Where do you live? Because I know for a fact that is not possible, unless something changed recently.
Kentucky, and its not some fraud (that is also common tho). when they swipe their card it gives them the option of EBT or EBT CASH. how much they can spend as EBT CASH depends on how many dependents they have.

EBT cash can be used for those items. I see it every day.
There are several different programs that can load benefits to an Electron8c Benefits Card. One of them is SNAP (Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program). You can't buy anything but food with SNAP (formerly known as Food Stamps). There are other programs such as TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) that will provide cash to families, which receive federal block grants, but are administered by the STATE in which they are granted, and often include WORK REQUIREMENTS, which rules and requirements vary by state. Nobody is buying laundry detergent and "Baby stuff" with SNAP benefits. Nor would cutting off soda and junk food from SNAP do anything to stop people buying these things with TANF money.

That was parroting a report that was already known back in the day, and didn't really confirm anything that wasn't already known, and was mostly hokey.

Not to mention there are no in situ photos of any of the things pulled from the site, and the presence of things like animal bones isn't surprising when you realize Mcmartin was built on top of an old landfill that would contain items like that.
I'm sure it's just a coincidence that the place that's having a bunch of reports of freaky shit happening in secret tunnels just so happened to actually have tunnels after telling everyone there wasn't any.

Yes, you can. Apparently I need to belabor my point, but per the government itself the only thing preventing SNAP from being used for excluded items is the cashier themselves making sure the items scanned are coded properly. They choose how to code it, and with a wink and a "don't tell anybody!" to poor Daneexuaah they can put whatever they want through it. The government has neither the time nor the resources to pursue every single instance of this happening or audit it in a reasonable fashion, so it's mainly up to the stores themselves who I can tell you aren't going to be the ones to fess up and tell the government they did a no-no and to fine them.

A bleeding heart at the register (or just somebody who doesn't want to get loudly bitched at by some kween) will put those tide pods through. There is, again, nothing in place to stop them from doing this other than the government saying they will tell you that you are a very naughty boy.

I'm fully in favor of investigating EBT-enabled vendors for fraud, as well as Medicare/Medicaid vendors. This was always part of Trump's agenda and is in DOGE's list of things to do.

That has nothing to do with banning unhealthy foods from SNAP, which is an unrealistic goal as I've already explained in this thread.

In light of your unwillingness to even Google the simplest facts about the programs you're railing against and your inability to have a civil discussion, I'm just going to take Sam Hyde's advice right here about people who aren't arguing in good faith and say LOL fuck you, nigger.

He imagines that he's just better than us poors as he places his Doordash order on their new layaway plan.
The only food I get delivered to my house is pizza.

If I want anything else fast food wise, I'll drive myself to the restaurant and get it in person...

The problem with the SNAP discussion is that, yes, there is Deshaun who physically can't walk anymore because he drinks nothing but soda. But it also ecompasses the single father with his child who is told he can't just buy a single can of coke after a long day because the government (in their eyes), sees itself as knowing better than you about your health. And it will be spun as being needlessly cruel to take away what little joy they can take for such a low cost amount.

In that frame of mind it's easier to accept instead to put a percentage on what amoint of your snap card can go to sugar (or what I would probably suggest, banning the large portion sizes and restricting it to small individual cans.)

Listen here, nigger, the information I gave you came straight from the government's own website on the program, not a web query. It's linked in my post. Your post was a retarded AI search that you're using to say that it's not possible to abuse these programs (and you're in fact now changing your stance from saying "it's totally not possible whatsoever" to "it's possible but people don't do it"). They are good-faith programs that operate on the assumption that nobody will abuse them; not the guy at the checkstand, and not the monkey trying to get laundry pods and dish detergent that they're totally not going to sell secondhand for crack.

Here's two thoughts you've spat out across two different posts:

Pick one, retard. Either it can't happen because it's simply not possible, or vendor fraud can and does occur because there's not a fucking bouncer at the register to stop it from happening.

Id be more accepting of it if it were still made with real sugar as opposed to corn syrup at least..

Wow, fucking crazy, do you want to guess the races before you look, or do you need to go get your AI to answer that one too? I even used Jewtube for this one myself so you can't pull that "you didn't even do a simple google search :smug: " bullshit a second time.

This is actually kind of fitting. I'm sure it's been said plenty of times here and elsewhere, but lobster historically was a working man's food. Only recently did it become an upper-class thing. I'm actually of the opinion that fish and seafood ought to go back to being a poor people food and remain eligible for purchase through benefits. Lobster is 100% better for you than any of the candy or soda you can buy with them.
If rich people want to eat the sea bugs, I'm not going to stop them.

I have seen it with my own eyes. For years. Take your google search and shove it up your ass.
Is it a state program that uses the same card or even TANF? Both TANF (federal) and state analogs provide money that can be put on the balance of EBT cards and legally used to buy diapers. It’s not SNAP, but the confusion is understandable.

A basic AI search would have informed you that "No, you cannot typically use Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, formerly known as food stamps, to purchase laundry detergent, soap, hygiene products, or baby supplies, as these are considered non-food items."
I think you should die for saying "A basic AI search would have informed you..." To be on topic, I think Trump should shoot you.

No one is trying to stop this example from buying it with his own money, but when you are getting money from other people you can and should be told how you can spend It.

Once again beggars can't be choosers.

Unless you consider a refuse pit a tunnel, there's not giant secret tunnel networks under the school.
