Unironically I do feel bad killing pests like Mice in my home. But they also don't belong in my home. Me feeling like its a shame for killing them is not a viable argument against me doing so. One that has a Saute or Sear function is also a plus. Sear or saute the vegetables and the meat before adding broth and turning it to slow cook for extra good flavor.
