I guess, but while I find cultism for any political figure to be stupid, at least I understand that people get invested in those that they think represent them or their ideals. It doesn't help that at least in the case of Trump, he never really presented himself as morally pure or traditional, whereas Nick's whole brand that he sold was about him being 'a lawyer and family man' and he's expressed clearly now that he is not only neither of those things, but actually has open contempt for both. He's disparaging the idea of practicing law, saying he never even wants to do it again anyway, and of course we already know how he feels about the sanctity of marriage or the idea of putting his kids first.I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose any voters” - Donald Trump. Donald knows what's up. (Not trying to get political. The left has its crazies with huge cults. See Hasan and the Bernie bros.)
I'm gonna assume the few who still defend him are retards who fall somewhere in the incel/MRA spectrum, which I don't say hyperbolically, I genuinely assume it would be people with enough hatred of women to pin the blame of Nick's decline solely on Kayla. From there they can justify it as 'Nick was forced into despair and substance abuse by his wife'. Honestly, the sort of people who still defend JF after he very obviously disappeared his wife.
