LMAO, shutting down the government would only improve everyone's lives and the only ones willing to do it are the worthless paper pushers, not the people who actually make the bacon. So that is NEVER going to happen and why public service unions are such a joke.

From where do you arrive at the assumption any future democrat administration will want to, or even have the political capital to rehire these people? The last three presidential elections have been clear, when the democrats can't cheat the republicans win. The DNC is currently in shambles, one of its latest chairs has just been caught funneling donor money into his own pockets. No one inside the party seems all that concerned about learning from the mistakes of the past decade plus. Hell, even a sizable portion of the voter base wants Harris to run again. Nothing about time between election night, and now has shown that the DNC is capable of achieving wins on the national stage. At best they are flailing about hoping random judges can stymie the Trumpian steamroller. That isn't going to work for the next two years, let alone four. Trump has been in office for barely a month, and he has already dealt the federal bureaucracy a likely fatal blow. Any future winning DNC will not be like the current party. Such a party would be wise to say that Trump's cuts to the bureaucracy were not only wise, but necessary.

I will never celebrate people losing their jobs. I have a job and live paycheck to paycheck. My kids would lose schooling and food. The US government is already funded by fake and gay money, I don't really care if government employees aren't efficient by Elon's standards.
That all being said, crying on the platform of the guy firing you is unbelievably gay and stupid. I don't understand why these people don't brush up their resumes and take the opportunity to strengthen their union. How many houses did we just see on the zillow map for DC? If the dude doesn't like his commute, there are alternatives. I'm not sure that the employee who cannot conceive of a viable alternative to a four hour commute has the brain-power to be running our government in an efficient and effective manner.

While I understand the sentiment, alot of these people were the same authoritarian bootlickers who were more then happen to close down small business and cheer on the loss of the unvaccinated because of the sniffles.

I'm not losing anything by posting in this thread other than my time. I'm not a conservative. I'm not giving money to grifters (unless you just count the concept of paying taxes).
I am saying that if you're friends with people who are happy to cheer on the demise of others, then they probably are not good friends. If you think a bunch of government workers losing their jobs is "winning" beyond laughing at redditors, then I hate to remind you of the golden rule:
Nothing ever happens.
All that will come from Elon's purge is a bunch of workers, whether or not you like them, will be out of work. Plenty will find other jobs, even the "inefficient" ones. The numbers on graphs will go up and down and every analyst will explain "why that's a good/bad thing." None of the savings from these firings will be given to you. You will still pay more taxes. You will still have trannies wandering around, even after executive orders. You will still have ads in your car. You will still have high cost of living.

it always both annoys me and simultaneously humors me when they do these childish things, it gives off the exact same feeling as hearing an actual teenager try and be all celever and passive aggressive

Allot of creations and technology the tech entrepreneurs base off of are the results of grants and collaboration with existing federal institutions. If you don't think we have top notch scientists you haven't been paying attention.

That said can't wait to see if they actually go after DoD. Should be insane if they follow through. Can't wait to see what bullshit they've created and experimented on.
