Going easy could be seen as an acknowledgement that the harm wasn't as severe as the judge interpreted, while it would be hilarious is magnanimous Billy turned Karl into his own personal shill forever, advertising his hotsauce and starting every video with a personal thank you to the king of kong -- video gamer of the century -- it also makes it seem like Billy is being vindictive, never letting Karl forget about it -- this was what Karl intended to do to Billy which really rubbed the judge the wrong way.

Realistically Billy should take the money and then dissociate with Karl. If he wants to make himself look good he would donate it to charity or something.

Since he didn't, I have to assume that either his lawyer is a retarded and failed to plead correctly, excluding critical evidence due to it (cannot use a defense you did not plead) or that the evidence Karl relied on did not exist in the first place.
If Karl did not have a reason to believe his statements to be factually accurate, then he did in fact deserve to lose this lawsuit and get assraped by that Judge.

Obviously these are meant to be considered part of the same claim. Hello you absolute legends. As many of you know back in 2021 con artist of the
century Billy Mitchell sued me for defamation claiming damages of almost half a million dollars.
For almost three years this ridiculous lawsuit has dragged on and for the past year I've been
desperately trying to get a trial date as soon as possible.

So from my perspective, it seems silly to settle because I believe I will be successful,
and I believe that Billy will be ordered to pay back most of my costs.
It's not 100% of my costs, however.
The Judge can award Standard costs or Indemnity costs?
Standard costs is more common and usually the winning party would get back around 60-70%
of their costs.
But in some circumstances the Judge can award Indemnity costs, which would be up to 95%
of costs incurred.
If I do win, I think Indemnity costs are more likely, for reasons which I won't go over
in this video.
But in any case, the most important thing to realise is that this lawsuit, including
trial will have cost me around half a million dollars.
This means if Billy loses, he will almost certainly be required to pay me hundreds of
thousands of dollars to cover my expenses.
This is obviously a big deal, and I would be stupid to accept any settlement that didn't
also include the payment of all of my costs, given that I think the judge will award them
to me at trial.
So the chances of me and Billy settling before trial are extremely low, and I don't foresee
any circumstance in which that happens.
Billy can't just drop the lawsuit either.

I only noticed this behavior about a year ago where he made a video titled something like "Billy Mitchell BTFO by twin galaxies AGAIN using FACTS AND LOGIC", but if you look at the actual court files it was a settlement where BM got everything he wanted after severe misconduct by TG's lawyers.
