Probably to spend it for himself, but even then since he says that he hasn't got the time to spend that money, it doesn't make much sense.

Wouldn't it be actually easier and more relaxed for him if he hires a professional team of volunteers while all he needs to do is just check through their stuff and maybe add some details, instead of just making videos complaining about zero progress on Osana? He could just hire 1-2 professional coders and 1-2 graphic designers for the game.

Bolded because he'd never do this for one reason; if he had four or five other people working on it before a polished demo was released he couldn't claim it was primarily a one man job.
Possibly :autism: example but I honestly think he wants to be Toby Fox, a game dev who did a ton of the work himself and had his name front and center of every aspect of Undertale with the other developers, while being adequately credited, taking a back seat in the fame department compared to Toby. Alex dreams of being able to release a game that has "Yandere Simulator/Lovesick BY ALEX MAHAN" and if he got other devs in before the polished demo was released, he couldn't claim he did it all himself and the others would want prominent crediting too.
It's all an ego trip and cash grab, he wants to be Toby Fox and not share any glory or wealth, at this point its fair to say he'll never get paid help before this game implodes under its own spaghetti (assuming this hasn't already happened of course)

Someone needs to make a third video taking the footage of the stream where he admits this then showing the patreon listings lel. And maybe some accounts of volunteers complaining about not being paid or not being paid enough or something. It would be perfect.

he can use the "they're just volunteers" card all he wants, but considering the amount of work that they've done to produce a game, only for him to get all the credit, i would think that from a moral standpoint, most people would want to pay said volunteers. especially when he lives at home and thus has no bills to pay.

His dumbass fanbase still doesn't get it. He's earning $5000 a month, plus whatever standalone donations I'm sure he's getting, plus the ad revenue from his Youtube videos, and he intends to launch a Kickstarter and he wants to have a commercial release. He has no job and lives with his parents. He has access to resources that 99% of indie developers would commit murder for.

There really are no excuses for this slow, shitty pace of development, even if he can't code.

YandereDev is threatening me with a video about the KF because of his thread. I emailed him an offer to clear up rumors and his association with Samuel Collingwood Smith in exchange for a copy of his mailing list and he got real fucking bent out of shape about it.
