Bikes are already dangerous, so why do these retards have to make them even more dangerous for normal bicyclists by making drivers more likely to ram them out of spite? Save your wagebucks and move to the Netherlands, or talk to congress about bike lanes, not the internet.
I just awoke and read that as "blacks are already dangerous."

I'm surprised none of them complained about the dirt in the bike lane. The reason why that's there is because the dividers stop the street sweepers from driving down the bike lane, so they never get cleaned.

"They need tire spikes on the sides of those facing the cars"
Wanna swerve to avoid a child or cat darting across the road? Get hit and forced into the bike line in a minor collision? Emergency vehicles need immediate access to the curbside or buildings on the street? Tough luck, enjoy those shredded tires!

More proof that these retards are just selfish psychos who don't want to give a quarter to anyone else but their fellow bike cultists.

Any time you almost see the gears start to turn in their head, but they're too selfish to concede.

You could propose the question, "would you agree someone should stay off the railroad tracks"

"Yes"

"Should pedestrians be restricted from walking in the bike lane"

"Yes"

"So if that's the case you acknowledge that certain infrastructure is designed for a specific purpose and impeding its function is wrong"

"That makes sense to me"

"Then you should stay off the road"

Wow how shocking, he and his wife only use these bikes because they're powered. I was going to say that e-bikes have allowed a population explosion among smug urbanists because now even the fat and weak ones can ride around, but maybe the number of people killed in apartment fires due to Chinese e-bike batteries exploding evens it out. Either way it's time to regulate and license them solely to piss off these 'more government, please' types.

Note that not only does the Australian NOT live near the stadiums, the Melbourne stadiums are surrounded by a river, massive rail lines, and a park; i.e. NOT people's homes.
For full context there is a large tram stop, large interchange train station(Richmond) which has all the trains for the south and most of the east, a smaller station(Jolimont) with trains to the north, major road(Punt rd) for buses and cars, and trains+Trams running frequent shuttles into the CBD where there are plenty of multi story carparks and restaurants.

Plus loads of staff guiding and managing people in and out, in an area that has been a large sports area since the 30's and held the Olympics in the 50's.

Because it's so connected the more American style suburban grounds like Waverly Park ended up with a rep for car park congestion(amongst other political things lol) and so were seen as lower quality and ended up being demoted to second tier venues for practice games and other things in VIC

Using the MCG as an example compared with American Suburban venues, that have a much higher population around them is just silly, I'm pretty sure most American big college games are bigger than the average stadium in AU lol

Just glancing at the list about half of them are college football stadiums at the top. That means around 50,000 to 70,000 people are traveling once a week to a game. Students usually get free or reduced tickets, but almost everyone is traveling from outside the city. The University of Georgia which I am most familiar with is a student population of around 40k with the city population being around 130k. It's a small place with a big school in the middle of nowhere. It's about an hour drive from Atlanta. Mercedes-Benz which is in downtown Atlanta holds about 70k people for context.

The reason why the sand is even there is because it's that time of the year when hard freezes hit Dallas and they put sand on the roadways to prevent them from becoming ice slicks, and road bicycles have even less traction than car tires do. No helmets + ice means that sooner or later you WILL go from The Bike That Couldn't Slow Down to traumatic brain injury.

By the way, I'm reminded that one of the most liberal, left-wing people I know either briefly worked in a hospital in Massachusetts (in her days at Yale) or had a friend who worked there during that time (I think it was the latter), and saw people regularly with life-altering brain injuries from not wearing helmets.

I live in one of those top ten stadiums (college). There are several parking garages there and despite high ticket prices doesn't dissuade people from going. Of course, that's still a lot of people in that area, so much so that the police reconfigure every road in a four mile radius to handle outbound traffic. And yes, there are shuttles from off-site locations.

I think the other problem that has been addressed here is that urbanists literally ask "oh, so it's okay if you park 20 minutes away from the gates, why do you not want to park 20 minutes away from your house?" just like why you don't want to live your life in a motel room.

The State of Hawaii implemented a rail tax in 2007 to subsidize funding for what is now Skyline, and was said to be only for 20 years, but they changed their mind, and the tax could go on for another 20 more years. / Archive

And since Skyline will NEVER make a profit due to its dismal ridership, barring some major catastrophe that destroys all of the cars in the Island, and even that may not be enough, residents will keep on getting fleeced to pay for this ill-decided rail project that is buried with so much corruption and mismanagement that will make the eyeballs of DOGE members fly out of their sockets, literally. And yet the anti-cars crowd will continue to Simp for these transportation projects that make burning cash in a fireplace more useful.

