I've got a 3-row suv bc hauling kids and friends for years made it make sense if anyone wants to help me figure out what to replace it with bc it's old and getting hanky, please lmk bc halp)

I recommend a Subaru Ascent if looking for something with similar capacity. Not knowing the clime, it avoids the issues with Honda, Toyota, and Hyundai with their seals between fluid systems in extreme cold or hot weather. This assumes you you not need to go into the bush or haul heavy equipment, but want some AWD and good safety features.

Theory 3: he may have been too depressed at the breaking news now being reported by a fairly prominent Dabbleverse squirrel, about word getting around in those circles that Nick's request to attend Hackamania has been DENIED DENIED DENIED:
This is also gonna have to be properly sourced. The judge didn't seem to have any issue with it.

Though, there's something else in that screenshot...

$275 to attend this pedo's gay event?! GTFO!!!

I hope this is the case, and I did agree with those saying that a probation officer might not like the event description, but we will have to wait and see. If Nick says that 'things just did not work out', we know he was DENIED.

Yeah, as much as I want April leaving Nick and moving to a other city to be true, I'm gonna have to ask Will to provide a source.
Wil Herren is Nick's replacement for Keanu; a gullible internet clout-chaser who Nick feeds bullshit to instead of saying it himself.

Bob and Celeste are running the show financially now. The only thing Nick's running is his mouth on the internet like a petty, jilted ex. April likely got a nice fat wad of cash and put her signature to a letter to keep her trap shut and not dare tarnish the Rekieta name further.

The only 'city' April's gonna move to is back to Litchfield with her parents (second guess: with her brother in somewhere-in-MN), she's a small-town farm girl to her core and her friend circle consists of many burned bridges.

The judge didn't seem to have any issue with it.

That's being a bit generous if you take another look at it from Wentzell's perspective, where he made it a point not to take a position one way or another, or to even ask for any details about the trip pertinent to ever taking a position, because he was entirely leaving it up to whether "things are okay with probation... so long as everything is going well with probation." Just like when he subtly chastised Nick and the Barneswalker for raising motion in limine issues prematurely at the omnibus hearing, this too could be read as his passive-aggressive "Minnesota Nice" way of politely reminding Nick and the rookie associate with him of their lack of experience with felony drug cases, because if they'd had any, they would know that their request at the plea hearing was premature and even downright silly when this sort of thing is below the judge's pay grade from his 50,000-foot view without even having so much as a PSI report in-hand yet.

Or even if the request had been made at a more timely post-PSI stage, even then directing it to the judge instead of a PO would have been taken as silly because this sort of thing should be squarely in the purview of the PO whose job it is to ferret out all the intimate details of the probation subject's life and assess what risks the trip could pose to his recovery. Deep down, Wentzell likely even chuckled internally while shunting it over to probation precisely because he had every expectation that the probation officers he knows and sees in violation hearings on a regular basis would know to ask Nick all the right questions and tell him no fucking way without Wentzell ever needing to touch it.

She had been ignored by her love interest for months; Rekieta rekindled her hope when they were openly flirting on Twitter. Then, someone forced Rekieta to cut ties, and she was ignored again. Her BPD might have led her to delete all her social media on Valentine's Day, hoping someone would contact her again.

Alternatively, if there's any truth to Nick's claims passed through Wil Herren that April is already "seeing someone," Valentine's Day would have brought a time for reflection on how badly she wants to keep whatever poor sucker she got her hooks into, and that reminded her how easily googling could pull up even privated accounts' usernames which are then easy enough to use in finding everything that was meticulously archived by username long before she privated anything. Same goes for keeping her neighbors, nearest bar's regulars, and coworkers in the dark if there's any truth to her having "moved to a different city" and having started "working" (fat chance). Her only hope of starting over with any of them would have been to DFE and even that probably won't cut it.

Speaking of which, did anyone ever figure out any of Devin's socials or at least a last name? Considering how swiftly Aaron went straight back to his ex who had waited through years of April to pounce the moment Aaron was on the rebound, it wouldn't be surprising if April went back to her ex as well. Stranger things have happened.

But that's the special VIP (very important pedo) deal. The normal deal is merely the high, high price of $130.

The only extra associated with the VIP ticket is getting into the bar two hours early on friday for a special "private party" with Melton. You don't even have to pay for food at the private party. What a bargain.

The ticket prices are a little high. Melton is renting the event room at a bar in a not great hotel in downtown Las Vegas for three nights and making some badges.

Devin Payment is his name. He lives in Florida according to his Twitter account; his IG account suggests he ain't single. Besides, according to Aaron (take a pinch🧂), monkey brancher April cheated on Devin with him when he was Mr. Big-time radio guy, but she told Aaron they already broke up when in fact they were still living together when she cheated.

Yeah, but I heard Sean owns a Subaru.

Something something, fat. Something something, sandwiches.

I admit it would be funny if somebody (not anyone here, of course) clued in Nick's PO as to who Ethan Ralph and Juju the Cow are.

"Little high" is a understatement.

A full multi-day pass to your average anime or sci-fi convention is about the same price or cheaper nowadays. For example, it was cheaper for a person to attend all four days of Anime Matsuri in 2024 than this.

I get that attendence will be low so, to some extent, he has to jack up the price per attendee to pay off even a crappy venue. Here's a thought though: If attendence is THAT low, he doesn't rate a convention.

...and as to the event host's own felony cocaine arrest of course, surely the sort of known associate that POs always love to see:

I found two sources of information regarding his cocaine arrest in LA:

A short video posted on the subreddit r/HackerverseAnonymous (Could not download or find it anywhere else), it is Redbar reading an email from a listener who talks about Melton's arrest for cocaine.

