This is written by a Paul Shea, who Aaron apparently went to high school with.
Point being that Aaron quite possibly
does believe it's newsworthy,
does want it broadcast, and indeed got somebody to agree with him. Make of that what you will.
Now, do I agree with him that Fox should cover it? No. They would probably wait until the ink is dry on the deal, if they decide to cover it at all.
You could maybe even argue Shea doing it is premature.
KF does it because KF isn't held to "journalistic standards." Whatever the fuck those are anymore. Rumors and speculation are our bread and butter.
