Just to add, the American government has also desecrated the crown (Constitution) through its abuse of power. It did so by coercing its people into taking experimental drugs, by violating and abusing the law, by imprisoning its people while letting rioters run free, by pressing the scales of justice in favor of criminals, by sending millions indirectly to itself while ignoring, or even exploiting, the needs of its constituents. So when Trump picked up the Constitution with his club, like @prolapsed_cranium said, he decided to give it a new lease on life. He's draining the swamp around it so it can live and breathe as the Founding Fathers intended.

If I am being honest, I do not believe that is what he is doing. Trump is not bound by Constitutional law. In so far as he is bound, he is only bound by choice. Which is why I added to what you quoted that the Crown of the American nation is probably the most dangerous one to wear. I don't believe that the ultimate authority for our government resides in the Constitution. The Constitution itself doesn't believe it. As it say's that its authority is derived from the compact of the United States of America, who themselves derive their authority from the people and god alone.

At a fundamental level all governments are exercises in power. And if a leader is able to capture a majority of the force, he can accomplish what he wants irrespective of law and custom. Take for example Abraham Lincoln. An excellent example of a President who decided to put the Crown of America on his head. Entire pages can be written about why he did it, if he should have done it, and whether or not it was bad or good. But that is not as important as the fact that Lincoln DID put the Crown on his head and reunited the country by force, and then imposed reforms. Also by force. It killed alot of people. And ultimately even himself. But he did succeed, and he's got a bitching temple to his memory in Washington DC now, complete with a marble throne.


I mean look at the god damn thing. The seat rests are literal Fasces. The people who designed that monument were not thinking in terms of Lincoln being a good politician who had some great ideas and manages the beaurocracy and military well. They thought of him as a conquering Emperor and that is what they depicted him as. Even now, today, there will be people who say what Lincoln did was authoritarian and contrary to the principles of the Compact of the United States that created the Constitution. That he acted outside his authority. Yet nobody will disagree that he DID fight the civil war, he WON it, and now he sits on a marble throne for all time.

The danger inherent in what is going on now with Trump is the same. The nation has been pushed to the point of crisis, and now a man who claims to have the solutions to reverse the disaster has taken up the crown and put it upon his head. If Trump wants to drain the swamp, he cannot by definition follow the law. The Beaurocracy was created BY law. They are sustained by the laws. They are creatures OF the law. To get rid of their power means getting rid of the law by definition. But that is what the American people, the ultimate source of power in this country desire, it is what they have elected Trump to do.

Trump found the Crown of America in the gutter and took it up, but it was the People who put it on his head. But heavy is the Crown, and the American Crown is the heaviest of them all. The American people have great expectations. But at the same time they also expect that the man wearing the Crown resist the very real temptations such enormous power offers. If Trump is to do what he wants to do, he has to be a King or Emperor. Yet at the same time he must also not BECOME a King or Emperor. He must remain a servant of the Crown he wears, rather then the wielder of it.

And that is something that sets mortals apart from the gods.

I watched a bunch of videos to see various EU politician's reactions to Vance's speech.

Main things I noticed:

• They always deflect from there being any internal issues and that the US should stay out of their business
• Russia, Russia, Russia
• Zero mention of what JD said about Romanian election at all, they don't even want to bring it up
• Zero mention of immigration
• They want to raise their defense spending, but their messaging says that they will not do this while taking away from any social programs (so where does the money come from? no one seems to know.)
• They're big mad that they're not being involved in the discussions with Russia and Ukraine
• No mention of not paying % of GDP for NATO spending for decades
• Mostly deflecting and gaslighting
• They're defending "democracy" from far right wing parties, they will not work with the right wing, and expect _all_ parties to do the same
• Still on the J6 NPC points, Trump doesn't care about democracy because he pardoned the J6 people, etc.
