Imma stop you right there, notice the 90% of "the most advanced chips". The dirty secret nobody really wants to talk about is that we don't actually NEED these "most advanced chips" and could go on for years on "five year old tech" if we had too.

We bring the old tech in-house, and build on that. No need to bring the latest infinitely expensive super small shit over.

You're just as dead hit by a cruise missile with 1980s computer chips as you are if hit by the NipToaster9000™ from 1945. The most advanced chips are mainly for AI sperging and iPhones anyway.
Nobody serious gives a shit about the "cutting edge" from the past century or even decade. If you want to keep up in the global economy, you need the best of today. Personally, I always subscribed to the Red Queen hypothesis/effect in economics. It takes all the running you can do, to keep in the same place.

No idea what they are so upset about. Their signs say "Free Palestine". It was free, So Trump took it. :)
I always say that if maybe people didn't keep saying, "Free Palestine" then Israel wouldn't keep trying to take it. They should try saying, "Expensive Palestine".
I think it comes down to reclusiveness. Something like Skywalker Ranch was built as a way to escape people. Extroverts like Musk are content to live in hotels and deal with people constantly. Plus a guy who is traveling constantly has little need to be at home, whereas a guy collecting rents is free to stay home.
I used to work with a minor B level celebrity singer who briefly "dated" the real George Lucas. She told me actually George was extremely nice but Skywalker ranch creeped the fuck out of her. She said he'd take her there and it freaked her out that the whole thing is like it's own inclusive little city. They even have their own hospital and post office. She said he liked the employees of lucasfilm to have as little outside contact as possible and for everyone to live within this little skywalker city he crafted. She told me she dated him in the late 90s so this was before the whole Disney buying Star Wars thing. Not sure if it's still like that.

But as a person she said he was very nice. She told me she broke it off because between her constantly getting this weird off feeling - like "stepford wives" vibe off Skywalker ranch and just being uncomfortable being around that whole thing she just couldn't do it. She told me though that he's so nice that when Phantom Menace came out he invited her to his premiere. She told him that she couldn't accept because she was in a serious relationship with someone now and she told me that instead he sent two invitations and told her to bring him to the premiere with her.
My dad was there when the wall fell. As in fucking Germany. Bro, people defending East Germany don't know what was behind that wall. People were demolishing that fucker with sledgehammers on both sides, they wanted fucking out.
A buddy of mine in West Berlin still bemoans the falling of the wall and it being the beginning of the fall of Germany's economy. He told me instantly west Germany was flooded with tons of cheap labor - people who basically never had anything so they were willing to work for slightly more than nothing because to them it was a huge step up. And they displaced a lot of west german jobs. No different than what we deal with in America with the mexicans.

I love the faces people make when you tell them you don't like getting shit faced around strangers, or even enjoy partying in general
I never party (had two older brothers who died from drug overdoses) and it was a real hindrance to getting accepted to the "inner circle" of the top session musicians in NYC. Most of them were really suspicious of me. These are people who party from the minute they wake up. Eventually it was Will Lee, the bassist, who helped me out by telling me that when people start passing around party favors, instead of telling people that I don't party, to tell them that I had a really bad time with that shit and I'm in recovery at the moment. He told me that instead of being suspicious, they'll respect me instead because they'll think I partied even harder than they do and they'll back off. And wouldn't you know it - once I did that, I fucking took off and got accepted instantly. Fucked up, but that's how it is.

It also helps that I had two brothers who were hardcore addicts (one brother with heroin, the other with cocaine) so I grew up in the middle of endless chaos and as such I had an endless amount of stories of legitimate drug benders that I could just claim as my own. So that helped the illusion.
Suicide passes pain onto the loved ones of the one who commited it. It's just making your issues someone else's problem.

Inb4: Euthanasia alleviates pain, so all suicide is cool bro
Dude, they were song lyrics

Yes. The Big Lebowski literally opens with news footage from the era in order to set the period of the film. So The Dude is just repeating some stuff he saw on television.

You will now rewatch The Big Lebowski and the entirety of the Coen brothers filmography.
Actually that's the charm of Big Lebowski. Because as a person, the dude is constantly watching everything around him and he ends up repeating a lot of shit that goes on in the background. It's only on multiple repeated viewings when you really know the film, that you start noticing stuff. Like how he repeats "this will not stand" or that that crazy dream he has with the scissors is because Maude's apartment is heavily decorated with scissors and so subliminally they implanted themselves. It's why it's so much fun to rewatch.
I'm curious if you guys are experiencing the same thing I am, or if this is a more anecdotal experience for me.

