

SS14 being infested with trannies is a direct result of poisonous outside influence of degenerate communities that came from their own containment chambers (I have no screenshots but know for a fact that some ERP SS13 servers were recruiting players on furaffinity) and of the more broader open source community, which is pozzed beyond any repair.

A large Space Station 14 server called Delta V had an incident last year where the admin team said queer people URGENTLY need to be able to play as kids or they will be harmed. In defending this, they told people to look up something called "empty spaces fiction" to understand the queer identity of identifying as a child.

Here's our pedophile thought leader SS14 pedos tell us to educate ourselves with. The operator of this website has links to the Zizian death cult. They have a writeup in the thread about the Zizians here. I feel fucking crazy because this shit just keeps getting more ridiculous. I was not expecting SS14 pedos to be 2 degrees removed from Ziz, or to send people to a literal Zizian as instruction on their worldview.

As other posters said it's probably autism and the fact that transgenderism is a mind virus, but I think there's a conformity/social pressure element to it as well. I wouldn't be surprised if a significant portion of these people don't care about pronoun shit but when the maintainers and "community leaders" of a project are all rabid trannies, the relatively normal people contributing to these projects will probably feel like they have to buy into the tranny shit to help get their PRs merged or whatever. Especially considering how quick genderspecial people are to cancel others from their community for the smallest hint of "bigotry", anyone who just likes SS14 or the Rust language but isn't a freak will have to toe the party line to not get evicted from a project they may have spent hours contributing to.

I've come across Archinist across several servers and he acts the same in all of them, whining about shit in OOC, being a janny's pet, complaining that mechs need to be buffed, and accusing everyone of self-antagging for minor tiding and having in-character conflicts. He paints a target on himself because of how easy it is to make him seethe in OOC, I've noticed people deliberately fucking with him just for the fun of it.
 
Its because being around transgender people expressing joy at bring/expressing their gender can cause some people who had shoved aside their own dysphoria to realize they don't actually like being their gender. Also being around them normalizes those ideas in one's head, thinking about gender expression, dysphoria, euphoria, spectrums, etc.

One thing this whole experience has taught me is just how pathetic you all are. The amount of conspiratorial bullshit emanating off of this thread is probably a lolcow in its own right.

Autistic people are just less likely to get hung up on breaking out gender roles as it is and this and the above can play off of each other. I think the it/nerd/autism crowd just has less uncracked eggs.

Our beliefs never materialised in a vacuum, we've all spent time around troons, many of us even spent time around them on /tg/ and we came to our conclusions based on how they acted, even something that may seem small like the "egg" terminology is actually quite disgusting (it's much more akin to an egg being cracked over a pan than anything else). They see someone who is vulnerable and they try to convince them that there is something fundamentally wrong with their form and that it would be better off if they tried to become a simulacrum of the opposite sex, all it does is do further damage to that vulnerable individual who is then offered false reassurance by what can only be described as a cult, until that individual steps out of line and/or finally realise that it wasn't the solution to their woes.

Regardless, no matter how pathetic you may think we are, you're the one who has been ostracised here. You have no space on the project you practically dedicated your life towards, everyone in that community dislikes you now, so you come here to try and seek attention. And since you have barely any qualifications or skills elsewhere, you're practically stuck. I think everyone else knows who's the real pathetic one here.
