I'll never understand why Nintendo gets so much flack for doing the bare minimum of diversity occasionally while shit like baldurs gate three gets a pass. I'm sure you'll have the option to just not make your miis do gay shit.

This is a bit more excusable because the 3ds struggles to render 4 Pokemon the trainers and the background so making the Pokemon to scale as well would be a challenge.

Sony apparently does the same thing for upgraded versions. Nintendo did something like that for the WiiU. It’ll probably cost a small fee to get the switch 2 version if you own a switch 1 copy.

Guess I’ll just wait for Switch 2 versions of every major title shown off in the Direct. A lot of them are clearly coming on both.

I wonder if they are going to rerelease Xenoblade X so close after it released

Let's hope so... that it's not the result of that blue-haired writer that got spotlighted a while back. Austin has absolutely become the Commiefornia of Texas, it's been getting that way for 20 years. Which is ironically about as long as the Prime series has been dormant.

Dread (a title taken right from Prime 3) kindov seemed tryhard to me, I blame "Lords of Shadow" Mercury Steam for that. Samus in Dread carries herself just like Gabriel Belmont. She didn't need to become Dracula (ala a Metroid) to be considered the ultimate warrior, she already was. Then again, I'm someone who hates the Sakamoto lore pretty deeply, as I think Other M was a dog shit Metroid game which utterly buttfucks Samus as a character if you actually consider it canon. I also haven't forgotten about the time Sakamoto low key discounted the Prime series back in the day, as though he were jealous of a bunch of America barbarians from Texas for making the best selling Metroid game at the time.

Dread was supposed to be a DS era 2D Metroid game. It's likely a lot of the original concepts were reused for Switch Dread.

And I for one like Metroid: Other M but a) I formed this opinion before youtube essay retards decided to pick the whole thing apart and b) am well aware of how bad the translation for it was vs the original Japanese script.

Dread was a rumor back in the N64 days, Prime 3 was calling back to it, not the opposite.

If you are physically in the same room you don't need an Internet connection, but how else did you plan to share games with friends not currently in the same location as you? Carrier pigeon?

You only need an Internet connection for the transfer, and to cancel the transfer or extend the two week limit.
