Scrolling through the Button man's comment and you see that Phil is still seen as the negative peace of shit he always was. Yes some agree that if others had said the same they would probably be more respected for it. but that is Phil's own fault. when you decide to be a toxic peace of shit don't make a suprise Pikachu face when you get treated like a toxic peace of shit. Phil is the easiest person to read on the planet. All you have to do is suck him off and call him king first and you can easily get his attention. He doesnt understand sarcasm or satire at all. "Hey Phil you're an amazing content creator and I love watching your playthroughs but I'm getting messages from some people who said you're a tard" would easily set him off. Its why the ppp approach to milking him worked and keemstar's approach didn't. As long as you glaze him he can't recognize if you're doing it in a joking manner or not.

I agree that it's more about the timing and less about the money amount. I think it's become less common now, but in the Twitch days people used to throw a few cents whenever they'd get free bits or whatever and post the usual "Khet is a horse" style messages that just got the lean in ban treatment and, at best, bristled DSP.

But there were a lot of stealth trolls who could get a rise out of DSP by just posting in chat, no money attachment whatsoever. I think it's easier than ever given that Phil's chat is pretty dead, so messages stay on the screen longer. Even if Phil is actually in a rare moment of fumbling through a game and trying to figure out basic controls, there's a chance he'll see the message. Attaching money to it is pointless and some of the better gold dust moments have just been stealth trolls pretending to be fans in Phil's chat and getting him riled up when they see that Phil is in a manic mood. IMO, it's still better to let Phil be his own worst detractor, but if you absolutely need to go cow tipping, you can absolutely do it without also giving him money.

I just think it's hilarious that he was just crying that people think he's a piece of shit then turns to being a piece of shit immediately after.

Phil is old school in his mentality of mental illness = bad. It's why he said how he wouldn't get checked for autism he's an adult. He has very weird boomer takes on a lot of things. I don't think he can disconnect from that feeling to ever own up to having one.

I think it's why he leans on non-mental illness related things that he can blame on others, that I do not think are real, like gout (hereditary) and bad back/neck (I got in an accident or something).

We all know he's suffering from some form of autism-like shit, he's a narcissist, disconnected from reality from being a shut-in, and likely has any arrangement of health issues (diabetes, weakness due to muscle atrophy, etc).

He was the one who unironically said that his best viewed content last year was not drama related (going on Kino to laugh at lolcows, reacting to RTU's documentary with Kino). I would love how to hear how those are not drama.
