Random 80s shows like Dorvack are still beloved today; will you be able to say the same about My Hero Academia or Oshi No Ko or whatever FOTM in 40 years?
Well, It's not exactly a fair comparison. I haven't watched Dorvack but what I do gather is that it's a series made from the ground up for television without being based on anything else, is that right? I find that anime made specifically as anime are very different beasts than adaptations. My Hero and Oshi are still based on a serialized work which forces adapters to turn into pretzels to properly set up seasons of content that may be absolute dead ends depending on if the manga crashes and burns or not.
So for your specific comparison, it makes more sense to compare My Hero and Oshi No Ko to something like Dragon Ball or Ranma. And no, I very much doubt MHA or OnK will stand the test of time as well as DB or Ranma outside of nostalgia though a big part of it is how much both series shat the bed on their endings. As a mostly manga consumer, MHA had been shit for years before it ended and Oshi no Ko had a huge dip in quality (well, like pretty much anything made by that mangaka when he gets bored), their endings were disasters and since both are relatively "serious stories" I think they are a bit too up their own ass to have the appeal something like Dragon Ball had which is more of an adventure comedy.
Now going back to an apt comparison with Dorvack... I'm drawing a blank and I think it's kind of related to what you wanted to allude to. How much anime is NOT an adaptation of some LN or manga right now? This is an honest question, I read more manga than watching anime, but can't think of anything from the last 5-10 years that was anime only and set the world on fire. And well, it's one thing to make something thought of from the word go as animation, and another grabbing something from another medium and adapting it, that some of those adaptations can be fire doesn't change that it's more transformative than creative.
Well, the retard is the one that correlated human devouring demons to his minority pet project of choice, says a lot about what they really think.
farms, is it worth starting FMAB?
I'd say very firm yes but...
Did you see the original series?
If you didn't I would still watch the original and even if you don't want to I would still recommend watching the early parts of FMA before the switch as they rush through things in the beginning of brotherhood.
I also believe the original series has it's merits. I cannot really emphasize how much Brotherhood speedruns through the story to cover what the original FMA covered and it really impacts the emotional payoff of some of the early moments. I also suggest watching both anime honestly, though maybe spaced out. There are autistic spreadsheets of optimal ways to watch both series together to make something cohesive, but I honestly don't think it's worth the hassle.
I personally favor the original manga/Brotherhood take of the story.
No.
Go with Shaman King instead where true (over) soul resides
I only read original Shaman King and a smidgen of flowers, but I honestly though it was kind of a mess and it really showed that it got axed early when everyone was getting top tier elemental spirits at the drop of a hat. Are the follow ups able to tell stories from beginning to end? I'm kind of surprised a manga that clearly got cancelled managed to get multiple sequel series though.
I'm almost halfway through Golden Wind now, and I have to say, Fighting Gold is definitely in the running for best opening theme for me, about tied with Stand Proud from Part 3's first half.
Fighting Gold goes so damn fucking hard it's insane.
So niggers, is Fairy Tail as bad or cringe as I've heard it to be? I know nothing will ever compare to One Peak for me, but is there anything good about this obvious Break Piece knockoff?
I thought it was shit, again, manga only, but like others have told you, it's pop corn. Something something "power of friendship" and shit explodes. It's incredibly unapologetic with it's fanservice which can be a plus or a minus for you. To me it ended up being detrimental with how blatant it was. Also, once you see a couple of arcs, all arcs are pretty much the same. I do agree with Endless Torment that it didn't forget it's secondary characters though.
Personally, for pure popcorn, and being aware that I read the manga, so no idea if the anime is ass, I find Black Clover more enjoyable than Fairy Tail. It's also full of ass pulls up the whaazoo, but I just had more fun with it. Though it's not finished as of now and the mangaka is going VERY slowly now for what I can only presume is due to health reasons.

Has anyone seen black lagoon recently its crazy to me that this show released in 2006 because the animation is still pretty good what you'd expect from 2000s era madhoues i suppose i was wondering why it only stopped after two seasons plus OVA but it seems that the author of the manga is really slow so there's not really enough material to work with which is a shame because the characters are really cool mainly revy and rock
Ah, another staple of when I watched a lot more anime than read manga... was awesome. I forget it exists every once in a time only to be reminded that it's still technically being serialized even though it comes out at a worse rate than a Togashi manga. The anime was fire though and it probably would have benefited from just doing it's own thing and giving an ending.
