[...]shouldn't discovery move on meanwhile?
I know it has to be weighted against pissing off the magistrate, but Hardin mentioned 20+ requests to go still a while ago[...]

Where did he say that? Has Hardin actually requested more than Greer's litigation documents? I thought the 20+ requests mentioned in the scheduling hearing was potential requests, following up on what he learned about from initial discovery.
I meant Hardin mentioned he had more requests for production to make.
I remember it was a few months ago, and went back to find it, it was actually a mail thread attached to a motion:
Exhibit A first paragraph in green at the top of page 2.
Merged for our ZIP-free-users.
Aaah the more innocent times before first sanctions were even awarded... God I know I'm a thread noob but damn those motions and filings seem so old now don't they? Still a banger tho.

I guess as UM said it is would be a waste of money to ask for them now since who knows where the case is gonna be after the May meeting.

Also now I got a bit of anxiety since we got our own "show cause or face sanctions" in the thread by
Please give me a one paragraph explanation for why I shouldn't threadban you.

I would ask of you, if judge want case to behave like a proper case, why did he cut down the 5000$ fee and put it at only 1k? This have been stated in the thread is not the proper procedure.
People need to remember that the magistrate judge who has actually been coping with Russ is not the one who reduced the sanctions. It was the actual Article III judge who did that, while apparently having paid zero attention to the case itself.

People get confused not realizing there are two separate judges dealing with this drooling slurping faggot retard and his bullshit.
Can the magistrate even overrule the District Judge? I thought the District Judge was senior to the Magistrate.
Of course not. So that's exactly why it might happen. Because nothing is normal in this court. Fucking Utah.

You also can't ping-pong cases around the country by just re-re-transferring a case back and forth. And that shit happened too. Because full retard. We are living in Clown Law.

Order to Show Cause!
He shouldn't ordinarily be able to, no.
He actually can't, but n.b. Clown Law.

Magistrate rulings are "recommendations" that are usually almost automatically just adopted by the trial court judge, but in the case of vexatious litigants who contest every single adverse ruling, the real judge has to cope with it at some point, and is obligated by rule of law to do a de novo evaluation of the magistrate's recommendation (which this particular judge utterly failed to do).

This is why the supposedly time-saving purpose of having Article III judges able to assign routine tasks to magistrates and then accept their recommendations is actually a huge tool in favor of vexatious litigants, who endlessly relitigate the same issues over and over, so instead of just the magistrate's time being wasted, the Article III judge's time is also wasted.

Almost every attempt to streamline litigation is an abject failure that makes the problems even worse.

Go for it Russtard Hardin Null Useful_Mistake just gave the best advice you are ever going to get on this case. Send everything at that incompetent judge. Tell him what he needs to do.

Please give me a one paragraph explanation for why I shouldn't threadban you. Not only did you grossly misunderstood the post you were quoting, you are horribly misunderstanding basic fucking rulings; rulings that I have explained many many times.
You have been instructed--many thousands of times--what the basic fucking rulings mean. Failure to understand these constitutes felony thread-shitting-upping. Enjoy threadbans, child.

I hope for the funnies but the best I can expect is the judge doing a relatively mild dress down of Greer. As stated already he's always mild and meek when called in front of the principal... Judge. He's gonna do what he said in his book and zone out until he hears his name explicitly called and then nod and agree. Thankfully with a paralyzed face him staring off into space and drooling is standard appearances.
At the very least the Judge better give Shitlips a dressing-down. A declaration that the "I'm just a poor pro se retard who hasn't learned a fucking thing from the two billion frivolous lawsuits I've filed, y'honah" defense is no longer acceptable would be nice. Not going to hold my breath though.

If anyone is willing to explain, I'd be interested in why there are two judges involved in the case. Is one from a higher court or something?

At this time I would like to gently suggest that the OP be edited with a brief distinction between District Judges (sometimes referred to as “U.S. Judges” for whatever reason) and Magistrate Judges, to which we can point future confused parties who are not likely to read a nearly 800-page thread.

@AnOminous would it be possible to update the OP with this, as well as an FAQ section for tourists?

My counterargument to this is that if people are incapable of looking up the information for themselves, they shouldn't participate in this thread.

If only this was talked about nearly every single page.

In hopes that you actually read this - There are two types of Judges in federal cases on the lower level (I assume you know this is in federal court). The District Judges (consider them like a main judge), and the Magistrate (consider it like a helper judge). The Magistrate generally (and in this case) handles most if not all pretrial matters with exceptions to dismissals or things to that effect. The District Judge can always butt in, or remove the Magistrate from the case.

This is why your posting is already over, stalker. Enjoy the main Russel thread.

For real. Some of the Kiwis on this thread spend time and money getting us these hilarious court insights only for people to shit up the thread with questions that have been answered long ago. Shit up Russ’s other thread instead please (if that’s even possible).

Sounds like a cute relationship between them. Do they like… hold hands?
