Whatever in this university exists without my knowledge exists without my consent.

Trump looked about at the dark university office in which they were bivouacked. He nodded toward the specimens he'd collected. These anonymous creatures, he said, may seem little or nothing in the world. Yet the smallest DEI hire can devour us. Any smallest thing beneath yon rock out of men's knowing. Only gender ideology can enslave man and only when the existence of each last entity is routed out and made to stand naked before him will he be properly suzerain of the earth.

Too many periods but close enough. Trump must realize the status as suzerain instead of gay ass "elected official". I legit think Trump understands this given him quoting Napoleon.

My guy, you do realize that the average age of congressmen is like 70?

(And NOT all geared up in padding like ice hockey players.)

They’d break each other legs and backs. Not from getting punched but from falling or moving to fast and falling down a couple of stairs.
I fail to see how this is a bad thing.

David Hogg sounds like a pornstar name
Isn't this a good thing?
A mistake was made and instead of doubling down on it the mistake was quickly fixed.
This is coming from the people who think a mistake is the most humiliating thing ever and must be hidden at all costs.

Trump should impose a 100% tariffs on food imports
you do know the US is a net food producer. Anything imported can be made and grown here. We'll just have sparkling avocados instead of Mexican avocados.
>poultry industry culls chickens due to bird flu
>suddenly egg prices are Trump's fault
>this is despite all the inflation that happened under Biden's handlers' (and their agencies') watch
>this totally represents the bigger picture of the American economy

Has it ever occurred to these people that they're actually really fucking stupid?
No, they're so smug to never once question their beliefs or know the relationship between cause and effect.

Two more fights happened not long after the first one

Three total fights happened within the first nine seconds of the match.
Did we win though?

The fasces is a core component of American iconography:

The fasces doesn't signify a conquering emperor. It signifies the strength of many bound together as one. It's especially appropriate on the Lincoln memorial because a core belief of the Union side as expressed by Lincoln was that America's strength came from the union formed by the 1783 Constitution, and a loose confederation of independent states would be easy pickings for the hungry empires of Europe.

The fasces fell out of favor after 1945 for obvious reasons, although the Germans didn't care for it, so we didn't tear it down at least.
The fasces is a Roman symbol, so the USA and Mussolini’s Italy had their own reasons for appropriating it. The American founding fathers were deeply influenced by the Roman civilization in setting up their democratic system, and Mussolini wanted to larp as a Roman emperor.

Even beyond this, another large chunk is the early Millenial to Boomer gens. Most don’t use the internet past FaceBook and are completely within their own bubble of the 80s-00s as media has been locked in since 08. Weirdly, I think Synthcool, a hardcore lefty, put it best when he talked about the generation that still watches SNL and says it’s funny because they make fun of both sides. These people are completely lost in the modern world as they are stuck in a nonstop loop of Fox Republican news, CNN balanced news, MNSBC Liberal news, Stewart/Colbert/Kimmel/Bee/(insert late night host) is a genius who really points out the flaws of (2000s) Right-wing ideology.

This is so true. I was mostly talking about the online leftist cohort, but there's another (larger) group of older libs who simply haven't had a software update since the 2000s.

A boomer acquaintance fits this category, he was recently boasting about how Trump's base was "deserting him" because he'd seen the National Review criticizing something or other. Absolutely no concept that National Review is a neocon establishment rag that was never for Trump. In his head, the "right wing" is still a monolithic bloc of conservative Christians in suits trying to put prayer back in schools.

And the weirdest thing is that these aren't people who ignore politics (which is something I can admire). They think of themselves as politically informed and many of them talk about Trump more than anyone here does, but they somehow still manage to live in a 2008 bubble. It's uncanny.

*two fights*
Trump should sign an EO to rename ice hockey, "competitive ice boxing."

Audible boos for the US National Anthem in Montreal before the USA-Canada 4 Nations Face-Off hockey game

If only they showed that much spite toward the jeets (and Trudeau).

This is in Montreal. Bombing Quebec would likely get a grateful Canada to cede the prairie territories.
Pourquoi pas les deux?

A couple ice hockey players from the United States and Canada got into a fight with one another right after the game started.

It all happened after a large percentage of the sellout crowd at a center in Canada loudly booed the U.S. anthem. A number of fans also booed every time a U.S. player was shown on video screens during pregame warmups.
The hilariously fake patriotism is so unbelievably astroturfed that it needs to be studied for generations. Literally the only thing Canada had going for them, the one thing they were holding onto by the tips of their fingers, was 'being nice' and they've thrown that away like so many paper coffee cups in service to... to what, actually? A government that's prorogued? A majority party with a resigned leader that still makes decisions? An economy that's slowly replacing them with foreigners? What the fuck did Canada even manage to gain from their attempt at gay chicken because, as far as I can tell, all the country managed to do was make itself like even more petulant and feeble.
Yet nobody will disagree that he DID fight the civil war, he WON it, and now he sits on a marble throne for all time.
>create a Civil War
>spend most of it getting your ass kicked
>completely upend the ability of all states to govern themselves
>be called a hero for all this and get a monument

Canada's biggest cultural contributions were children's TV shows, the most incompetent police force in the Anglosphere (The mounties), and maple syrup.

it's not just them, even Team Harris/Biden were clearly under the impression they were fighting the Moral Majority/Neo Con GOP of 1996 or so
I really don't get how they haven't woken up to the realities of modern shitpost conservatism but I hope they continue to miss the memo
