"Mad at the Internet" - a/k/a My Psychotherapy Sessions

It looks like an off brand outdoors clothing logo that you'd find at Gabe's (formerly Gabriel Brothers)
I get what you're saying, but I also appreciate this review from the A&N thread:
I definitely like it a lot more than the generic state seal on a solid color background. Turquoise, forest green, and white is a really eye-pleasing color combination, it's simplistic enough to be reproduced, and it's distinct enough to be recognizable from a distance. And there's a W for Washington built into the mountaintops, which is pretty neat.
Especially about the hidden W.

For me personally, it looks too clean for a government flag, but I don't really know much about flags.

The pessimistic outlook I can't help is "let's get rid of this old racist white founding father guy off our flag". Instead of the star it should be GW's face in ultra realism art style. You should be able to see his pores

The state of Washington wants to change its current flag. This is the current redesign proposal:

I would appreciate a review of this design on MATI, because I really like Null's flag sperging.
Good video (1hr 30mins long) by Premodernist politely shitting on Reddit nu-vexillologists who want to turn every state seal on field flag into just another fantasy/sci-fi flag.

True story, a big chunk of Washington's road signs have a silhouette of Washington's head:

I'm not even from Washington, but I'd be pissed if they tried to change this.

Somebody who knows more, explain this mercury shit to me and the lurkers. From what I'm gathering, there's a baseline amount of mercury in all fish you'd consume in the ocean because of pollution, even though mercury is a rare element that's difficult to extract and process from cinnabar? And you shouldn't eat too much fish because mercury builds up in your system and you can't process it out of your body like most other toxic substances?

Wouldn't any amount of mercury really not be worth it since you can never clear your "mercury debt"? Or is it coming from the canning/preserving process, or what? Or is it all blown out of proportion by environmental retards?

To be clear, I just try not to think about it and eat tuna sandwiches/sushi whenever I feel like it, if anything Mad Hatter Disease might just even me out. But this thread for parasocial podcast listeners on a gossip forum about following retards on the iNTERNET seems like the best place to ask about the facts of mercury poisoning.

I did a Google search and apparently Mercury can be purged from your body, but at a slower rate than other materials. One source said it could take several years, which doesn't sound right or else people with heavy fish diets like the Koreans and Japanese would be dying in droves from metals poisoning.

This is great. Thanks for sharing. I'm actually going to call my state representative today; looks like some people in local government are proposing to change the flag to some Reddit-tier design and I'm prepared to go scorched earth to prevent them.

I have eaten my Beach Cliff sardines in mustard sauce.

The mustard sauce added no flavor, which is strange. You'd expects something literally tinned in mustard, visibly yellow, would taste like mustard, but no.

Sardine flavor is not the best. It is mildly fishy but it doesn't have a very strong taste either.

What I did really like about this brand is that there are no bones?? I thought every tin of sardines had bones. The biting into bones thing was why I never tried sardines twice. The tin doesn't even advertise itself as boneless. I am very confused.

If you like sardines try out the smoked mackerel. King Oscar sells them boneless and skinless and it tastes just as good if not better than tuna, imo. Edit: nevermind you did, should've read the thread

Do you drink the sardine juice or save it for later for pickling?

If it says filets on the can it will have few or no bones, the ones that say whole sardines will have the backbones.

On the Mercury thing, it is the one legitimate downside of coal fired powerplants, there are tiny amounts of mercury in the coal that is vaporized when it burns. large predatory fish will have the most, if you eat loads of tuna, shark or swordfish there is some risk of mercury poisoning. Things like mackerel and sardines pretty much have no risk. It bioaccumulates as you go up the food chain.

As an Amerimutt who never tried deenz until my 20s, I usually just try to not look at and instead think about the health benefits of consuming the tiny fish bones while eating them. I even usually buy from "higher end" brands, but, still, the fish look unpleasant if you dissect them with your fork. 3/10 do not recommend, but 11/10 health bennies.

I went to the store and I bought every single tin of every seafood thing I could find. Most interested in trying the herring and sardines in mustard sauce. I'm sure the tinned salmon and crab is good.
Pickled herring is good. I like it with crackers, occasionally I'll add mustard. Specifically the wine sauce variant. Starts out tart, goes sweet. Very tasty.
