I still think it is a money laundering operation of kind, drug dealer do the same thing on EBay all the time, that is why you sometime see a broken PS3 going for five grand on that site.
Interesting. Never thought of that. You really think Caden would risk federal prison though? Mushroom laws are no joke, and he's most certainly being watched on thin ice having already been busted once for dealing and again for speeding. The cops probably follow him around for fun at this point.
OMG what if cops are the first to get good footage of flutter?? Lmao
It is such BS that more is known and documented about the life of mother-raping "Chris Chan", than is known about the life of Christ.
Like the early years of Christ are a mystery, and yet one can easily know that "Honor Roll" "just won" a sweepstakes for watching TV.
Yeah if only they had the Internet back then. Jesus would've probably had a pretty solid YouTube channel. Mostly Old Testament quotes and DIY carpentry tips, but still - back then that would have slapped.
He probably would have also warned of CWC being the antichrist in 2k+ years. Would have saved us a lot of headaches.
That gets repeated a lot, but it's simply not true. Not that it means that Chris current "art" is anywhere near good.
While Chris art is (and will always be) still vomit-inducing, back when he began Sonichu it was noticeably worse.
Yeah I noticed that too. He can actually draw a pretty decent electric hedgehog nowadays. You know, for a 10-year-old.
As I was perusing the Cwiki - in light of the odd things happening with the forums (including the purple color scheme wow my favorite color!) - I was noticing how ironic it was that right before or shortly after Chris became "famous on the internet', he started losing contact with key people in his life.
About a year before the first picture was taken in 2007, Chris lost contact with Cole over the father dispute about who Cole's real father was.
Shortly after he became "famous", he lost Megan's friendship.
He even was banned from the Game Place in 2008.
It's interesting because as I was reading one of the articles, it says Chris real acquaintances were replaced with trolls posing as boyfriend free girls.
Like someone's real life turning into a Sims life or a play or something.
The line between what's real and what's fantasy blurring.
I don't know about you, but maybe it's a good thing that he's offline for the most part.
chris and the internet have long been said to have been a mistake, and easily one of the biggest contributors to his downward spiral into lolcow history. But many people have correctly pointed out that even if CWC had never gone online, his descent into being a damaged, failed adult was inevitable. He would no doubt be in a very similar state that he is in today, mostly due to his inept parents not giving him the basic life skills and support the average autistic person needs. Online or offline, Chris is doomed.
I disagree. Usually the passing artist and value has 2 of 3 things, talent, being taken seriously in the art world, and make something impactful.
Warhol's art is basic but it's nice to look at but he made big connections with major art collectors and galleries. Same with pollock.
Then there's some that hit all 3, dali, Keith haring, Picasso, etc.
No one in the history of art, including the whole Dada variant of influence, will say anything from Chris is significant. It's an oddity at best.
Caden made alot of sales but so did a lot of forgotten franchises.
The art world is bizarre, and you're definitely right in saying that Chris is no real artist when compared to historical masters of the craft. However, I don't think his art would become famous or collectable because of his talent or connections, but more because it came from such a morbidly fascinating, tortured soul. I could see
The Oversized Drinking Straw Of Fail drawing alone being picked up by an art influencer/producer and being sold for very good money if it was put in the right gallery and pitched in the right way.
I mean just look at this turd by weirdo artist
Edvard Munch (who CWC has a lot in common with actually). It's equally as terrible as Chris' work and yet is considered a valuable part of his collection that would probably sell for decent money if it ever went to auction.
The difference being that Munch was a trained artist, where Chris is not. However,
many famous artists were self taught, and their art was often recognized for more than just the art itself. Many artists became famous because they were eccentric weirdos with bizarre reputations that challenged social norms.
If
Piero Manzoni can become a famous artist, so could Chris.
Honestly, I think he should lean into it and start producing more art, just in the off chance that he does die and become a notable figure in the weird art community.