Ever since the inauguration, anyone I know who is remotely left leaning has turned a complete fucking politisperg. It was slow at first, maybe a comment every few days through January. Now it's reaching a fever pitch. Multiple times a day they have to sperg and rant about how much they hate dumpf.

This is across multiple unrelated social circles, both professional and personal. In all these groups there was always an understanding (or so I thought) that there are people with different politics and we should be respectful of that. The last four years the conservatives have remained cordial, but barely a month into Trump's term and the libshits across the board have turned into giant raging cunts. Constant whining, constant overt jabs at the other side (knowing they are present), and just being insufferably whiny.

I'm all ready at my ropes end with some of these fuckers, I'm about ready to go nuclear and start cutting people off if they can't even attempt to maintain a modicum of the decorum we did for them.

I just wanna know if anyone else is experiencing this, because it seems like it's not an isolated incident even in my personal life.
You're not alone. Some chick, a boomer singer I'm friends with that NEVER posts on facebook, ever (and I wasn't even aware of her politics) literally posts about 15-20 posts A DAY on facebook screaming about Trump and Elon. And it's some of the most retarded shit ever. Like she posts red colored KKK hoods with the words "make america great again" on them. I haven't worked with her in years and I'm grateful because watching her sperg every single day (and I'm not exaggerating - it's all fucking day long on facebook with her, one giant REEEEEEEEE since inauguration) I can't even look her in the face anymore. I was wondering if something just broke inside her.

God of Noam Chomp on a dick is on that list, it will be so fucking great seeing one of the biggest liberal thinkers being exposed as a creep.
I love how Noam lost his shit when it was released that he had made huge payments to Epstein. When asked he started sperging and screaming at people that it was "none of your fucking business". This fucker is knee deep in it.
Pfft, nigga I was IN Academia. Anyone who thinks doctors, scientists and teachers are morally infallible is an absolute retard tier nigger faggot. The problem with those people is they have no idea how stupid the average doctor, scientist, teacher, etc. is. People wonder why I have no respect for PhDs, because the reality is most people with PhDs are just same flavors of retarded as everyone else. If you ever spent time in Academia, you'll realize the best of PhDs are autistic tier retards. The rest? They're either min maxed and can tell you all about how this new engine works but God forbid you ask them basic economics, they're no smarter than your average redditor.
Like they say, "You know what they call the guy who graduates at the bottom of his class in med school? Doctor."
Yeah in my experience, FedEx is worse than USPS. However the worst by far is DHL. I get a package delivered by DHL and it ends up being a rigamarole every time. That German autism really shows when working with them.

But yeah USPS is decent until you are missing a package. You can file a report but it’s as good as gone. If you have something of actual value, UPS is the only option I trust.
I ordered a dress shirt from New Zealand on Jan 15th. And according to DHL, it was "delivered" to Mexico on Jan 28th and I haven't heard anything since. Like a week ago I finally lost my shit on the store I bought it from and they two day UPS'd me a new one.

As far as USPS, I shipped something to Romania and it arrived destroyed. I had paid for insurance. So I called USPS with photographic evidence of my destroyed package from the buyer, to get my insurance money. USPS told me that they needed to conduct an investigation. A week later I got a letter from the post office telling me that, in their opinion, Romania is corrupt as fuck and it's probably the Romanians who broke it so they're not paying for it. Lol I'm not even fucking joking, that was pretty much the letter they sent me. I had to reach out to the buyer and tell him I couldn't get the insurance money because my post office told me his country is corrupt so it's their fault. So I ended up refunding him half and we both ate the loss. But I've never shipped internationally again with USPS.
How are the weebs dealing with how much the Japanese seem to like Trump? Like I'm not following approval ratings there or anything, but there seems to be at least widespread respect for the guy, and he definitely has at least a small dedicated Japanese fan base. Like that guy who draws Trump in traditional Japanese style:

Asians in general always have the best takes lol. Anyone remember this Chauvin / Floyd take by the Chinese? It was all over weibo.

