Hating cats usually boils down to the fact that those adorable furry retards can do some damage to your property and are meowing loud at night in spring/summer. My outdoor cats got me into conflict with my neighbors many times because of that.

It varies from one euro country to another and sometimes it's different within one country or it's up to the individuals, but generally it's done in business, while wishing someone happy birthday, congratulations and such, and it varies with friends and family who you haven't seen for a long time, or while saying goodbye to them (some might go for la bise or hug, all of that or nothing)

Also this is an old Victorian rule, but you must never extend your hand to a lady first. Let her initiate the handshake as a man. This is because if a woman was hosting a party as a debutante or simple hostess, every man would wish to shake hands with her and this would lead to sore arms, as some suitors would want to be “memorable” and give an extra squeeze, or be a tickler.

A major ick for me is a man who wants a strict 50/50 relationship or an "equal partnership"; I think men use this line of thinking to abdicate from their masculine duty to provide for their woman and push the relationship forward. Women are genuinely more physically and economically vulnerable than men in relationships (pregnancy, childrearing, general less intense drive to work, often suffer from menstrual-related chronic conditions like endometriosis and fibroids), and I want a man who knows that entering into a relationship with a woman is a great responsibility and not just a means to get sex, offspring + maid services. 50/50 is not fair to women in my opinion, is basically impossible as there will always be seasons of a relationship where one partner needs more support than the other, and fosters an individualistic mindset where your partner exists to serve your needs and the boundaries between the two of you are very strong, rather than facilitating an atmosphere where you can relax and be bound together in a shared moral universe where care-taking is of a higher value than strict equality.

A general lack of chivalry, protectiveness and a service mindset towards the vulnerable (women, kids, the very old, disabled people, etc.) is also a massive turn-off.

Atheism/secularism. Doesn't believe in God and doesn't pray. Not reading good literature is also a turn-off.

Lacking a strong moral vision and moral courage.

Is generally apathetic and listless about life.

Talks badly about the institution of marriage.

Is liberal or a tankie.

I don't think it boils down to "50/50" in the way the guys you're talking about see it, in the sense that for them its just an excuse to do less than whats "expected". You should be doing the most. You pick eachother up when you're down, you sacrifice for eachother, etc etc because you're a team. Me and my wife don't overthink it, we give our best effort to eachother and thats good enough. Rules, roles and stipulations get in the way of whats best practically for a given situation, and I dont wanna feel like I constantly have to live up to some standard that isn't me. If you can't be yourself and always feel the need to prove yourself to the one person in the world who should love and accept you as you are, the relationship is going nowhere fast.
