My understanding, and correct me if I'm wrong, is that DNA is amplified for microarrays so epigenetic modifications are lost.
I'd find it fucking hilarious if it her "super rare obesity gene" was massively downregulated (in English, made so that much less of the protein the gene encodes for is made) by such a modification. This is assuming the gene she has a VUS in isn't so essential that obvious other problems would be caused by downregulation. But I'm kinda doubting that because I'd assume the significance of variants in genes coding for essential functions are going to be pretty well known, but then I'd also guess genes included in microarrays were pretty important. No idea how they choose what gets on those, if its some random GWAS then they could have have all sorts of bullshit on there.
Basically, what I'm saying is that there are little switches on DNA that can turn a gene on or off so I'm hypothesising that it could be possible Anna's treasured VUS does nothing even harder than we already suspect. I'm not sure because I know about this from much simpler systems, don't do human, but they can make a massive difference in, e.g. how your immune system responds to a bug- such modifications in Salmonella turn an enteric fever into typhoid for example. Afaik DNA used in gene panels such as Anna's lose the information about these switches when prepared for analysis, and the panel wouldn't pick it up even if it wasn't lost.

that said, the sadist in me has been enjoying this arc. I love when people watching her go on little specialty spergs , I learn so many little tidbits that will surely save the team on some future trivia night. My favorite was the user who recognized the 10x patient gown.

It was actually Toni Lamond that bought this practice into the light in Australia. She was regular performer on Australian nightime live TV shows. If she had not have spoken up, I suspect this practice would have continued for much longer, as the general public had no clue this was happening until she spoke out on one of the highest rated TV shows in Australia.
Who does Anna think she’s kidding. The underarm incision is not some new technique for brachioplasty, is common practice and definitely not developed by a recently qualified plastic surgeon. The only thing he does differently is use twilight sedation on fat fucks. Those results are not going to look great from the snapshot I saw of him doing his marking out. Also there’s very little benefit of having a scar that’s invisible when your arms are locked by your side. At sometime you’ll have to move them, so unless in 3/4 sleeves, those scars will be visible to everyone. What an absolute dunce she is, not just to fall for this line, but to repeat it to encourage others to go for it. I guess that part of her sponsorship contract. Does she really think that older plastic surgeons don’t keep up with the times? They are the ones that can study other techniques and either adopt them, or call them out for being unnecessary or dangerous. When I had plastic surgery I went with an old bastard, that had younger assistants. I wanted the decades of knowledge and experience in that OR. I certainly didn’t want a newly qualified, youngest in his graduating college …aka arrogant because he had to tell me that…green plastic surgeon. And another thing, I definitely wanted the surgery done under a general anaesthetic, and for drains to be used to move the fluid out of the surgical site quickly.

Question for the med-fags: can she do a similar operation on her legs? Or would she need more lipo first before leg skin removal surgery?

Short answer is yes. You can definitely get skin removal on upper legs and calves. You don’t NEED to have lipo at all. Lipo is generally just used to get a smoother contour. Snake oil plastic surgeons will try anything. Proof being Gender Reassignment Surgery.
She has said since this surgery that she has more surgeries planned with the plastic surgeon. My guess is that in the near future she’ll be getting a plus sized panniculectomy or abdominoplasty.

This is someone who lost weight, got skin removal, then gained it all back and then some. These overinflated sausage arms are Anna’s future since she won’t stop overeating.

I’m only commenting again since it’s relevant: she told me she only has one more surgery to go. She did not say what or when so if she’s implying she is having multiple surgeries still, it’s because she is being scammed by the Dr.
Feb 5th, she said and I quote: “just one more surgery to go”

Yeah it is for the generic arrays and that’s a very good point - just looking at sequence doesn’t say 100% the gene is working ok. There are DNAm arrays now like the illuminate infinium ones that look at the epigenome as well. She hasn’t had one of those done.
I do think you could argue that these people must have something going wrong biologically to end up that size. It’s not like the regular obesity level that’s just caused by western living without restraint.

I think they dislike it because they think psych drugs in particular mess with your thetans and whatnot. I should really know the answer because I've been to the Psychiatry: An Industry of Death Museum in LA but I was spending too much time laughing at all the exhibits (if you're ever in LA I highly recommend, free entry and they have parking!)
This is post op and she's just snoozing in a chair in recovery, the surgery is over no need for drapes.
