If you aren't calling in a portable hellbomb as soon as you drop in and running for the closest objective like a suicidal uruk hai, are you even playing the game?Wouldn't it be jammed?

Comes with:oh there's a new subfaction for the automatons, the HOT BOYS, and you will be on fire
You know what to doFucking fuck the factory striders have jammers now. They apparently added roaming armored convoys on higher diff bot missions that have the ability to affect strats like the illuminate disruptors

If you like PvE shooters , yesis it worth getting into
The game is the best it's ever been and AH have been consistently providing quality content for a while now. I personally didn't have much experience with 3rd person shooters before getting it and I really enjoy it.A friend of mine randomly gifted me a few Steam gift cards (thankfully still unredeemed and active) and he said I might be interested in the game, after watching a few videos and noticing that both the base game and Super Citizen bundle are 20% off I'm considering it.
Considering that I have some experience with 3rd person shooters (mostly from the Ratchet & Clank games) and I love the absolute chaos of random groupings, is it worth getting into or am I out of my league here?
Absolutely. Helldivers is one of those games that you can play very casually or very hardcore and enjoy it the same. I tryhard the game a lot when I'm playing alone with randoms but when I'm playing with my friends or especially my family we bumble through missions and enjoy it the whole time. You can get very technical and know just how to tackle an enemy and how to counter it, engaging the enemy tactically. Or you could opt to just throw so much firepower at it that it (and any teammates who happen to be standing nearby) can't possibly survive and move onto the next problem to nuke from orbit. Very fun, and the wide range of difficulties ensures you can find a sweet spot somewhere.A friend of mine randomly gifted me a few Steam gift cards (thankfully still unredeemed and active) and he said I might be interested in the game, after watching a few videos and noticing that both the base game and Super Citizen bundle are 20% off I'm considering it.

If you decide to join the ranks, equip as soon as possible any armor with the Democracy Protects perk, it'll help you out as you level up and get a grip on the game, it gives you a 50% chance of surviving any lethal damage with 1hp, and it resets each time you get your health over that threshold. And remember, if a player wants to give you a hug, you never say no.A friend of mine randomly gifted me a few Steam gift cards (thankfully still unredeemed and active) and he said I might be interested in the game, after watching a few videos and noticing that both the base game and Super Citizen bundle are 20% off I'm considering it.

??? No bro, It's just a flat 50% chance to not die from any source of damage that would have usually killed you, no cooldowns, no ifs, ands, or buts. Sometimes you get really lucky and survive some absolutely silly things, like getting blown up and flung by a portable hellbomb you were wearing, immediately followed by the 100mph impact into a jagged rock face. 50% can be very generous.it resets each time you get your health over that threshold
it's on the mt. olympus of the best co-op games that ever were, next to left 4 dead killing floor and SWAT 4A friend of mine randomly gifted me a few Steam gift cards (thankfully still unredeemed and active) and he said I might be interested in the game, after watching a few videos and noticing that both the base game and Super Citizen bundle are 20% off I'm considering it.

The way I saw someone explaining it to me was, if your hp is over 1 point, you have another 50% chance of surviving another lethal blow. So the odds of surviving are still on play even when you're on the magic pixel territory???? No new ugly community drama of note, devs have made several substantial good-faith balance patches that are generally liked by the community, lots of new content updates, generally all around the answer is yes and now is in fact a terrific time to do so.Is Helldivers II worth getting back into? I know I stopped playing it when the bullshit with the community manager shit with their discord server came out, but I was just curious about the state of the game as it is today.