On stupid rail projects. I'm not a California resident any more, but I still have friends there and I'm hopeful that the new Nazi Regime in Washington will be looking closely at their $100 billion(plus likely much more) train to nowhere and then doing something about it.

I mean really, how the fuck do you not get a high speed train between fucking Merced and Bakersfield in 25 years, the bond was approved by idiot voters in 2008. It's 164 miles. You could upgrade the airports in every city on that route and had enough left over to start an airline and it would still have been cheaper and faster.

Recently came across a LinkedIn post about how close German cities are to the 15 Minute City ideal, and I was a bit confused. In my city, and practically any city in Germany, you can already reach anything you need within 15 minutes on foot, bike, or public transport. I've lived in a village of 10k, city of 100k, 200k, and 1.5M, it was like that everywhere. But apparently, to reach the Parisian Ideal of 15 Minute City, something is missing? The LinkedIn post didn't describe it, just linked to a white paper by an urbanist faggot institute, and refused to give actual answers, and to download the paper you had to give them name and mail address. So I sure won't find out because I ain't contacting those poofs.
My guess is that all those German cities don't count as 15 Minute Cities despite everything being easily reachable by non-car-means within 15 minutes is because you can also reach everything in 15 minutes by car. They don't restrict cars enough. But they don't like to openly state state that.

That's the worst example they could have chosen lol
Gardening is a good way to "keep in tune with nature" like they all love and to grow your own fresh vegetable if you're good, you can even have one or two chicken with enough space without owning a 1000 yards land.
I swear they are the concept of cliché in human form.

I also want to point that in-house garden are costly in money and resources, often using polluting parts to make it work.
(This is the same for hydroponics in mass production size, an interesting yet complex challenge to overcome).

You can garden on your balcony and take an expensive shuttle to go hiking:
If the area is served be a shuttle, there needed to be enough ridership to justify the route. As such, this is what hiking will look like:

College is the best years of your life because it's when you first have independence and a lower degree of responsibility.

Wanna skip class? No problem
Wanna sleep in? Schedule class in the afternoon.
Not doing well? Just drop the class.

As to the commie crap about organizing against bosses:
On the other hand, the Soviet state is a workers’ organization which has at its disposal all the material instruments of compulsion. Being a proletarian dictatorship, the Soviet state is a lever of economic revolution. Therefore, there can be no possibility of any opposition between the trade unions and the organs of Soviet power.
Now that the boss are the "people", there is no need for organized labor as you would just be organizing against your fellow comrade.

You don't want to be convicted of treason do you?

If you live in the pod, think about how much land will be left for nature preserves and country estates for the rich:
If outdoor space isn't a desired commodity, why do people buy houses with yards then?

They can just stick to condos but they don't.

This is trickery is similar to how they suggest making it more expensive and and stressful to drive makes will eventually make it easier to drive.

Such a proposal benefits the rich as they can pay the fees or those who drive for recreation. The 9-5 worker is going to be fucked.

I have a weird idea that some people are pushing urbanism and anti-car attitudes so that their are less commoners living next to them or their are less soccer moms / commuters slowing down their cruising in there (luxury / super cars).

It really just boils down to urbanists having no idea about logistics. City life insulates them from basic transportation requirements like stacking errands or carrying and storing groceries for more than a few days. Roads by design can handle as much throughput as you can physically fill with cars, trains/trams require constant stops and or diversions just to handle more densely packed but infrequent loads. They really hate sports because it's an actual active community and exposes them for the jealous lonely lovers they are.
Ebikes are easy as piss to diy, they technically fall under motorbike licensing in the UK but nobody enforces it.
Just remember that the e stands for evading regulations. Uber existed to evade taxi regulations, Airbnb exists to evade renting and hotel regulations. eBikes evade moped and scooter regulations.

If outdoor space isn't a desired commodity, why do people buy houses with yards then?
They know it's desirable, they just don't want you to have it. They are spiteful little goblins over anything else.

It's the weather's fault why no one is protesting:
Perma-maskers should be outlawed at this point. They're in a state of perpetual seething that 99% of the population abandoned them (as such, even in the bluest of areas they're rare) and all the anti-mask laws that existed (because of the Klan) should be enforced.
