LCS's Lips 106 does not get enough attention for its humor. Non-stop pop music in The Worst Place in America where the male DJ is an ephebophilie.

You work with gangsters, corrupt politicians, maniacs, yet they're not even THE worse of the worst.

It's crazy to me after 10-15 years of listening to Opie and Anthony and now Ron and Fez clips that they were all over some of these games and I didn't know while I was playing it. I found clips on youtube with the talk show that had Fez and Patrice together but I kind of want to go back and play 4 just to see how many random pedestrians I can recognize now while I'm running them over.

the radio in GTAV is pretty shit aside from radio ga ga, roundabout and in the wake of poseidon
Naming the shittiest songs of Queen and Yes, lol.
While i agree that the music selection is crap, there are a few good to great songs on the so called Rock station (Rain, Ogden's nut gone flake, baker street, fortunate son, danger zone, peace of mind, mississipi queen) and the country station has whiskey river at least.
Everything else is crap and the OST is pure shite, that's some of the most horrendous background noise i ever heard in a video game, i don't even know if most of that shit could be called music, sounds more like the death noises of a dying soundcard to me.
No comparison to Vice City (both) and San Andreas, which are easily the best.
But the downfalls was already there with IV and it's horrendous shit stations, the only good one, again, was the Rock station and LCH in the DLCs, since at least that featured Bathory, Kreator, Celtic Frost and Entombed.
But i'll be forever grateful that the PC Master Race gets their own Radio station, while console peasants literally have to listen to the same 10 good songs over and over like morons, lol.

The Xbox and PSP allowed for players to create their own radio stations with their console's respective media player features. The Xbox 360 did allow you to play your own music too in the background, but it wasn't an official feature.

Which way.. As in how long it takes to beat or how long you play.. either way it's retarded and a sure sign of ruin. (no way they are going to make it worth replaying or just fucking around)

This is the other side of the streaming coin. Doesn't get talked about nearly as much in the streaming ills debate. But it is 101% what pubs and big business is dreaming about! It would totally make GTA (and gaming) pointless to me over night. I spend hours just fucking around in GTA.. Days worth of time in the end. Fuck this. They are insane if they think this is possible going forward even in a streaming future hellscape.

Its so much better than the wall of trash that was the IV soundtrack.
I don't hate GTA IV's soundtrack, the music taste for the base game felt weaker than its predecessors. Vladivostok FM, The Journey, and The Vibe 98.8 were my go-to radios. Eastern European rap music, trance music, 00s R&B helped diversify the urban jungle that Liberty City was fostered on not unlike NYC.

Liberty City Rock Radio was greatly improved from The Lost & Damned. Of course, I loved The Boggs and Q Lazzurus from GTA IV.

One thing I'm surprised the SA community hasn't bothered with is attempting to remaster the Introduction Movie, which was a seperate DVD only available for the PS2 Special Edition of SA.
The video above is only available in 360p quality and no other higher quality version of it seems to exist. You'd think after 20 years SA fans would attempt to recreate the movie with the tools they have now, but AFAIK no attempt has been made yet.

I thought somebody has upscaled the original video to modern resolutions at the least.

Admittedly I would like it if Rockstar provided something resembling a peek behind the curtain of what goes on in development.
They won't do that anymore. They're like Nintendo in that regard where they don't want the public to know a damn thing other than how to open up their wallet and they view them so lowly as to not feel that they deserve to see what goes into the slop they buy. It's the same reason why both of them are so cucked when it comes to mods and reverse engineering projects.

I tried playing the mobile version of Chinatown Wars the other day only to find that Cockstar wants me to verify my purchase by having my device licensed with proof of purchase. It wasn't like that before, they specifically updated it so it would do that. Suck my motherfucking dick Cockstar, I'll just go back to playing it on DS

Strauss Zelnick says that "[their company] has shown a willingness to support legacy titles," which he is alluding to GTA Online's lifespan after GTA 6 releases this year. Well, of course they'd still have to support GTA Online since it's their lucrative cash cow to date. I'm still calling bullshit on that claim since R* abandoned Red Dead Online while still supporting GTA Online, an older title I may add, with major content updates.

How they will navigate turning off GTA Online while pushing people to buy GTA6 and not playing GTAO, will be fun to see.
Every player who chooses GTA6 over GTAO is lost revenue over a time frame.

Unless, GTA6 is so boring and slop-a-licious like RDR2, that people buy it, play for a week and then move on.

It's understandable though. Red Dead just made no money from microtransactions. First it was way too easy to get gold, via the day objectives and the streak, where you had to do objectives for 30 days and then you got the maximum gold (3 gold per objectives i think?) forever and ever. When Rockstar nerfed it to hell (.2 gold per objective, .5 after 2 weeks, total reset after 30 days so you're back at .2) that came way too late, the damage, so to speak, was already done and there just wasn't anything to buy. How many horses do you need? It's not as attractive as a car collection with different car classes. not a lot of weapons either and they never got around to houses you could buy. It's actually hilarious that considering how insanely greedy Take2 is and that they are the grand masters of milking a player base to oblivion (see NBA 2K which is a hundred times worse than GTA Online) they completely screwed up with RDO.

Then again, they completely screwed up RDO right from the start with the gameplay. People wanted to be farmers, ranchers, wanted to run gangs properly, wanted to rob banks and trains. instead all we got was the same old retarded fetch quests and the same old business stuff, where you technically own something, but you have to do all the work yourself, fetching ingredients, delivering shit with a dumb time limit. It literally was just a bare bones GTA Online set in the "wild west" without featuring any actual wild west stuff outside of the bounties, because dragging dead animals around so the drunk asshole at your shitty homeless camp can produce something just isn't fun.

Can you explain that logic? If they bought stuff from GTAO, R* has already got their money. Maybe newer players may be hesitant to buy stuff for an older game.

I would prefer if GTA6's online world would be barebones, as GTA Online turned into an open world quasi-military, futuristic anarchy state. That's actually why I liked RDO for its simpler setting despite its unforgiving blind learning curve.