Demon Hunter Floyd.jpg
My Chinese is a tad rusty but just looking at it right now without checking my dictionary, it says "King of the Demon Hunters" on the top in the big title. The text on the left says stuff like, "Injustice" and "Wrongly imprisoned". On the right it says shit like, "Defeat the black plague"

Once you understand that these people think they can outwit GOD, it becomes obvious that they'd think they are able to control whatever golem they manifest, whether it be the COVID situation, the economy, the Afghanistan withdrawal, and so on. Whenever one scheme fails, it is inevitable that the next Jew will smugly say to himself, "Ah, but I'm so much smarter than Schlomo and GOD, surely I can make it work!"
I remember someone saying something like, "Jews are the same people who think they can outsmart God by having appliances that turn themselves on, on Saturdays, and use plastic switches" or some shit like that.

Mainly in New York, in the 80’s, even

I don’t even like driving through New York. Its oppressive. The air quality isn’t that bad, but all those fucking huge tower blocks make you feel like you can’t breathe. It’s claustrophobia inducing.

No other city in America feels like that. You always see the pic of the Manhattan skyline as seen from across the river in New Jersey.

All of Boston proper could fit snugly inside of Central Park

I mean, I was born and grew up in the thick of it, in Queens so I don't notice, but I had a German friend once tell me that he was having panic attacks watching me fit my car in a space that didn't even have room to walk between the bumpers once parked, and I did it like it was nothing. He was like, "I don't know how people live like this" and I was like, "Live like what?" lol

Honestly, she was a cunt and the half. And apparently she had a PR team that were like fucking pitbulls that went after anyone with a vengeance that even attempted to out her. They were ruthless in ensuring that somehow she was always perceived as America's sweetest grandmother or some bullshit. But there are tons of stories about what a nasty piece of shit she was and very abusive to her costars. I know Bea Arthur, who didn't bow to anyone, came out and said Betty White was a cunt.

Sorry for some of the old quotes. I've had a ton of stuff sitting in "quote+" to respond to and I haven't had time to post lately. Just read highlights and give stickers quickly.

by tomorrow we could have dissolved nato and entered into a Molotov–Rubio Pact of friendship and peace
If that gets rids of the poles, it might actually be worthwhile.
I’m struggling to understand how Zelensky isn’t relevant to US politics given the happenings of the past week.

Can you elaborate further? If Zelensky were to continue being an autist in a way that affects US policy or diplomacy shouldn’t that be on topic even if Trump doesn’t respond directly on X?
Zelensky is no more or less relevant than he has been the past three years. The fact that he got bullied by JD Vance changes very little. The posts must center more on US than Ukraine. Trump bullying any foreign leader on Truth Social is US politics (as basic as it is). Zelensky sperging about this and that to US media is hardly US politics.

That something may in some way touch on the very edge on US policy isn't necessarily on topic. By the opposite logic when the Baltics sperg about Russia, it would be on topic because Baltics are currently within US sphere and its leaders are aligned to the Democrat wordview. However, this train of logic is unworkable. By that view everything is on topic, because US forces it policy on most of the developed world. Germany is US vassal state that American government threatens with the stationed army whenever Germany rules contrary to US' wishes, and while the threat itself is obviously on topic, other happenings in Germany are, in general, not.

Previously I summarized my thoughts as
Stop talking about the fucking war here, unless Trump either:
a) sends more money over
b) finishes the war
c) backs out from the talks

or if Ukraine does something to affect the United States (tariffs, sanctions, [threatens] war, etc.)

That is largely still applicable, though if you want to discuss actual events (like that interview, that I am told is super important even though nothing happened) you can do so as long as you are prepared to bully anyone who attempts to turn it into a discussion about the war itself. If Zelensky spergs out about USA, I'd prefer you don't post it unless it is something new and interesting, and it affects USA in some important way.

For example, I've heard rumors that despite Zelensky saying he wants to sign the mineral deal with US, that he is looking for alternatives. That is very much on topic. It's both new, and it affects both US and it's financial and political situation.

Finally, if you think I misunderstood your comment/misapplied the threadban feel free to contact me.