A person in the comments of the post stated this was season 14 episode 8 of Redbar Radio.
-Had been listening to NLO since 2007
-Was an avid fan
-He now listens to Redbar, his girlfriend hates Melton
-Melton was arrested in California for possession of cocaine
-In an after show Melton claimed the cocaine belonged to another comedian
-He was going to be nice and hold onto it
-Instead he decided to sell the cocaine and got picked up by the cops
-During another after show Melton cried about not trusting the police and telling them the truth
-He tried to crowdfund the lawyer
-He is a real softie
-Redbar says that he has seen Melton's arrest record
-Redbar says that Melton was arrested for something the bail was $10k and he wants to know where Melton got the money from.
A LOSSLESS video where Josh Denny also talks about Melton's arrest for cocaine, timestamped to subject:

What's "low attendance" for one of these things? The single venue only holds 300-500. Only 50 of those are VIP.

It looks like it's 2 days. Sunday's adventure doesn't appear to be included.

To be honest, it looks like a scam. I'd love to see the agreement with the hotel. He has the "no refunds" and resales up to "72 hours before." I wonder if the hotel gets unsold tickets 72 hours before the event and they just let people in after their nominal cover fee.

My guess: Melton reserved the venue for a small fixed amount based on a sliding ticket sales scheme. It includes X number of comp'd rooms. Maybe drink and food comps. Melton gets to sell tickets exclusively until 72 hours before. Hotel gets to sell unsold tix 72 hours prior, giving Melton a fraction for entertainment. Attendees will be pissed when they could have bought VIP seats for $50 at the door. Also in my imaginary contract, if Melton cancels event, the hotel will honor tix he sold for admission to the bar so "no refund" applies regardless of changes to entertainment. He probably has very little monetary exposure if the event is cancelled.

EDIT: lol - "The Sand Dollar" has no cover charge for it's live entertainment engagements. Looks like rando people off the street will get in for free.

Sure. Although it doesn't quite match her past behavior, I personally believe that if she were serious about someone else, she would post lots of photos with her new love interest instead of deleting her social media account. I believe this is just a "call for attention" move... But what do I know? I'm just an incel prude.

I think we will eventually learn the story behind this, considering how narcissistic everyone involved in this situation is.

Two days at the hotel. There are events on thursday night, but at an undisclosed location.

Everyone has to pay for Sunday's adventure on their own. There are shuttles to that entertainment venue from the hotel, but I would guess that the venue is providing those to him for free.

All Nicks antics and bullshit make me wonder what Kayla is still doing with him in all honesty.
This post and it's many replies made me look closer at Matthew Woltjer's 2019 pics of the Rekieta home. Matthew is Kayla's bio big brother from the original marriage. I was looking for evidence of any homeschooling. Just how ineffective is Kayla?

(The bigger Kayla debate is excellently chronicled on @Not Who You Think 's OP on the woman.)

I got sidetracked by this...

1) This hangs on the wall of their dining room:
1739658655029.png
For readability and red for what I found funny:
CHILDREN ARE A gift FROM THE LORD
THEY ARE: A reward FROM HIM
CHILDREN WHO ARE BORN TO PEOPLE WHEN THEY ARE YOUNG
are like arrows in the hands of a soldier
Blessed
ARE THOSE WHO HAVE many children.
THEY WON'T BE PUT TO SHAME WHEN
they go up against their enemys in court.
- Psalm 127: 3-5
(For those who use the proper King James version here's the actual translation.)

Where do I start?

- This is both tragic and humorous foreshadowing (again this is from 2019). Aside from being an embarrassing demonstration of every cliche, bible-thumping, Homegoods-loving, midwestern Millennial, it's almost disturbing. They expect their children to be their army. It's rather amazing tbh. Most of us would prefer our children not to consider COURT or WARFARE for their future.

- For funsies, put on your 11th-grade English poetry (or creative writing degree) hat for a second. Flip the narrative. Who is their kids' actual "enemy" in court? Let's assume that "court" means the harm they have actually experienced. ... Time will tell. I want to believe in karma. Shari Franke is a NYT Best Selling author for ratting on Ruby.

2) This (not) "art" is surrounded by a plaque for each family member that references the meaning of their first name and a bible passage.

Nicholas: Victorious Heart, Job 23:11 (Job had other plans, Nicky.)
Kayla: Pure Love, Titus 2:7 (SO much "love")
Child 1 (son): Follower of Christ, Psalms 1:2
Child 2 (son): A Good Counselor, Proverbs 20:5
Child 3 (daughter): (Name meaning too pixelated, but maybe Secure Limb since her name has a forest connotation and the verse has a security connotation), Job 11:18
Child 4 (daughter): Noble and Strong, Isaiah 26:4 *
Child 5 (daughter): Humble Spirit, Psalm 119:34

* I'll go with "noble and strong" considering what she has survived.

Speculating on their name meaning beyond that is rough, and even silly. It goes into horoscope land. Who knows when the plaques were purchased. I will say the eldest daughter (#3) made me pause. Eldest daughters (and sons) in large families often carry a big burden. Those in the psychological community are well-versed.

Bonus: This is apparently the origin of the plaque trend (Matthew Woltjer did it for his 4 kids too):

The irony never stops.

3) As for my original goal - evidence of homeschooling - there is some. That said, it's on par with any other upper-middle-class family whose kids attend normal day school.

I'm going to say that Kayla was at least trying in 2019.

Edit: 2019, not 2017. And, notably, @Mike Stoklasas Spock Ears posted it in Nov. I dug into a bit more detail.

God DAMN it. Lol. 😆
There’s a world of difference between rally racing Subaru cars (MANLY) and street Subaru cars (gay). The boxer diesel is incontrovertible proof of this.