My evidence is that he met with the democrats immediately before his White House meeting and willingly played water boy for them and globohomo inc. in an attempt to intentionally embarrass Trump.
Wasn't that debunked? (just for clarification, this is also on topic, clearly)
All the war talk that followed in the thread was drowning out anything new that was happening in US politics.
Indeed. That is the main issue.
Honey, Trump isn't the one picking fights with foreign leaders. THEY'RE picking fights with him because he won't do what they want him to. Read the room. Zalenskyy came into OUR home. Disrespected OUR leader, and suddenly it's Trump's fault? Nah. Fuck off with that.
Regardless, this sorta stuff is on topic, was my point.

Actually the larger issue is that even if you did return to monke future generations would inevitably strive for advancement. To ensure everlasting monke you would have to retard the species and kill the very human spirit Ted wanted to enshrine in the first place.

His entire philosophy is self-defeating
Woah waow yeah that's crazy idk lol but anyway Ted was right.

I’ll share my thoughts on the Zelensky suit debacle, from what I think it’s Trump’s POV. I won’t follow up on anything else and frankly I don’t give a fuck about the war.

Zelensky has been sporting a rugged “wartime” look ever since Putin invaded Ukraine. The first few weeks were a lot more theatrical, and you could tell the guy wasn’t sleeping, so it was much more believable.

However it’s been going on and Zelensky even showed up at Nortre Dame dressed like that. At its core, beyond if you support him or not or think it’s ridiculous, it’s Zelensky’s way of saying the war is still going on.

Trump obviously wanted to take credit for being the first guy whi forced Zelensky in a suit, but it was also symbolic. If Zelensky wears a suit, that means the war is over. Zelensky even said it himself. It’s also a new leaf—Trump is a peacemaker and wartime Zelensky is a relic of Biden’s era.

Zelensky fucked up with that message. Trump will likely force him to get a shave next time they meet, if ever.
So it really is like making Fatpacks put on the burgersuit and the peaceful relations the success of that brought.

Wasn't that debunked? (just for clarification, this is also on topic,
What I characterize as “met with democrats” included Lindsey Graham, officially. He was so pissed off after the White House meeting that he broke with globohomo and said he was proud of Trump.

But this same meeting had Chris Murphy come out after it and give his little speech to the press where he directly stated that he advised Zelensky not to sign anything that didn’t have security guarantees and that didn’t restore Ukraine’s lost territory.

That is the exact tact Zelensky took, so the “debunk” hinges on the fact that despite Zelensky meeting with democrats and taking their advice immediately afterwards, that dissenting republicans were also present at the meeting

Could you share some of those for me, please? Maybe Betty White had her moments, but I refuse to believe that she was just some spiteful person.

Do you have a source? I didn't know that was confirmed

I was dining on some tasty, tasty schadenfreude while watching this video until Adam Conover, a person who prides himself on being accurate & informed (contrarian), made the blunder of calling Project 2025 "Trump's manual." This is a person who has made a career of being the "well akshually" meme on TV and he didn't bother to even double-check Project 2025's origins. This IRL fact checker is just a PEZ dispenser of buzzword bullshit like every other breadtuber I've ever seen. How is it that an imbecile like him is still popular?

So it really is like making Fatpacks put on the burgersuit and the peaceful relations the success of that brought.
Trump should give a Golden Arches pin (real gold) to every major leader that visits the white house, insist they put it on on camera, and explain in a deadpan that it stands for the M in Maga.

Anyone who fails to crack a smile at the burger test or refuses to put the pin on at all gets an extra 5% Tariff for being joyless pricks.

Its tough when the big guy himself is ignoring board rules, did no one send trump your post? lmao sorry just poking a little fun, its such a wild environment things change from day to day by so much, by tomorrow we could have dissolved nato and entered into a Molotov–Rubio Pact of friendship and peace
To be fair he's got an easier job stopping Ukraine talk here than the mods at greatawakening.win have trying to stop discussions about chemtrails and flat earth like they are trying to do espcially when Trump tweets about them "spraying something".

Someone needs to tell them to come discuss it here!

Wasn't that debunked? (just for clarification, this is also on topic, clearly)
Do you have a source? I didn't know that was confirmed
Ben Shapiro (take him for whatever you consider he's worth) is stating affirmatively that Zelenskyy very likely met with Democrats before his meeting with Trump and that Zelenskyy wanted security guarantees going into the meeting.

He wore a suit to to the world economic forum.
